If any of you are using Virtual box, it may be because you are putting it in full screen mode before signing in. If you sign in on windowed and then go into full screen after it's loaded up, that might fix your problem!

this actually works , thanks ! but even after logging in and then doing fullscreen, it blacks out. But I found out if I expand it manually to a bigger screen it stays on until it gets too big. Do you know how to fix this or whats causing this ?

For those who haven't been able to solve the problem, try this:
"Can you start Kali to a terminal screen with Ctrl-Alt-F1? If so, try running the following commands:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get autoclean && sudo apt-get clean && sudo apt-get autoremove
After that, restart your system and test it again."

now that the blakc screen issue is fixed i have another, which is the "version"that appears looks different idk if it has anything to do with gnome
i use vbox and i have to reboot again to have the interface i want (directly putting password and no need to enter my id and after uh,, sorry idk how to explain. like i see some softwares appearing on the top instead of the bottom like in ubuntu)
