      Thank you very much for watching and for your kind comment! We went at the end of October. If you check our vlogs where we show the whole trip, you can see that we include the exact date at the beginning of the days. In this way you can see which areas are having the peak of the autumn colours first, as it changes a lot from valley to valley. Of course, every year is gonna be a little bit different, but October is the best month for autumn colours for sure. :-)

      Thank you so much for watching our video and for your kind words! We visited the Dolomites at the end of October. You can see the exact dates in the different locations in our long vlogs of the Dolomites. In the first week of November many trees have lost their leaves already, but this can change from year to year depending on the weather. Also different valleys and places have different trees and altitudes, so this will influence the colours a lot too. Hope you’re lucky when you visit them! ☺️

      Thank you so much for watching! We were there in the end of October. If you go mid-late September, the autumn colors won’t be ready but if you don’t mind, that would be perfect because there will be more water on the lakes, less cold.

    Wow, just wow! We just returned to Canada from our trip to Ireland. Most of them inspired by you. Now we're also travelling soon to the Dolomites and in autumn from Sep.29-Aug.09, 2022. Do you think there's still now snow during this time? Would the weather be ok? I love the colour of the autumn and we'lll try to squeeze in the main attractions in three days. Those drone footage are beautiful! I also fly my drone and I have never taken footage as clear as yours. I heard that in Dolomites they don't care much about drone flying. You're free to fly! BTW, what drone are you using???

    • @ReigneOrShine
      @ReigneOrShine  2 роки тому

      Thanks a million for your kind comment and for watching our videos! We're really happy that we brought you some inspiration to travel to those places. We just watched some of your drone shots in Ireland and you captured wonderful light and weather, well done! Really glad that you enjoyed Ireland and we wish you a wonderful trip to the Dolomites too.
      The snow in the Dolomites usually arrives at the end of October or later, we only had it in our last day actually. It shouldn't be too cold in the dates that you´re going, but in the Alps is always a good idea to have warm clothes prepared, specially in the early morning and at sunset the temperatures can drop a lot. For the autumn colours they start changing during October, but every year may change a little bit. Oh and we were OK with the drone, but just check online because some areas are restricted if you´re in protected areas, we try to film always far from people and using sunrise/sunset as much as possible to get special light but to avoid many people noticing us too.
      We're using a DJI Mavic Air 2, trying to film in D-Cinelike/D-Log mode and editing the videos with Final Cut Pro (using HDR mode only for videos with the sun in the composition). Recently, Chano started to film almost everything in 60fps too, we will post today our Procida vlog and you can see that the shots look even smoother. :)

    This is an amazing video. You have done a marvelous job capturing the beauty and the prime time of this land.
    I would like to ask a question on when is the best timing to visit Dolomite if I want to appreciate the autumn colors there?
    Is the peak time of autmn color differs from region to region in the Dolomite area? If so, when is the best time for Alpe di Siusi, Cinque Torri and Largo di Braises? Thanks you so much.

    • @ReigneOrShine
      @ReigneOrShine  Рік тому +1

      Thank you very much for watching our video and for your kind words too!
      My husband has been planning this autumn trip for few years, he has been saving pictures from other photographers and checking dates to try to guess the best dates for every location, while still being able to visit as many places as possible in the time we had available. Different valleys and mountains will have different altitude and weather conditions, which will affect the colours and the trees that you find there too.
      It's never an exact science as weather will change the dates every year slightly, at the end we were very lucky that in every location we had almost the colours in their peak moment.
      Chano chose the last week of October for the locations he wanted to visit and film the most, you can check the exact dates of every location on our extended vlogs of the trip to the Dolomites. Also checking Instagram stories from the locations while you´re already at the Dolomites and just before the trip can be useful to do last moment changes in the itinerary too.
      Let us know if you have more questions. We wish you a wonderful trip in the Dolomites! :-)
      Best regards.

    hello guys! breath taking imagery!! how is the trasportation in this part of the Alps? I know in the swiss part there are trains and cable cars to anywhere but do you need a car to go to and around the Dolomites?

    • @ReigneOrShine
      @ReigneOrShine  Рік тому +1

      Thank you very much for watching our video!
      There are public buses that reach some of the most famous areas and towns, but the cable cars are open in high season only. Renting a car is definitely the most convenient way to move around, and it is necessary to reach certain places, even more if you want to see them during sunrise or sunset. By train you can mainly reach the big cities in the Italian Alps.
      Hope you have a wonderful time when you visit the Dolomites! No matter which option you choose they are one of the most incredible places in the world. :-)

    Hi, really great video thank you. I dislike drones because of their noise but seeing your images I might have too buy one!! What dates did you visit the Dolomites? The drone allow us to capture different views of some of the places we visit. Nowadays, companies are getting better at reducing the noise and you can keep the drone far and high, so you won't hear its annoying sound, haha. Specially in natural landscapes the drone is a great tool to create cinematic videos.

      Thank you so much for watching! That’s a difficult question 😅 We loved both places. I would say the architecture may be a little bit more beautiful in Bavaria, but the mountains are more spectacular in the Dolomites. We loved both areas! They are very similar I would say, in a good way of course 😊

      Hi! We are not sure, but my husband said he thinks you cannot reach these places by train. We don't remember seeing any train stations and we drove a lot for many days. There are public buses, but it's really an area that it's more suitable for a road trip if you want to make the best of your time. Thanks for watching our video!

      @@ReigneOrShine I have determined there are a few train stations: Bolzano, Brixen, Bruneck & Cortina D'Ampezzo. I'm sticking with my plan to train the trip but I might cave in and rent a car. Not a big fan of driving in Italy. I did a lot of it in 2017. Very stressful.
