OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This dude is the truth!!!!! Can't stop watching. Just love that arpeggio walk-up at 1:55 that ends with E flat dim. Crazy!!!!
If there is one person I could sound like on the piano, it's Peter. Can always hear the melody when he plays, his lines are singable and there's always so much joy to his sound which is so easy to hear when you close your eyes...Thank you Peter Martin for sharing your years of work and blessed gift with us :)
Same min. This is totally how I wanna play lol
The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Beautiful thank you Sir Martin.
I just started learning jazz piano, started with Autumn Leaves, and feel very fortunate to find this channel! Thank you Peter for creating this quality of video for free.
All the best from Japan 🇯🇵
No words can describe the joy we get from watching this maestro play the piano. Brilliant rendition Peter!
Wow, such great playing. You are amazing, Peter.
Peter is Awesome! and you sir are also very good! hehehe I gotta start making some videos too :)
Really beautiful playing. Very tasty and emotional, not just showing off but putting things in exactly the right spots with restraint and care.
Please, don't ever stop making these videos.
Masterful. The entire history of jazz piano in that performance.
Hi peter! Just stopped by to show some love. Am originally from Ghana and have been listening to you since I started playing. You are one of my favorite players. Thanks for your great work
Bill E and Lenny T are smiling down upon thee!
Incredible
Beautiful 😍 as well as all of your channel 💓
Peter te has convertido en uno de mis pianistas favoritos, gracias por los videos, un abrazo

What a Master at the keyboard
You are truly one with the piano, BRAVO!

WOW !
Masterful piece and performance ! Like look video! All was perfect ! 😊
Excelente,gracias!!!!
you de man awesome! I hear sprinklings o Bill Evans influence
no?
Peter, You're an awesome pianist!
This was great; a video explaining concepts and practice techniques then a different performance video displaying the techniques. If you could do more of these that'd be great!
That's a bad cat. Rewind. Watch. Rewind. Watch...and learn.
Amazing 🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹😄😄😄
Bro i hope i can be like you one day :(
Yesterday I learned this song thanks to his first piano tutorial. I felt so proud for learning it. Next thing i know he uploaded a second video with a much smoother much more difficult performance and now i feel a fool.
Being a begginer jazz pianist sucks haha!
I know what you mean, you feel fairly accomplished in what you do generally with improvisation until you watch this, now I'm depressed!
No way will I ever get to this level but the more I study and listen,I'm hoping some of it might mentally sink in and I will get a bit further along this road.
comparing yourself to the one teaching you that has over 40 years of piano playing experience is kinda silly...
Being a beginner jazz pianist is great, having false expectations and comparing yourself to a piano master is the bit that sucks!
That's what up!! Great performance!! Been following your work since I heard you on the early Joshua Redman records.
Peter looks a little displeased with himself at 2:25... I wonder if I'm reading that right.
Love the feel, love the ideas...
nice performance! I've been watching your tutorial videos several times and I think they're really helpful. wanna see you playing 'All the things you are' also.
Really good
Nice!
Thank you
thank you
Ohhhhh wow 👏 master shefu
Ya gotta do a book Pete! the "Art of Solo Jazz Piano." 70+ years of pianists relying on the bass and the drummer, and all I have is me and this lousy computer that can't swing for _____!
1:55 damn
Dayum!
Really beautiful playing! If I'm honest I lost the downbeat after the second measure of the solo section but it came around! Haha
Good
1:54
Peter, great job! I just had one particular question. If you were accompanied by a bassist, would play this any differently or would you keep mostly what you did the same?
Just wondering. I loved everything you were doing with the bass and would like to play this way a lot, but want to be surely I wouldn’t be clashing with my bassist
Not sure if you’ve seen this within the 2 years that has passed since you commented, but if not, here you go

Thanks a lot maestro!
What scale is it at the ending?
That's just a Maj7 Arppegio up the entire register of the keyboard
Thanks,so the bB and #C note is just #9 #11.That's cool ending like this!!
I think it's more like a C7#11,9, with the b9 at the beginning. It's very common tu use a IV7#11 in the endings of minor tunes. But with that b9 at the beginning it sounds very nice!
jazz pianists who play like this suggestions?
Peter Martin

Lots of Bill Evans here. But that's difficult to play that tune without having his music in mind.
Not my tempo
Pas d explications pas.d.analyses! Nul!
