Yeah, I have misophonia quite bad (was surprised to find out it was biological a couple of years back) but if you have it as bad as I do, something that helps is to have a white noise track of a consistant heavy rain playing with some headphones (at a reasonable volume, of course; So you can hear others). I find It acts as a mental bed of nails so you don't really get irritated. I made a comment about it already but comments are quickly buried.

With the thing at the swimming pool, I have a similar story. I was in dubai on an overnight stop going to Australia (I was about 3 with blonde hair and blue eyes) and it was just my mum and I. We were checking into the hotel, and my mum suddenly turned around and I wasn’t there. She looked around the room and saw in the corner, this family from Dubai were taking family photos with me in it. Eat a coffee bean while holding your nose before you're even able to smell it. That is bitter. Now do the same thing with lemon juice. that is sour. Learn the difference.

foods can have more than one taste you know. being sour doesn't mean that it can't also be bitter. I do fine that those juice concentrates can sometimes have bitter notes, though the fruit themselves are often more of a sweet-sour than a bitter-sour.
