As a famous tourist spot, expect prices in boracay to be a bit expensive. Taxes and rent are higher so it will reflect on the merchants' goods. The price of being famous. Try to haggle as much as you can. A lot of those sellers will be more than willing to give you a good deal.

There are many scammers in the Philippines especially on social media that's the #1 problem in the Philippines, and those scammers who talk to the victims face to face.. their targets are almost foreigners. • @constructioncost

Please take note that price may vary from place to place. usually, Boracay is a bit more expensive compared to others. The old man offering scuba diving services might be an agent only. He might receive 300 pesos (I don't know how much really per customer he gets but definitely they are all on a commission basis only). So the owner will receive at least 1500. But he has his crews, life savers, a boat to bring you to the site, a store to rent per month, tax for his business, etc. Do the math, how much is the profit for the owner. In my opinion, the price is just fair. The old man might have a big family to serve. If you get his offer, unintentionally you help him for sure he will be happy too. What you can't buy is the happiness you get from the experience and the feelings of that poor man( from the thumbnail it looks like he is the one who scammed you). You have two choices, either you grab his offer or go to the store directly for the right price. Scam word is not the right term especially if you did not pay anything that gets you annoyed. Maybe I'm shocked! or I'm surprised! that would be fine. Please remember Boracay is a tourist destination, it might give a bad impression to the other tourist as well. Please tell the viewers who scammed you. I am one of your followers and I like your blogs, but the title is just not fair. Just saying

They charge you more because of the view of the Ocean, if the Sisig is expensive or any food or restaurants with a view that's why they try to charge the tourist and fool them its like for example if you are paying more if you have a view of your hotel of course they charge you more, you have to be careful because this locals wants more money from the tourist their mind set are tourist are rich, it's just like anywhere or any third World Country the locals is just surviving they want to take advantage of this opportunity most of the locals are poor and probably only work temporary...
Japan is an affluent and rich and the Society is honest and discipline...
    Don't compare Manila to Boracay..
    Figure it out..!!

1-2-3 in the Philippines means not paying the transportation/commuting fee to the jeepney driver or bus conductor so it's like scamming them. Just came to my mind because the title is about scam and the channel's name has 1-2-3.

The price on Bora was really expensive, everything there was expensive. We once visited Bora because we have relatives there. I was really surprised on the prices of the items on that place. The plastic accessories that you can buy here in Manila that ranges arout 50-70 pesos, in Bora you can buy it for around 250 pesos. Even the pastfood chains like Jollibee and Mang inasal there has a higher price. And if you visit there on peek seasons the prices of the hotels are also increased than its usual price. Maybe because it is a tourist spot.

You visit Dumaguete City Mana, and if you have one Sunday? Go to Valencia there, plenty of gourmet food and less expensive. Try the fruit waffle for breakfast at Why not ? resto and its so masaarap😊. Snorkling and diving in Apo island and enjoy the mountain resorts and twin lakes, you will never regret it😊
Dumaguete City is in Negros Oriental near Bohol, Cebu and Siquijor😊

I just wanna say one thing... If someone is afforded to travel mean, nothing is expensive as long as they can afford it. Those people are also making living. There is always supply and demand. Before we travel, it is our responsibility to do a little bit of research. As long as things are within the expected range then it is ok... We can't make someone's life difficult for those who are surviving for their own living and for their family. I am just sharing my perspective. Either I spend it if I can afford it or I won't buy a thing if I don't afford it. That's all. The best is to make friends with a local and things will get easier. I always manage to make a friend locally before I travel overseas or sometimes online. That will make my traveling experience better, especially the food tour. I had a chance to try real local foods. Because locals know how to order the food and customised them the way they want it.

Fast food prices vary depending on location. Like Jollibee and Mang Inasal in Makati Ave. and in Pasig is a bit different. I think I didn't see she got scammed anywhere on this video. She was very street-smart all throughout! For the person who think about the title of the video, "Na-scam ako sa Boracay" this has to be changed. And never be repeated for future content. It's click baiting, and it's a very bad online behavior.

I'm a Filipino but seeing the price over 100pesos in Boracay, is a little bit much expensive maybe because it is a tourist spot? I prefer stay in a house of a friend there if I have or find cheaper apartment no need to buy food outside just buy ingredients and raw fish or meat then cook it myself while enjoying the view in Boracay.
