Welcome my friend
Who won the cold war? Moreover, who told these people that the cold war ended?
If you are looking strictly at nato vs the soviet union than yea there was definitely a winner, but if you are looking at america and allies vs russia and allies, then its no where close to being over
Lmfao sure

I was born in the late 60's in Canada, and it was in the late 70's and early 80's that I really became worried about nuclear war...that movie "The Day After" sure shook us up too!
Now they are tornado warning sirens. I was born in 1961, they were called civil defense sirens and in school we climbed under our desk with our hands behind our head. Not only would that have been useless, I can’t even sit on my knees now let alone curl up. It scares me now, at the time it was just normal.
I am born in USSR in the late 70s, and I worried about nuclear war too! This a mad actor (haha)Reagan and his star wars time. And in addition the stupid bit** Thatcher! They were the main fascists and fiends of the 20th century!
Instant follow. Thanks bruv
Since 1945, there have been no hot wars between any two g20 members. Globally during WW2, an average of over 39,000 people died every day as a direct result of the war. That about the same as all of the people killed in Gaza in 6 months.
Can't fall asleep listening to that voice
It wasn't really won in the way that is commonly known. One sided defeated themselves like what happened to the British Empire and what is happening to the American Empire.
I came here to fall asleep 🙏😊
The cold war was basically a massive arms race with us and ussr playing chicken for 45 years. I was at primary school in the 80s and ehen we had drills hiding under our desks if there was a nuclear attack it felt pretty real to me
Love the title ❤
2:03.20...inspiration for the 1960s movie Ice Station Zebra....
We need to understand how America helped rebuild Japan and Korea without relying on the elites, as well as their thought process and feelings of guilt associated with this.
Russia was not the “Soviet Union”, it was a client state, it is currently at war with another former client state. NATO is still NATO, just a bit larger then it was during the Soviet era. A complete and total collapse of your government is a pretty big indicator that you lost.
Goodnight
why don't narrators have this accent anymore? what happened between the 80s and 2020s for american narrators to lose the old school narrator voice?
Fun fact - there's actually a name for that accent. It's known as the Mid-Atlantic accent. :-)
Time to sleep guys
Or was it?
don't have to watch this video to know the cold war isnt over.
Let’s be honest, Russia is definitely not no super power lol.
gives me nightmares
uhh, hello when the Soviet Union fail the CIA had no F ing idea and I remember them admitting to it on TV
Finally I'm home with my people

The IMC rules the world.
I can do it in three words… collectivization doesn’t work.
Funny. I was just about to go to sleep.
Hopefully we don't start Cold War v2.0 in the coming months :(
I think Mr. Putin did that a decade ago.

After it won, hei, no more enemy, lets start getting rich. 😅
Remove the music and you got something to sleep too
3:23 Plan in Sept 1945 was to invade Japan? Nukes were dropped in the month before😆
The plan to invade japan was in the last months before the bomb, Truman had agreed with Stalin, that Russian troops would start being deployed into Japanese-conquered land during the war around the mid August, this also played an important role in the dropping of the bomb. Truman didn't want Stalin sitting at the negotiation table with the Japanese.
Before the bombs were dropped, Operation Downfall was planned, beginning with an invasion of the south islands in November 1945 (operation Olympic), followed by the north in 1946 (operation Coronet).
Pin point the root cause.
Is the narrator Anthony Hopkins?
nyet😂
And here we are watching Tic Toks figuring out our genders 🤦🙌🤣
Soldiers of the Soviet Union and the United States did not do battle directly during the Cold War. But the two superpowers continually antagonized each other through political maneuvering, military coalitions, espionage, propaganda, arms buildups, economic aid, and proxy wars between other nations.
Just because people stop fighting does not mean that someone won, not does it mean that the war is over. I feel sorry for you if you are that petty and small minded.
Awwww shut up damn!!!! Yall are weird
No one remembers the struggles of the loser
The cold war was a battle over whose system would prevail. The USSR collapsed. And split into a dozen countries. It doesn't get more failed than thst.
@@jamesmcjamesington631 What does "thst" mean?
Ussr collapsed, western countries became stronger. Germany reunited, nuclear testing stopped. Countries that were under soviet have aligned more toward western economies. NATO prevailed and Warsaw Pact failed. It's pretty obvious the West won. I don't know what you're smoking, but it can't be good
Where’s all the transgenders?
The Cold War or "How America sided with Soviet Communists and fought the wrong enemy in the second great war"
I wouldn’t call Stalin a communist so much as he was a dictator.
The wrong enemy meaning Germany, the Holocaust perpetrators?
You don't need 3+ hrs to explain it. Here it is in one sentence: The American tax payer, in need of global military superiority, outspent the Russians and anyone else who posed a threat to them. The end.
womp womp
There are others like me 🥲
Jokes on you because the Cold War never ended...
And we're losing.
You must be Russian
