The Reason is that bug is from kali itself
proposed Solutions : 1 - if you run it in Virtualbox You can Save your Machine instead of shutdown it
2 - upgrade to the new version they fix GNOME in the new update

I mean :tty2 console in 1:17
because f1 didn't work with me
When i search for the problem i found that some pc have different key to open tty console
My pc dell need f3 to access to tty not f1

I have the last version of kali But i use old version of virtualbox...
Did sudo startx and it just went to a blackscreen with a flashing underscore (forgot the name of it) and my mouse is working. Any help?

If your on a Mac hold FN plus the other buttons.

Its still not working for me I read your comment but that was nearly a year ago now and I downloaded mine the day before yesterday so not an older version. I get to the terminal part but and eenter my passwrd enter the command enter my password again and get the black screen again

I learned in another video if you do full screen before you log in it will cause this and itt fixed it. But, once I full screen even after our does the same. As of now my only resolution is manually expanding the screen To a bigger size. Unfortunately, once it gets too large it does the same thing again.

And basically the png is suppose to be what is showing in the camera but instead of that it is just black. And I was wondering if you knew how to fix this.
