I will never forget this trip Debi planned. Sorry it didn’t work out but with taking matters into your own hands, it worked out to your advantage.
Now you’re going to France again, to purchase and resale. I look forward to seeing future videos, regarding that trip (Happy Anniversary). Barbara Jean Youlio.

"Plan du Marché" means Map of the Market!! You actually were in the Vernaison Market in the St Ouen Flea market, North of Paris. Nice finds, maybe a little pricey. I woulda paid 0.45 € for the used paint can.

I would have paid nothing for it. "I'll take it away for you so you won't have to pay the dump. How 'bout that? What a deal."

Oh my goodness... I NEED SMELLING SALTS AFTER THIS VIDEO! I think I have hyperventilated 3 times with items I saw ..... Have to say you two are very disciplined...but then you know what sells in your Shop. But oh my.... the “wood spools in ALL sizes... Yup all those copper pots, then the silverware and the drawer after drawer of knobs.... the little stools.... ! “. I need the salts again! I think I need to watch this again!
Good thing I am NOT going....LOL!!!! I am in awe at how you got it all home! PROFESSIONAL FOR SURE!
Now I can’t wait to see the items in your HOME ! So exciting!

I have a tip on bring back things from a trip. Take clothes that you don't care is you leave there to make room for your purchases. take your oldest nightgown, underie and socks. Once there dirt toss them and that will help on making more room in the suitcase. The other plus side is less laundry to wash when you get home.

Oh I have carried so many treasures on my back.😅In the old days you got 2 big bags but I do ok with just one. I go with tiny bits of clothes. I always go to the neighborhood markets like you found at the end. You can google them. I go to one or two on Sat and another on Sunday. Nothing but markets on the weekend. I go solo at almost 70. I keep my money safe and am aware. I don't think you were in danger it was just very different. My favorite is that gorgeous frame, next the copper pots. ❤❤

Last time I went to Paris was with my daughter. She’s a patisserie chef. We spent the entire time visiting chocolate shops and brought back over $300 in chocolates just from La Masion du Chocolat on av. des Champs-Elysee. The goodies are long gone but we still have the boxes!!!! Simple but dear to us souvenirs.
I love everything you brought back! I think it all belongs in your new home or as part of a display at the shop. You can use them for class props when demonstrating how to duplicate a French patina/vintage look.

I love what you brought back. My favourite thing to buy though is things made from fabric. Their quilts are amazing and I love linen tea towels, nothing dries better. Marche is pronounced marshay, like Bon Marche the American supermarket, which literally translates to good market.

First off…what fun and good for you to go to France even though you don’t speak the language. You got great items both for yourself and to resell, and I totally get the “special souvenirs”, I’m like that too. Forget the snow globes and key chains 😅 Can’t help but catch the references of DIY paint colors - White Swan and Tarnished Pearl being the names of your friends’ stores. Coincidence? Or Debi Beard paying homage to them ?? Ummm never mind it is Debi (I see her in the sketchy storage unit) 🤣🤣🤣

If you want to shine them up naturally (no chemicals) apply ketchup to the copper and let them sit for an hour or so and they will rinse beautifully clean and shiny. The inside may need retined but then you’d have to send them off to be redone.

Hi ! If ever you come back to France you need to go to Lille for the first week of September. It is the biggest flea market I have been to (BTW it is called the Braderie de Lille). The whole town is shut down and loads of people sell stuff on the street. The restaurants have a competition in between them and the ambiance is really nice. With COVID it is a bit complicated for the minute but it is a huge tradition so go once it opens up again.

At 9:14, those linen under garments, I can get for 2 euros each, not far from where we live here in Germany. =D 5 euros isn't too bad for the key, but you can find them for 1-3 euros each usually. I go to flea and antique markets a few times a month, from France, Belgium and Germany. Lots of variation in prices and if you're American. It's great you all had such a great time and got so many things you love! I hope you got enough good advice before going. You can't know so much in a few days of hunting. I've been at this now for months and learned tons but have so much more to learn. I could always give you tips too, if you ever come back to Europe. Heck, I could even find deals you can get if you come back, and even have some ready for you. But then, I'm in Germany. And lots of stuff is the same here anyway, like the copper pans, enamelware, the apothecary jars, etc.

Check out Miss Mustard Seed. She went to France and bought copper. She had them re-tinned so that she could use them. I don't know if you are using them but just FYI. When we were in France we asked about Flea Markets. We were sent to the Clinkinbeard train station but we could not find the sale. It was just tucked away off the beaten path so we missed it. There is another brocanthe section in Paris but we didn't have time to get to it. I need to get back to France to go thrifting. It sounds like you had an amazing trip. Amen to the potty stops. When I come home I have all of the suitcases packed inside of each other because I only go home with my clothes. Next time you do a trip like this you may want to buy suitcases that fit inside of each other this way you can only fly one suitcase there and then maybe 2 or 3 back just a suggestion I love your videos you guys are terrific you make me very happy and bring joy to my days. Really enjoyed this video. A friend and I went to a nearby antique shop recently, she had just gotten some shutters in from Belgium. They are so wonderful, the wood, some chipped paint and the hardware was so impressive, and the thickness of them is really something in it self, something you would not find in the USA. So much charming character. I bought one, $30. and I thought that was cheap. She had different sizes in which in my mind I could picture them on cottages or buildings in a quaint village of sorts. Thanks for sharing and you got some really neat treasures.

Love your videos! In Paris you’ve been visiting flea market Marché Vernaison, which is located near the metro station Porte de Clignancourt. Plan de marché just means map of the market area.
