It giving black screen after starting linux I not getting option to login I am using Linux 2024.2 latest

When i do ctrl+alt+f1 it logs out on my ubuntu cuz im running kali on vm 💀

this is an old methode thats why try to ask chatgpt for help

nothing happened after control + alt + F1

@@mistertech2536 I did & f3 & still nothing. I learned in another video if you do full screen before you log in it will cause this and itt fixed it. But, once I full screen even after our does the same. As of now my only resolution is manually expanding the screen To a bigger size. Unfortunately, once it gets too large it does the same thing again.

Its still not working for me I read your comment but that was nearly a year ago now and I downloaded mine the day before yesterday so not an older version. I get to the terminal part but and eenter my passwrd enter the command enter my password again and get the black screen again

i have a different issue but a least i can login everytime with ctrl alt f1. the last time i was logged in i typed these: sudo usermod -l new_username old_username sudo mv /home/old_username /home/new_username
just says xinit: server error
