@@olehippy13 I returned to Vietnam for a visit and ended up making it my 2nd home. My house is near the Saigon Zoo and McDonalds on Dien Bien Phu Street. When friends come to visit, I take them up to the rooftop bar of the Rex Hotel and we tell each other lies like "5 O'clock Follies" back then. Have you been back?
@TehMikeArts Thanks, I should correct myself. I think the Ka-50 is the only helicopter that has ejection seats like that. The AH-1 doesn't have any though.
oh and ps.. the "buldges" on a Z are MUCH bigger than that and they are more towards the rear of the cockpit. those buldges are what the front counter measure dispenser (that i was talking about in my previous reply) is located in. hope i helped clear it up:)
they don't have ejection seats but in the case that the pilots survive a crash landing there is a small explosive charge on the windows that will explode and force the side panels of glass out for easy escape from the aircraft.
thats definantly a AH-1W. the Zs have a ton of differences that will immediately set the two apart, for example.. the Zs stub wings are noticeably longer and bigger, the Ws have the counter measure dispensers on top of the wings whereas the Zs have them built into the body of the acft on the tail boom and just below the rear of the cockpit, the sighting system above the gun on the W is a can shape with two parallel oval windows and the Z has a much bigger Ball shaped one, and the blades (W2 Z4)
Approximately, it matches. First of all, the expanding exhaust tower is a countermeasure against heat sensing radar. It was adopted for all models. After that AH - 1 was equipped with chaff. The VIPER plan was activated afterwards.
You just called rotors, propellers. All credibility lost.. Even if that was a real concept, I'm not sure how I'd feel, knowing the blades keeping me in the air are subject to disengaging from the mast with a simple firing of a solenoid...
This heli sounds so badass.
was on the evaluation team for the "W" in 1986 China Lake.
Fuck I'm getting old.
Tell me about it. I drove G model Snakes in 70-71.

@larlar752000 You're right. Also, one of the AH-65 prototypes was fitted with a downward firing ejection seat.
@ReverbZero Its an AH-1W with the new exhausts, The AH-1Z is a four main bladed rotor and tail rotor.
Great video!!
@ManteganiPhotos yes they do, the propellers fly out and then it ejects like a plane
The warrior sound!

1:45, "okay, where do they hide the pringles on this flight. I will find em guys, i will!!"
@ReverbZero I wish it was an AH-1Z. But this one only has a double bladed router, not the four bladed one that is on the Z model.
2枚ブレードの音、最高ですわ!
this concept i hope will never die and the next more powerful chopper better have the name of cobra on it there is no finer name for such a role
The SOUND !!! ))
agree one of the best sound helicopters out there
I saw one of these in camouflage paint

Imposing? That thing is a beast!
i like how almost all of the 303 vids on here are of us dicking around
awesome

Zs have 4 blade rotors, the most noticeable feature
Forgot 2 clips on engine access panel
checking for leaks and other various things....the side panels contain fuel filters, hydraulic lines ect....I wasa cobra mech
カッコイイ😍
沖縄で飛んでいるの見たことあります!
最近、AH-1Zが厚木基地周辺を飛んでいることもありました。
Gives me the goose bumps.
Manutenção deixou duas travas do capô do motor sem travar!
so? What happens all changes
How do the pilots eject out?
pause it at 1:08...you will get the best view
"Outlaw, this is Deadly. We are heading out to refuel and rearm. You are on your own for now, Outlaw."
So...from this video, I am guessing that current W-model Cobras have been upgraded with the bulging exhausts from the Viper. Pretty cool

The Arcenal We upgraded to AH-1Z's but we still fly the Whiskey's
true, but i like the petite elegance of the AH-1. Sleek, agile, deadly....like a cobra... :)
@ManteganiPhotos The KA-60/52 does
@ReverbZero Aw gee, I didn't even look at that, I feel stupid now D:
Nice chopper and video regardless.
Вертолёт с самыми большими лопастями в мире !!!!!!
@TheBattleMaster100 Helicopters don't have ejection seats :)
CRAP THERE ONTO ME AHHHH
I know composite rotors have better performance at this point but those steel blades are absolute sex. Only thing better is the 214.
Sensacional
I do realize the ka50 works this way though, I'm talking about the AH1W. To make sure you understand, I'm not saying you are wrong... ;)
best heli evvvver
I do believe that is an AH-1Z. Look at the exhaust and the bulges next to the cockpit.
cool
@ReverbZero I make similar mistakes like that all the time, and thanks.
I can't believe Bell Wasted the coolest cobra model concept
It was pretty much like the AH-1Z but cheap
yes same sound because they r using same motor :)
that's one sexy paraffin budgie!
У AH-1Z четыре(4) лопасти,это AH-1W Super Cobra-Super!!!
he was looking for pikachu
sounds just like a Huey oh yeah!
You from helcopter

only the KA-50/52 -blacksharks have ejections
42
they ruined the cobra when the viper got 4 blades, like this one better
+NaeNAe I think you've been smokin' too much medical marijuana.
U wot m8? FACT: the w model and earlier use the same engine as the old hueys

that sucks
