A trick to negotiating, do not rave about how beautiful the item is to the seller 😊. It is amazing though to see items hundreds of years old, in the U.S. There’s just not a lot of finds in antique shops that olde.
And do not say that the price offered by the dealer is "cheap"....Billy had no where to go to get the price down after saying how cheap they were and what a good price they are ...!!!
@Greg Appelgren My opinion exactly!! At that point the Brocanteur, as Ryan called him, already knows he's dealing with someone who wants it, plans to purchase it, especially now because Ryan loudly declared to Billy it was a good price, in front of the very shrewd "Brocanteur"!!! 🇺🇲
Oh Ryan two of the green chairs would be great for your office. They are exquisite & look very comfortable! I love those green chairs-excellent condition❣️😅
I’m impressed by how easily you are able to switch between English and French! I enjoyed the shopping trip! The commode and chest of drawers were my favorites.
Frenchman or as a classic Quebequois or even as a Parisian. Ah zut alors!!! Ah tebernac! Merci mon amis... and yet I am able to fool a french friend of mine for 4 years. One day he takes a call from his new wife to be and I hear his say in French Bonjours ma belle! So I said ah you speak French too.. oh he was angry... well specially that I said it in French....
It's not that hard to switch from French to English. Moi je suis francophone! But I live amongst many English friends. As I can fully conversed in both languages at the same time. And best is I can do it as An Ontario
Wow Micheal is doing well this week. Sean made him a beautiful bread board and now he's got a lovely copper ladle. What a lucky chap. Alway like to see you and Billy shopping. Xxxx
I am so glad that you guys are together now I always love your shopping trips at the bracounts! This was no exception. You’re always so good about showing things and making us drool! Thanks Ryan sending love from California🤟🏻💜😎🤗🇺🇸
I love these great brocante videos - You should team up with interior decorators in the US to do virtual shopping for unique and beautiful pieces you can't find anywhere here. Those wall sconces with the crystals really caught my eye!
It's amazing how many treasures are stacked up sky high. Since the USA is a young nation, we just don't have the quantity available. It's fun to shop with you guys! Thanks for taking us along!
Billie was waiting for his brocante shopping buddy to return. You guys make a great team looking for old antiques. Your enthusiasm needs to be dialed back a wee bit if you want to negotiate a deal however!🥴 Billie’s knowledge of suitable, rare antiques is boundless. Love these trips❣️
I do understand why the shop is Billy's favorite. It has so many different styles and ages of furniture and nick nacks. It's lovely to walk in it and find all the new stuff what came in the last time.
Love your negotiating Ryan, I love it when you speak French I think the green chairs at 70 euros each were my favourite, as usual a great video much love xxxxxxxxxxx😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lovely video again Ryan…..you have a lovely speaking voice when you’re not doing the cockney thing which you told me you picked from relatives….! Given you were brought up in France it’s great that you can switch so easily from one language to another and yes definitely better in my humble opinion to hear you speak in the lovely accent I heard you speak in the Brocante today…..! It’s also great to see you back helping Billy …….keep up the good work, your office is going to be a lovely place to work in !x 🙂
I lived in France for many years, I think you could have negotiated much much better. But that’s just my humble opinion. Knowing how the french think and reply to the first interaction, a more in-depth conversation usually give the seller pause fir thought. It’s a dance in France, and they do realise anyone outside of their commune will pay more, much much more 😊
I agree with the others as far as the negotiating goes. Gasping and gawking and everything, he knows you have money to spend. The trick is to seem uninterested and be willing to walk away. You would be surprised how many times they will come chase you down for the price they just told you "no" over if they think you're going to walk away without buying anything. Something else that helps is if you bundle things together they're more likely to come down on the price.
I enjoyed going antique shopping with you both! The copper items were a great find. Wish I was in the shop with you! The flat copper strainer, with all the holes, used to take meat & veggies out of broth after cooked.
