Just love your content, the research you do, commitment to real science, your production style, and your personal passion for the subjects you discuss. UA-cam recommended another channel's video on neanderthals to me and they had millions of subscribers. I started watching the video and the host immediately pronounced the word "neanderthal" wrong and as I continued to watch I realized it was a video based on conspiracy theories, at one point they claimed neanderthals had cat eyes. I left the video at that point. You my friend are a breath of fresh air, a patron of logic and reason, and I'm grateful that guys like you are out here releasing quality content instead of hyped fantasy.
Great vid, I would definitely love to see more in this vein in the future! It's wild to think about some of the big animals early people lived alongside. That giant elk is incredible. In my opinion extinct megafauna are more interesting than even the most bizarre fantasy creatures.
Thank you for showing these beautiful drawings/paintings with the Artist's name in the lower right corner!!! Great to credit their work as it brings your stories you life, for me!!!
I recently learned about the Steppe Brown Bear. While not anatomically or even genetically too different from the modern Eurasian Brown Bear, Steppe Brown Bear appears to been very predatory. I can imagine a few humans, sapien or Neanderthal had terrifying encounters with 1500 pound predatory Steppe Brown Bear.
I'm glad you mentioned the Steppe Brown Bear. They were huge, possibly bigger than the Cave Bear. Apparently they were just a hyper-carnivore version of brown bear, not a separate species. That being said, its hard to get much more info about them.
I think fossil suggests that they hunted large game, so they likely developed strategies for avoiding or confronting predators like the Steppe Brown Bear
Thanks for your continued great content. There's so many poor quality robo-AI vids these days that I've found a new appreciation for genuine high quality creators like yourself. Keep up the good work ❤

While you were describing a party of neanderthals entering a cave to hunt a hibernating cave bear and just how frightening it would have been, I was thinking... Imagine how terrifying it would be to be awakened from your deep sleep by a troop of those damn monkeys with pointy sticks.
Absolutely amazing video, loved this style of video. I think Homo Erectus or maybe even certain cultures may be cool, like the Clovis or smth. If you do the former you could maybe even mention the potential hybridization of Woolly and Columbian Mammoths, how may they hunt that beast?

Unfortunately these conditions are more caused by brain damage in utero than genetics. Smoking while pregnant is one of the causes of ADHD. I strongly doubt I would have survived in the paleolithic due to my condition.
