The sight of the start of The Indy 500 is always goose bumps on your arms exciting, but to see the field as they round turn 4 onto the front stretch...you see all of the fans and it makes me want to jump and shout with joy! In 2020 without any fans inside the Speedway, the "World's Greatest Race" looked as it it were taking place in a bizarre nightmare. I hope that we NEVER have to go through that again. Fans in the stands, many of whom have been coming for years if not decades, IS what makes this race come alive. Thank you for posting this "fans eye view" of the start of the 2021 "Greatest Spectacle in Racing."
You’re welcome! My seats are pretty amazing. Very top 2 rows above the regular stands. We’re in the first row of that, Seats 1&2! Yep. Last year really sucked. I thought it wouldn’t happen this year either because of the clown mayor of Indy but, they surprised me.
I went for the 98th and the 100th. We sat in E on the 98th and we were extremely lucky and got tickets for like $98 at pit row right next to gasoline alley. I had a double ear infection but that didn't stop it from being the best race ever. Helio Castroneves saying hi to you is the coolest thing ever.
Very nice. We attended this year too (native Hoosiers, but have lived in Seattle for two decades now)! We were in the C stands - midway down the front straight. Was a VERY slow start, but a well organized and safe one. Great finish (again).
@@jscorp681 I've always known about the Indy 500 but last year I became an actual Indycar fan and watched both last year's and this year's race as well as watching full race replays
Great seats, very different than my view. Both are freaking awesome views. I am in T3 top row below deck and spotters. Love your view, looks perfect for the road course on July 30&31st. I am going to purchase seats for Indy/nascar double-header...what section are you in. I wanted to be around section 15???
We are at the very top of our section. I think it’s 17? Seats 1 & 2! Yeah, great view but I do love to go down during the race close the the fence just to feel the speed as they rip thru 4. Pretty incredible.
We are in those two extra rows above the main stands. The only drawback is all the assholes that try to come up there during the race and crowd our space. I am constantly having to run them out. Those seats are not cheap!
@@jscorp681 same thing in T3 with snakepit. They can see empty seats so they try to hit them later in the race. Been going since 1973. In stand J for long time been in T3 for 20y now. Won't ever move. Like yours, why mess with perfection. Thanks for info on sections. Damn, that's such a neat view of them diving into T3. They are coming straight at me, so that side angle is great.
I prefer indy then f1,the f1 is more easier to drive, indy is more dificult, and I say to me,I wanna see if f1 drivers can drive indy cars, and beside indy more harder then f1,the speed is more higher then f1,and indy has no protection on the wall,I wanna see if f1 drivers can drive indy car
NEVT SEC 9 ROW RR SEAT 11 has a perfect view. Plus it's the only row in T3 that has shade all race. 47years attending 500, had bad seats a few times...it sucks...renew these until I die.
Cool story, bro. Nobody is forcing you to go. If you don’t enjoy it TURN THE CHANNEL. Don’t attend. See how easy that was? So, you posted your stupid comment here just to be a dick? Feel better now? 😉🤟🏻🇺🇸

Goose bumps is an understatement...

The absolute neatest sporting event in the world at the most awesome sporting venue in the world...nothing like it any where.
Yep. Still gives me goosebumps every time!
Think Le Mans is better.

Salve...Salve... Hélio Castroneves.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing!
One of THE BEST INDY 500s ever !
Then you are clearly too young to have ever seen any of the 1980s/1990s races.
Savage!
I can't wait to hear this sound in about a month again
Same here!

I think the field this year was as bunched up as I’ve seen in a long time at the start. Usually, they seem to be a lot more spread out at the start.
Just a thing of beauty!
Yes it is! I’ve been to at least 30+ and it never gets old.
I've got to go to an Indy 500 one day!
It’s amazing! Having lived in Indy my whole life and been to 37 of them, the history, the traditions, the speed,…..there’s nothing like it!

Romain Grosjean, Marcus Erricson, 2 former F1 driver, did amazing in Indy straightaway. i think it can tell us F1 is much more difficult than Indy.
Worst track to watch a race period.there isn't a single section in the whole track where you have a view of enough
Here’s a novel idea, sunshine. Don’t go then. Let the rest of us 300,000 folks enjoy the greatest spectacle in racing. 😉