Love the commode chest looks as though it might be a period one and the long guilt wood side table which would have had a marble top Absolutely crack on with this antique hunting Kind regards Nicholas 😊
I seem to remember that Bruneau gave you good deals in the past, most of my stuff came from there and he does really great prices. Best not to go too low when you make an offer, it's not a flea market ! xo
The only trick I use when negotiating (because I can’t do it) is being prepared to walk away. You need to decide if you want the item, how much you think it’s worth, and add on a bit for profit for the seller. If it’s meant to be you’ll get it, if it’s not then it’s because you didn’t really need it :) Love your vlogs, keep being you xx Ps you said to tell you what I liked in the broconte, well I can’t because I love everything vintage and I’d still be in there looking at stuff :) ;)
It's fun watching you and Billy together. The two of you are hilarious separately, but when you get together I truly can't help smiling from the beginning of the video right to the very end. It's obvious you both care about each other and genuinely enjoy each other's company.
Ooh my Gosh!!! Unfortunately I have to live vicariously through you because if I went in that shop it would feel like I died and went to heaven.. THOSE STEAMER TRUNKS!!❤️❤️😍😍
I'm so jealous of the antiques prices there. We have no supply in the US, and the ones that are here are so much more expensive. Maybe I should have you shop for me and I can ship it in half a container or so?!
Ryan my darling. I love going antique shopping with you guys. I love the giant picture frame. The dresser and small dresser. So many beautiful items. See ya tomorrow. Take care and stay safe 🇺🇸🕊🌈🌹❤️🍺🙏🌞😇👍🎈
Hey Ryan so glad to see you & Billy out shopping again, I wish I knew your fascination with the old trunks when there are so many beautiful pieces of furniture to look at. Oh well, see you next time. God Bless, Kathy 🇺🇸
That shop is my idea of heaven 😍 That beautiful statue next to the glass domed clock .. I was dreaming of it in life size for the convent chapel. Would be so lovely. Great video Ryan 👍
I like your negotiation philosophy. Everyone has their own thoughts behind their offers. Keeping a good repoir with shops you frequent is also a good idea. Do what you're comfortable with. So glad you're back. Take a day off once in a while. Thanks for sharing
I like hearing you speak French, most definitely a romantic language!! That antique shop sure has the stuff. I love antique shopping, but for some reason I seem to get anxious and want to get out quickly. Guess I am feeling the spirits of the past and their furniture or something. (Weird I know)
Always fun spending time with you and Billy, Ryan. Those green chairs would be pretty in a billiards room or a gentlemen's parlor. So many beautiful things. Hope you have a great weekend. 😘💕
Great video Ryan. I like shopping with you. I like the way you scan the camera around and tell what you are looking at. All was adventures shopping with the two of you. Thanks again for the fun.
My walk was fantastic and I just listened to some great songs and getting in shape for my trip🙂 .. Yes more of this fun for the weekends. THANKS BOYS I love Laval wonderful town.
Oh Billy and you really know how to have a good time! I watch waaaaay too much brocanting adventures which is probably why I feel like I have seen this footage before especially when you go to the area where the trunks are lol but hey that just means I am obsessed lol!
A fun day antiquing…. Super finds! Michael will be happy with the copper sieve.. I have one similar.. the handle is brass, sieve is copper! I enjoyed shopping with you and Billy 🥰
I love frames. I have one just about the same size as the one you first looked at. I love it so much but I think I'm the only one in the family that appreciates it. It has a huge mirror in it. It takes several grown men to move it.
Hi Ryan! I absolutely love watching your videos. You have the best sense of humor and seem like a terrific guy! You always make me laugh and I love your choice of music. Much love from Indiana, USA. Keep smiling!
Love when you show us the Brocante. This one was so full of nice things. I bet that Michael will really love his Monogram on that copper piece. Bye see ya
Oh Ryan you need to say is that your best price, & be confident, always offer a bit less than what they say. I am in awe of the way you switch between English & French language. Thanks for sharing.
