Been having the SAME issue with my 98 wave runner and i installed a bilge pump today because I couldn’t figure out where the water was coming from but I’m going to check that hose connection you showed in this video!
My problem was a damaged water line that connects to a garden hose when running the ski out of water. Have you checked your carbon ring and bellow? If worn our loose it could allow water into the hull.
So what carb settings did you end up with high and low? TCH watersports near me could sell you an original water adapter off a junk jet ski. TCH in eatonton GA. I doubt it would cost much.
Can't really say on the low speed mag side. Because of the possible thread damage I couldn't use the normal setting. I would say a half turn out is where it has run the best and we have been on the lake a number of times. I used the factory settings on the others.
How you doing sr, im having a big problem with my xl 800 reverse, it got stuck and i dont want to break it, i just bought it, can you show me how to fix it please, thank you sr!
Well, without seeing it myself, it could be a couple of things. First, check and see if anything is obstructing your reverse lever, not allowing it to move. Second, check the cable itself, it could be damaged or rusted at one end which would stop it from working. I had to replace my reverse cable because it rusted out and would not work.
@@papadonjetski9535 thank you so much, i’ve found that the cable its broken and i have to replace it, thank you so much! You should do a video fixing/changing it!

Thank you for the videos. I have an 2001 XL 800 that I have to do a top end rebuild on and this was a great tutorial.
Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement.
My 2014 Waverunner sport is getting water via the front hatch. Got a new 'packing' (Gasket) & hopefully the water issue will be solved?
Pipe thread and hose thread are different you just need a garden hose plug
What was the problem ... Same thing happened on my 1999 Sea-Doo GTX

Put some PWC Doctor Versiplugs in it. You could have sucked all the water out before you got back to the ramp.
You are right. Saw them in an ad last week.
I understand and shit is expensive brother but how much more money you gonna spend on it and just say and damn mess by what it needs
What are your time worth it? You’re spending all this unnecessary work
I love spending time tinkering on these things.
Is there a tldr? I don’t have 17 mins
