Anker makes great reliable products. I've traveled, sailed, backpacked (multidays) with their > 20000mAh bricks for almost ten years. (Really excited you're getting a Cybertruck so soon.)
I wasn’t going to complete my purchase after the delivery event due to the price increases…but then a week after the delivery event I got my foundation series invite and pulled the trigger. I ordered the AWD at $99,990 and am still waiting for my VIN. Can’t wait.
I had the same ambivalence about pulling the trigger. My wife finally said just bloody do it and stop dithering. So I did and ordered the AWD , same as you. Saw it in person for the first time today. It is breathtaking. Pictures and videos do not do it justice.
Backup generators and UPSs cost lots of money too so being able to use CT as a home generator is a big value add for those of us with weather induced power outages.
Oh yea, I have two powerwalls already and this is like 9 of those, major deal if it works. 11.5kw delivery should be enough to power my whole home from cold start. Also, If you could utilize for VPP or even running your home during peak hours you could save a bunch. Tesla keeps improving the software and integration, they recently added 'drive on sunshine' where the Gateway charges the car with only excess Solar. I think people should desire to have the complete Tesla eco-system because the integration is so good, you would be missing out otherwise. They will probably be the first to provide VPP on mass scale as well.
I don't want to get an EV without this. It sucked living in Michigan last year with over 5 days of power outages (3.5 back in February from the freezing rain storm, some people were without power for over a week). I have a couple backup batteries but seeing my car sit there with an 80kWh battery sucked...
Congratulations Chris, so glad you got your order in. I'm waiting on the Roadster but as that seems to not be coming soon I might put an order in for the Cyber Truck. I want to see what it's like when it's not washed all the time and what is like when you have to clean it. I figure you are prefect for this. I wash the Tesla's we have had and CT is a bit big. I look forward to the videos you put out with the CT
I just took delivery of a model 3 here in Michigan in December and was able to use Tesla financing. It was through Wells Fargo Auto and I was approved for the advertised interest rate. My local credit union wasn't even close to Tesla's interest rate. Congrats on your Cybertruck, enjoy!!!!
I already have Gateway and wall connector, so I called and they said that Tesla will provide an alternative for those that have that. Such as free supercharging.
There is a power cable under the frunk to power a snowplow or winch. It requires removing the frunk liner to access, but was shown to be easy to do with one person on a video I saw.
I'm in Maine and I got my configure email last night... Emotionally in the same state as you Kinda WAY more money than i really intended to spend But it can't be helped
Only for the next few months till they are dime a dozen. Lightnings were $10k over sticker 6 months ago, 2 weeks ago I bought one for $7600 off sticker plus the $7500 fed.
Congratulations for the purchase! It is really expensive but if you can afford it, it's the coolest vehicle on the road right now. I paid 60K for my house so no way I would get 100K vehicle, but maybe a (used) Model 3 may come true soon. In Italy average salary is 2K USD, on the other hand we have free education and healthcare.
If cost is an issue, just Turo it for $1000 a day for a few weeks. Several owners have done this and were amazed at how much people were willing to spend renting these.
I hope this will help you make money on your channel. Otherwise, it is completely crazy to buy a 100k car on monthly payments. Such expensive purchases are financially nuts if one really doesn’t have the money.
My Reservation is around 90,000th in line and I looked at yours and you were way ahead of me. I got my e-mail yesterday, choked a little and placed the order. It seems to me that they just need one button ... buy now. It says begin designing, but there really are no choices except the Range Extender. HMMMM. I am in Virginia, and the delivery date range moved overnight from Jan-Mar to now Feb - April. That is "Elon time" so I am thinking July. All the best! Keep the videos rolling!
Ording the Cyberbeast adds the lightbar and $4,000 toward professional Home Backup install. I think the lightbar will be available at some point as an extra addon for the AWD.
Wooohooo!! I have been jumping every time my Tesla app notifies me about anything! My Foundation Series is scheduled for delivery in Maryland between Jan-Mar but from the drone flight videos, gonna be a slight wait 🤪
Wanted to comment on the 400W power near the frunk. I saw the note flash about the plow... what about a winch? For me, that would be a useful addition to the Cybertruck - I hope they offer one soon.
I personally would have waited. But as an influencer I understand why you would pull the trigger. The 4680's are just not there yet and the CT sold today is likely to be different from the one sold in a year or 2 just based upon 4680 capacity and charging alone.

Chris, i can’t believe the Cybertruck doesn’t have a rear camera washer. In WI I would not be able to see what is behind me. All winter / early spring. With all the sand and liquid brine solution sprayed on the roads, will completely make the rear vision impossible. Do you have this problem with your model Y🤔. Please let me know
This is awesome Chris.. I want to thank you for the cool explanation as I cannot wait to be in the same position.. Gotta be really exciting. I'm in NJ and not sure if there is anyone in NJ that has anything designed yet. Not bad thou $1600 a month lol..