That was a beautiful antique frame. So ornate but not too over the top. A perfect frame to put the portrait of Billy in. And Billy is right there with you!!! Does Billy approve? I hope you got the frame. When you hang it in your office PLEASE do show us in your future uploads. Love all your videos. 👍
I have to ask you, Ryan, when did you learn to speak French? I live in Southern California, USA, so Spanish is my second language. I love your enthusiasm!
Ryan you are so interesting to follow around and you and Billy are so good together. I've been involved in selling items at our local Garage Sales and negotiating is the hardest part of it.....you did well....sure doesn't hurt to make an offer!
This is our favourite brocante too, we've bought some lovely things from here, but if Bruneau is not in a negotiating mood on the day you definitely know it! 😂
Ryan, nice video. Could you consider putting information about your music choices in the description?! Would be great to know the Music and artist you are featuring on your videos !! 🙂
Antique shopping envy. There is absolutely no where, where I live in Canada, to find antiques. I was watching someones vlog and they found a chandelier that was wood and length ways it was just what we are looking for. Sadly it was sold. It would probably been too heavy to ship to Canada. Although I have an antique Marble clock, mid 1800s made by Boxall in Brighton, very heavy, I won an online auction, had that shipped here. I love it when you go antique shopping.
A trick to negotiating, do not rave about how beautiful the item is to the seller 😊. It is amazing though to see items hundreds of years old, in the U.S. There’s just not a lot of finds in antique shops that olde.
I was thinking the same thing.
And do not say that the price offered by the dealer is "cheap"....Billy had no where to go to get the price down after saying how cheap they were and what a good price they are ...!!!
Sad but true ! Always be a bit nonchalant when at yard sales or antique stores .
Olde ....is the old way of spelling old.
@Greg Appelgren
My opinion exactly!! At that point the Brocanteur, as Ryan called him, already knows he's dealing with someone who wants it, plans to purchase it, especially now because Ryan loudly declared to Billy it was a good price, in front of the very shrewd "Brocanteur"!!! 🇺🇲

The copper item with the holes is a antique Victorian/ Georgian dairy skimmer for making cream great video as always
Wow Micheal is doing well this week. Sean made him a beautiful bread board and now he's got a lovely copper ladle. What a lucky chap. Alway like to see you and Billy shopping. Xxxx
It's good to see you back on line with your very positive attitude. Don't change Ryan, you beautiful soul 🌈
I am so glad that you guys are together now I always love your shopping trips at the bracounts! This was no exception. You’re always so good about showing things and making us drool! Thanks Ryan sending love from California🤟🏻💜😎🤗🇺🇸
Those green chairs would go beautifully in the billiard room!
I love these great brocante videos - You should team up with interior decorators in the US to do virtual shopping for unique and beautiful pieces you can't find anywhere here. Those wall sconces with the crystals really caught my eye!
Love coming along for the antique shopping, so much to look at.
It's amazing how many treasures are stacked up sky high. Since the USA is a young nation, we just don't have the quantity available. It's fun to shop with you guys! Thanks for taking us along!

Billy is all business at the brocante and he sure knows his stuff. You knew the prices were already a good value. Love the antique shopping! 💜💜💜
Love it when you go to antique shops with Billy, you take time to translate for us which makes it so interesting. Beautiful items there. Thnk you 💕🇦🇺
You're a good person, Ryan. I appreciate the filming of the Brocante. Good to see what is there and the vastness of it! 💗
Weekend brocanting with the boys is a nice change of pace.
I do understand why the shop is Billy's favorite. It has so many different styles and ages of furniture and nick nacks. It's lovely to walk in it and find all the new stuff what came in the last time.
Chandeliers, mirrors, copper … let me get my coat & bag & come with you Ryan! I love a good haggle .. as you say, to try & get a bargain 😊
Beautiful music today Ryan
Love your negotiating Ryan, I love it when you speak French I think the green chairs at 70 euros each were my favourite, as usual a great video much love xxxxxxxxxxx😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes that is true , but in my opinion not only in France but everywhere worldwide.
