UA-cam doesn't scale it down. He renders at 4k, but records in 8k. He doesn't upload 8k, since there is barely any point. He uploaded one video in 8k, and you can see it for yourself that it's really demanding and most hardware doesn't even run it.

I've been to the US but no one there used the metric system.
TheMeisterManuel We do use both but it depends on what though. Normally smaller easier to remember measurements are done in imperial. But when it comes to professional work down to the wire or large distances or whatever, we use metric. So honestly we just convert in our heads between the two lol.

I'm a potato it's a lot but I have to say I kind of had the same response when he mentioned the price. it's really not as expensive as you would expect. considering the sheer quality it exhumes. plus it's almost a complete home theater in one.
I'm a potato some people will pay $50k for fancy headphones, $8k for a TV that is a significantly better experience than say a regular 4k OLED TV which costs at least $2k (that's at the very cheapest), and Sony has one that's $5k. I'd say it's certainly not that unreasonable considering the unique experience offered, and lack of competition. I would expect prices to come down quite significantly in a relatively short period of time. It was only a couple years ago that regular OLED tvs were over $8k, so it's really not all that ridiculous.
Just wait for Black Friday or cyber Monday 5 years from now, it'll be like $499
Thanks for the showcasing this TV. It's definitely a technology marvel and I'm looking forward to more affordable models down the road with similar technologies and setup by LG.
I'm also glad that LG is doubling down on webOS which is still one of the best TV OS in the market.

especially after you just bought a brand new tv last week! :-(
sunny money actually it pales in comparison to the wew Samsung QLED TV line up. OLED don't maintain saturations well at high brightness and also have blotchy near black gradation. It also has lower peak brightness for material mastered in HDR10 and Dolby Vision. QLED has a much more pleasing picture. Also it has burn in risks that require special care. I would never trade all of those advantages for a marginally better black. You really need to look at both to realize that the latest OLED can't yet compete with QLED for overall image quality.

Hugo St-Michel cuz it's easier on ur neck to look up than to look down....it's comfortable when standing as they are probably gonna stand alot in the studio and if they sit down it's comfortable still to tilt ur head up, but the point is for it to be wallpaper or a piece of art on the wall...it would look weird for a art or poster to be displayed low
Nah, it should be at eye level. The only problem is the cable has to extend 20in so then the soundbar has to be really low. But it looks so nice when watching from a sofa.

Kinda wish he did a comparison (this is almost just an ad) but you can find that info elsewhere. Apparently they actually did bother to cut down on the input lag from lasf year and improved the other stuff as well.
