- Today I will show you how I cleaned the filters and sprayers in this Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher. To preface all the comments to come, this is not my dishwasher and it had not been cleaned out in a long time. If your dishwasher is not spraying or cleaning effectively, you will want to make sure to clean out the sprayers and filters in your dishwasher. Thank you so much for this! I took apart the filter things, cleaned them, then couldn't get them back together. I found your video and you saved me from having to call someone and embarrass myself.
I am so glad it helped! Those filters can get so dirty so quick! Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and to comment. Have a good day and good luck with future projects!
Same!!!! I thought I broke mine🤣
This was greatly helpful. Thank you so much and God bless!!
Thank you, today I learned my dishwasher has filters. I have the exact same unit, I was only using dishwasher cleaners to keep it maintenanced, but now I have yet another step to do! Also, I would recommend buying the cascade dishwasher cleaner for your unit, it will bring the shine back and get all that white residue off the walls.
Thanks for the tip and for the nice comment!
Thank you for this. While this didn’t show us our exact model, it was helpful to see how the middle sprayer connected. Ours fell off and we had no idea 🤷🏽♀️ how to connect it. Now I got it connected from underneath the top rack. Thanks again. 🙏🏾😊
Happy we were able to help and that you got it back on! Thanks for the nice comment! Good luck with future projects!!
Thank you so much for posting this step by step! It was exactly what I needed. I really appreciate it!
Happy to help! Thanks for taking the time to write a nice comment! Good luck with future projects!
Perfect explanation, so much thanks from me!! Dishes are sparkling again! Very easy fix. :)
Thank you so much! Thanks for writing us a nice comment. Good luck with future projects. Glad you were able to get it clean :)
Thank you for this video. I started smelling something in the dishwasher and did not see anything in the bottom. With your video I pulled off the bottom pieces and found the grossest gunk below. Our pretty old Frigidaire DW has not more odor after cleaning all that.
That is great news! I am so glad you were able to find the filter. Good luck with future projects, and hopefully no more smell!
Thank you…my husband kept stalling..and doing other necessary things..this was so ez..I lightened his load
love it!
Definitely very helpful! Now it works just like new.
Glad it helped!
Thank you! I’ve finely took mine apart! I was afraid to break anything!
Great! I hope it went ok! Thanks for the nice comment!
Hello dear. Im loving your videos. Do you take request? Id like to watch you using plunger to unclog sink. You said once you was going to show using severly sink plunger. Are you still going to do this vlog?
Thanks for your videos. You are best
@UnMeRCiFuL. It depends on what the request is. We do have a video on using a plunger on a tub and the same concept applies. Thanks so much for your comment and question
@@BigAl-1 i saw the plunging video. But you didnt show all plunger steps. You edited video showing 10 seconds of action. Id like to watch the full process using plunger till clog finish. If you dont mind
Next to my main filter on the bottom of the dishwasher which you took apart and cleaned - thanks for showing us that - on the lower left hand corner on the bottom of the inside of the washer is a small ..filter? It has holes on the top of it. What is that and how do you clean it?
Pete, Thanks so much for your comment. I wish I had acces to the same model. It probably is a filter. Look for someway to remove that cover and then clean off the filter. Please give us an update. Best of luck with your next DIY project. Thanks again and hopefully you subscribe to Big Al Repairs.
Very helpful!
Thanks for the comment!
The plastic filter in the center of stainless mesh comes out with an easy push... makes it so much easier to clean... also, instead of using sponge, use like a toothbrush or any brush with semi-stiff bristles, that will ensure you get the gunk out of all the crevices...
Thanks for the tips
Thank you!

Thanks. Too bad the users manual doesn’t show you how to do this.
Sue. It is really too bad that that is not included in the manual. Thanks so much for your comment. Best of luck with your next DIY project. Thanks again and hopefully you subscribe to Big Al Repairs.
Good job
My filters never get that dirty. You have to clean your dishes some before you put them in the dishwasher. I know it
seems redundant to do this but if you want them clean and not get your filters dirty or so filthy and recontaminate
your dishes and utensils, it's a must.
Just an honest question, why do you use a dishwasher then? I have heard you should not wash dishes before using the dishwasher as it wastes water and you're not using the dishwasher as its intended. Let me know your opinion. To clean or not to clean before the dishwasher is the debate for all I guess.
@@BigAlRepairs I'm not saying wash them as spot clean, but one of my first jobs was as a dishwasher. The first thing
you did was spray off the heavy gunk before you loaded the dishwasher. Kind of like spot cleaning a carpet before
you shampoo it, or spraying the collar of a shirt prepping it hits the washer. Hey, to each his own I guess.
Can someone please do a vid on Frigidaire Mdl # FGHD2455LFOA Because there is a third set of fine filters which have screws and there is a rear plastic tube which prevents the filter from coming out. I dont want to break anything by forcing it out.
Rovagne. I wish I had access to that model of dishwasher. Thanks so much for your comment. Best of luck with your DIY project. Thanks again and hopefully you subscribe to Big Al Repairs.