I agree with the others as far as the negotiating goes. Gasping and gawking and everything, he knows you have money to spend. The trick is to seem uninterested and be willing to walk away. My goodness 😳 😍 your video made me want to jump on a plane and fly the 20,000 kms so I could shop my wee heart out with you ♥️
Fun shopping trip . Thanks for taking us along!
I enjoyed going antique shopping with you both! The copper items were a great find. Wish I was in the shop with you! The flat copper strainer, with all the holes, used to take meat & veggies out of broth after cooked.
Hiya Ryan,,love these outings with you both.Have a nice weekend.
Love the commode chest looks as though it might be a period one and the long guilt wood side table which would have had a marble top
Absolutely crack on with this antique hunting
Kind regards Nicholas 😊
Thank you for a wonderful vlog! Beautiful antiques!! Love hearing your French conversations.
I seem to remember that Bruneau gave you good deals in the past, most of my stuff came from there and he does really great prices. Best not to go too low when you make an offer, it's not a flea market ! xo
I always love going along to the antique stores with you and Billy!
I love seeing the antique shops because we (in Canada) just don't have things as old as what is available in France. Thanks for sharing Ryan.
Shopping with The Boys is always fun!!
So enjoyed our trip to the antique shop, wow what a coincidence Michaels initials on the spoon, he’ll love it.
The only trick I use when negotiating (because I can’t do it) is being prepared to walk away. What a fabulous antique store. The prices are so much cheaper than in the states. So much fun. xx
Omg I would love to have those green chairs
It's fun watching you and Billy together. The two of you are hilarious separately, but when you get together I truly can't help smiling from the beginning of the video right to the very end. It's obvious you both care about each other and genuinely enjoy each other's company.
I love french antiques - someday someday I will be able to afford

like the subtitle translation. good job Ryan.
You’re the perfect negotiator Ryan. You tried but didn’t conquer and were a good sport about it. Thanks for the subtitles, we appreciate that.
I love exploring those types of shops. You have to dig to find treasures.
Thank you Ryan for showing all, especially, love trunks and marble top items. You are a star

I think the green chairs, both leather & velvet would work well in the library! Lots to love in that shop!
Hey Ryan so glad to see you & Billy out shopping again, I wish I knew your fascination with the old trunks when there are so many beautiful pieces of furniture to look at. Oh well, see you next time. God Bless, Kathy 🇺🇸
Good to see you and Billy back in the old familiar places. Has to be finished - that my heart embraces!!!

Loved the shopping trip! Loved those green chairs.
I like your negotiation philosophy. Everyone has their own thoughts behind their offers. Keeping a good repoir with shops you frequent is also a good idea. Do what you're comfortable with. So glad you're back. Take a day off once in a while. Thanks for sharing
You forgot to ask about the price of the fabric covered table.

@6:00 that's a little St. Peter Statue the the left of the clock!🥰
I love frames. I have one just about the same size as the one you first looked at. I love it so much but I think I'm the only one in the family that appreciates it. It has a huge mirror in it. It takes several grown men to move it.
I’m from the US and I always thought/used “commode” as a toilet. 😂
That frame can hold Billy and Gwen’s Lord of the manor painting!! 🤔
Bye see ya
wonderfull ! it shows the richness and culture of old french!
Oh Ryan you need to say is that your best price, & be confident, always offer a bit less than what they say. I am in awe of the way you switch between English & French language. Thanks for sharing.
Love this video, I love antiques but have never gone hunting for some, I hope to soon! Thanks, Ryan, as always, very entertaining and engaging.
I really like the occasional brocante tour. And I like your cardigan too!
Love looking at all antiques.
This is our favourite brocante too, we've bought some lovely things from here, but if Bruneau is not in a negotiating mood on the day you definitely know it! 😂
Sean should have came along too, he knows so much about copper. I think you got a great price on all that copper!! 👌
Ryan, nice video. Could you consider putting information about your music choices in the description?! Would be great to know the Music and artist you are featuring on your videos !! 🙂
Hey Ryan love your and Billy's adventures to the antique stores
WISH I WAS THERE. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ❤️ 👌