I just received the cybertruck "Start Designing" link two weeks ago and I put the reservation order in like a year after the CT reveal. After going through the designing process I stopped before clicking the order button, but it's still a lot of money extra to get it earlier and I'm on the fence about going through it for the Foundation series. I did put the reservation in a while back for the tri-motor and I knew the prices would be higher when it came to ordering. If I did order the CT now It shows a delivery of Aug - Sep 2024 for the awd and Oct - Dec 2024 for the cyberbeast, but I do live in Texas.
If Tesla could allow for power input via the nema 14-50 while driving. You could use a big fat solix set to charge the truck while driving. (similar to regen). I wonder how far you could get. If I did get a CT, it would be with all season, rather than all purpose wheels-I won’t be off-roading, unless you count my long, badly maintained driveway. Come to think of it, it is clear my model Y thinks it’s off-road and fusses at me nearly every time I drive off my parking pad onto the gravel…
Confused about the portable battery there. It’s giving you 6kw which your car shows would take about 2 hours to get you from 80% to 90%. But on the portable units display it says you only have 0.3 hours remaining. That’s not gonna get you very much…maybe 3% on your model Y. Does that mean the portable unit was pretty depleted already when you started charging?
Maybe you can make it a business expense? Yes, even without the 20k it’s too rich for my blood, maybe I’ll get a preowned in a few years, but in the meanwhile I’ll get my kicks vicariously, through watching your channel and others.
Sweet. The rear pax falcon door of our 2022 X has totally failed for the third time. If their service centers don’t start treating me like a person, not sure this Tesla lover will want another one.
I have to wait and not get foundation because i qualify for the CO and Federal tax credits. For me Foundation Series is actually 32,500 more than non foundation.
You likely have a Tesla Roadsters coming your way Tesla . so they should allow you to flip to a delivery at no charge for a couple of Trimotor Cyber trucks! What do you say Tesla!!
Hi Chris, There is something that I believe you are unaware of. Tesla is publishing in the cybertruck itself what are the requirement for cleaning the car externally. Apparently the metal of the car color is sensitive to many things among them is road salt, which is highly common for a Michigan cars. If you’re planning to drive the car in Michigan like the other cars you have, you either have to clean it twice a day at least or wrap it very well! In addition, Tesla requested from the IRS to approve the most senior version of the cybertruck for a Tax credit. It means the price will drop below $80,000 before the end of 2024. I believe you are paying significant premium which is around $47,500! This is not a small money. If I were you, I would cancel it and wait.
I actually made a video about this months ago and talked about how a wrap may make it even worse ua-cam.com/video/HROIVb5v08w/v-deo.html The posts from the owners manual are the same for all Tesla vehicles, people are going crazy over nothing. All cars have steel that can rust, and Cybertruck will be more resistant to it than most. A wash at the end of the winter season to wash all the salt away should be more than enough to have this truck's exterior lasting 15 years if not more.

But on the portable units display it says you only have 0.3 hours remaining. That’s not gonna get you very much…maybe 3% on your model Y. Does that mean the portable unit was pretty depleted already when you started charging?
And that stupid thing costs $5k 😂
That is dirty Tesla move to take your non refundable 1000 with no delivery date.
Congrats!
Maybe you can make it a business expense? Yes, even without the 20k it’s too rich for my blood, maybe I’ll get a preowned in a few years, but in the meanwhile I’ll get my kicks vicariously, through watching your channel and others.
Wow, that's almost my house payment.
Sweet. The rear pax falcon door of our 2022 X has totally failed for the third time. If their service centers don’t start treating me like a person, not sure this Tesla lover will want another one.
17:56 these laws are why the Big 3 automakers deserve to fade away. Absolutely absurd you’d need to go out of state.
It is hard to understand how anyone that could afford the FS AWD/Beast would qualify for the IRA rebate. Maybe single income household.
I have to wait and not get foundation because i qualify for the CO and Federal tax credits. For me Foundation Series is actually 32,500 more than non foundation.
For the channel!
Pretty much lol. I will need to make a lot of videos 😁
You likely have a Tesla Roadsters coming your way Tesla . so they should allow you to flip to a delivery at no charge for a couple of Trimotor Cyber trucks! What do you say Tesla!!
I don't. I didn't buy my Tesla until after the roadster wasn't part of the referral program.
Hi Chris,
There is something that I believe you are unaware of.
I actually made a video about this months ago and talked about how a wrap may make it even worse ua-cam.com/video/HROIVb5v08w/v-deo.html
The posts from the owners manual are the same for all Tesla vehicles, people are going crazy over nothing. All cars have steel that can rust, and Cybertruck will be more resistant to it than most. A wash at the end of the winter season to wash all the salt away should be more than enough to have this truck's exterior lasting 15 years if not more.
Cant wait for your CT content!
My reso does not show up on my dashboard…will it when my number is closer?
After you configure it shows up
See. You can't fool us. We all knew you were gonna order a Cybertruck...lol.
