I got this tent 2 years ago, kodiak canvas website. With the enclosure it ran me 1350. Great tent, can’t stress this enough!!! Installed a stove jack on main room ceiling near enclosure entrance window and placed a Colorado cylinder stove, timberline model that works excellent. When I don’t want to use that I use a mr buddy propane heater that works excellent as well. The tent has zippered entrances for your propane gas hose to enter in the main room, which is a wonderful feature not mentioned in this video. Only problem with this tent is that under several hours of rainfall water will accumulate on the top edges of the two side rooms, if you don’t bump the puddles off every 12 hours or so the puddles will begin to drip in the inside. I looked on the outside top edges to try and get a tie out to help with this but there is no way to do that. Like I said I got this 2 years ago and maybe kodiak canvas has fixed the only problem I’ve ever had with this beast. Even with that 1 problem this tent is worth the money

I received mine last week and set up for the weekend, only have 1 room area accumulate water(no Leak) as I did bump off once I noticed it.
I can live comfortably in this for sure.

While I love our deluxe 10x14...vertical walls, additional height, & awning frame are a major upgrade! The awning on the 10x14 was basically unusable without a painters pole pushing up the center.
I wanted the cabin tent originally but was out of stock so we used the 10x14 for about 8 years & loved every minute!

In my opinion, for security reasons, the roll-up window covers should be on the inside. Zipping on the outside, anyone can walk up and unzip and check out anything they might want to steal. I know a tent isnt particualrly secure, anyway, but every little bit helps. Plus, the privacy issue.

Kodiak tents are awesome. I wanted to get one of the cabin tents but everywhere I looked they were unavailable. I managed to get the 10×14 flex bow at my local Bass Pro here in southern MO. My only problem is the set up. It takes some stregnth lol. Very very good quality tents that are worth the money

Had one of those hard doors you know where you put the poles through it just makes it so much easier to open and close that would be a really nice feature
I am purchasing this tent. I have the 12x9 and it is fantastic. You guys need to get the correct size ground tarp and floor liners made for this tent though. They help out tremendously with the 12x9.

These tent windows zip from the inside. Only the additional enclosure windows under the awning zip from the outside. You still have total privacy control inside the tent.
Maybe i didnt see it but on the side where the webbed windows are, is there a window on the inside as well(not the front side of the tent i see those zip up from the inside. Im talking about the back side)

It can be used as a regular house that you can put in your backyard
It's not designed for that, but plenty of customers use it for a temporarily shelter. A surprisingly large number of customers have mentioned that they stay in it while their house is under construction, being treated for mold, treated for bugs, and some people use them for extended use on their property. Keep in mind that is not recommended and does void the warranty to use it for extended periods of time, but if you take care of them and make sure they stay dry and clean and free of constant moisture they can last a year.

A lot of people put down a tarp there, but there's a lot of reasons there is no floor. Putting it up is optional. It's designed to be an optional awning area where you can cook, keep gear, keep pets, but it wasn't ever designed to be another sleeping area.

Would a wheelchair be able to navigate over the thresholds? I am a paraplegic trying to find a way to be able to camp again and the accessible RVs are just too expensive so I am exploring tent options. I need a large tent like this to accommodate for all the necessary equipment I would need to travel with. Also I was wondering if this has E ports, and do the doors zip across the bottom?
We have many customers in wheelchairs who make it through the thresholds just fine, but as you know there are many types of wheelchairs with varying weights, etc. I've never heard of one damaging the door opening, but that's not to say it hasn't happened. The door is forgiving. If you were to roll over it the only way to really damage it is if the wheelchair is so heavy that it damages a zipper tooth (again, I've yet to hear of that happening). This doesn't have e-ports, but you can easily run a cord through the corner of the door as they do zip down and across. Great question. Hope it helps.
Where do I get more information on price and just the tent itself.
I would need a stove jack on it. I would not have a way to put that on myself, can it be an option to have it on before I purchase? Its a need to know. What about a fly to go over it? Do you make it for this kind of tent?
This doesn't incude a stove jack and for liability purposes we can't recommend it, although people do at stove jacks to most of our tents. It isn't a service we offer on this. We do have a stove jack on the 12x12 and there's a 10x10.

grassy areas or moist soil should be avoided.
Mildew: Is more prone to grow in humid climates in dark or shady areas. Prevention:
Opening the tent up daily and letting it air out. When possible, place the tent in an area
where it can receive a couple hours of direct sunlight a day.
UV Damage. While your Kodiak Canvas tent is much less susceptible to UV deterioration
than many synthetic fabrics, over time it will eventually degrade the canvas. Life expectancy

I see on a comparison video you did between the 6133 cabin tent with awning and enclosure walls, and the flexbow models, that the awning would need to come down on the 6133 in strong winds.
What would be the scenario with the awning section (and the enclosing walls) in strong winds on this 26x8 model?
I'm trying to decide between the stove tent plus awning etc, and this model.
I need to allow for the tent staying up permanently and being lived in permanently should my circumstances change. This is my back up plan.

Miranda, the grand cabin hasn't been tested (at least not by us) past 30 mph. There is more surface area so there is a chance it doesn't hold up as well as the smaller 12x9 or the 12x12. The awning is ideal to take down (or hike up rather) to reduce the strain on the whole tent. We do get people that buy these to live in them while their home is under construction. Keep in mind it isn't designed to be lived in permanently. They are specifically designed for 3 weeks of living per year and have a lifetime warranty. If it is lived in as a permanent structure the warranty is void. That doesn't mean it won't last you many months or even a year though. You would just need to keep it as dry as possible, away from shrubbery and moisture on the bottom outside of the walls to reduce the chance of rot. It's important to keep it in a place that gets some sunlight per day to help keep it dry. I hope that helps.

Why do those windows only open/close from outside. That's a privacy concern and also quite inconvenient to have to go outside to open and close them
The windows closed from the outside, because the two sides it down and the bottom Velcro's. If they were flipped around and you are doing that from the inside it would allow rain to get inside through the Velcro portion of the bottom of the screen. The zippers are like luggage zippers and they are not silent when you are opening them up-I've never heard of any issues with privacy as far as somebody from the outside opening them up without permission.

The complete tent including the awning is canvas-the awning being the roof portion of that extended area. The wall enclosure that is optional attaches to the awning and encloses that area. That wall enclosure is polydenier material that is very heavy-duty and lightweight. For liability purposes we do not provide recommendations on adding a stove jack. There is a large tent made by Kodiak model 6170 that does include a stove jack and also has a canvas wall enclosure on its detachable awning. I've got a junk camper I'm thinking about demolishing it and then put a wood platform on the frame and then put this tent on that platform. Then I can keep all my junk in it and tow it to the campsite and camp. It would also need a wood stove.

I Actually have this tent and it doesn’t come with the stove jack , But I did install one myself on this tent , and you can do it yourself just as long as you know what type of stove jack you want to install and make you install it in a safe and good area in the tent that way it won’t burn the tent , I’ve took this tent out to Colorado, Wyoming, and Alaska camped up there for 2 and a half weeks and it did great in all weather conditions.

Grace Kendall four inches shouldn’t be a big deal. The awning pivots a bit where it connects to the tent so it is pretty forgiving. The canvas would be the potential issue but not at four inches.

Where are the stove openings in the roof? Should be one in the porch roof too because that's where many folks do their cooking so they don't have worry about staining the floor.
