All of your shared 1/72 builds are incredibly detailed, very enjoyable and inspiring to watch the entire process, from sprue cutting to the last bit of shader.
All I can say is...... "Oh my giddy Aunt are you insane or what ?" That was the hardest model I have ever seen completed and you made it look so damned easy - like you were making a Pot Noodle instead of making a ridiculously hard and demanding scale model. I bow down before you oh God of all things miniature !
Thanks for this great video and without being offensive and giving credit to you today for your build; there is also credit due to the creators and original designers of such wonderful models...!! Being from Eduard, Tamiya, Dragon, Trumpeteer, Revell..!! without them and their involvement; we wouldn't, as consumers, have the satisfaction of collecting and building such marvelous and intricate and beautiful scaled models of such historic artifacts..! I thank you for allowing me to post this note of thanks to the 'unsung heroes' of modellling....
Wow, Martin, absolutely superb all around; the build, the video, the choice of music. This is the first video in the last 9 months since I started modeling and joined the YT community, that I have watched and got goose-bumps! Absolutely stupendous, I loved it! Cheers, Martin : )
A very interesting subject. The skeletal builds do turn out very nicely. Have wanted to tackle one of the large scale WWI kits, only draw back are phenomenal costs. Your a fine modeler Martin and look forward to your future on youtube.
Hello David, Shame that this kit is no more produce by Eduard. But...I've just find it on Ebay! Will see if I'am able to do it as good as yours... Thanks for the inspiration.
It was indeed, and in a strange twist of fate one was also used by Air Chief Marshal Sir Harry Broadhurst, GCB, KBE, DSO & Bar, DFC & Bar, AFC as his personal taxi in 1944. www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/35196-broadhursts-storch/
wow its wow your the one man all your works is nice you have nice technic i like the way you done to your thinks. you are my mentor david ... friend from canada quebec montral.
When I saw that this thing is basically etching hell, I broke down crying. I'm having PTSD of the days when I loved doing shit like metal earth and such. Someone kill me.
@tree gang gaming hey man, my brother uses this account. He doesn't give two fucks man. And too be going and replying to a year old comment of a 11 year old is kinda petty
That is an excursive in working with photo etch which you build looked to be PERFECT!!! Very impressive indeed. Then scatch building the engine and adding the wing stuts, landing gear etc. Well, that once again David is a work of art. You are a true master. Would love to see you build the new Bandai "Star Wars Y Wing kit." you can get it online at Amazon.com. Very reasonable price with beautiful detail. I remember your mentioning you were thinking about building something Sci Fi and I feel you would REALLY appreciate the exquisite crisp detail on this one! Your thoughts on this idea?
Do you not use metal primer on the photo etch parts? I recently put together the Eduard Fokker Dr. I stripdown kit. A real challenge which I was not quite up to. But I find these kits are a fascinating engineering exercise
I hate photo-etch in my kits (armour guy) I have stubby fat fingers, trembling hands and piss-poor eyesight. When I use my tweezers parts seem to ping out at mach1 towards the carpet never to be found again, so how you managed to construct this spiders web fills me with jelousy..... You are really skilled.......git! :¬)
David,if you would build a truck with a trailor, like kenworth, peterbilt,or european like daf or something similar ,it would be great.i try to watch all your films, for now i try to learn what ,how and when to do particular things to make it work perfect for someone who is watching from a distance, siriously, those films of you working on each model are so bloody relaxing ,that i am just cooling down when i am pissed off :D,thanks for that mate :)
SUPERB BUILD!! Only annoying criticism is while engrossed in watching, annoying bloody adverts for toothpaste and lipstick keep interrupting!! Aarrrggghhh!!!
hello david :) i am doing a video project right now, featuring the best and most memorable builds of the past few years, to bring back some attention to them. i consider your fi156 to be an extraordinary piece and would love to include it in the show. please tell me what you think about that. have a nice day :)
Thanks for your comment. I did not know that you have modeling channel, subscribe :-D Now, I can practice my Deutsch. :-D And of course, you can use anything you want.
I plan to release the video sometime during the weekend, most pictures already got here, so i was able to make some rough plans. Will be fun to see the result :)
Hmmm... ačkoli se považuju za docela trpělivýho člověka, na tohle bych nervy a trpělivost neměl. Kdybych já dělal video tohohle modelu "step by step", trvalo by asi tak hodinu. První cca minuta by vypadala možná stejně. Pak by následovala úprava leptů kladivem, přenádherná koule vteřinovýho lepidla s decentně vyčnívajícíma kouskama plechu a decentní kamufláží balakrylem. Akustickej podkres by zahrnoval široku škálu nadávek a kleteb.

THE BEST model video on the web! This video is a classic. Makes one of the most difficult models of all time look easy!
I mean, I'm a patient modeler but this thing would make me end myself...
Ha ha!
Actually i can do that Storch, but need lenses and Socian 50 mg, much...
All I can say is......

I'm just re-watching this video again, 8yo and still amazing!
An amazing build. All credit to you for having the patience and skill to achieve the result.
An entire model made of photo etch, a first for me. Beautiful work, and I'm surprised to see you've been doing this for 8 years!

Beautifully done. As usual. Love the scratch built engine.
A very interesting subject. The skeletal builds do turn out very nicely. Have wanted to tackle one of the large scale WWI kits, only draw back are phenomenal costs. Your a fine modeler Martin and look forward to your future on youtube.
john maddox who is Martin? his name is David
how do you find the time to do so many models? Do you do this for a living? Keep posting videos its inspiring, you're highly skilled.
I really like how that wing was constructed, bending the spars rather than gluing them on individually
Very good work Martin! Love it!
Wow! just Wow! Never knew you could do something like this! Congratulations!!
That is a superb piece of work David, you're much braver than me!
You are a gifted man......

Hello David,
Shame that this kit is no more produce by Eduard. But...I've just find it on Ebay! Will see if I'am able to do it as good as yours...
Thanks for the inspiration.
The Fi 156 Storch ,fantastic . I think this aircraft was the choice of the Desert fox, in the desert '41-'43.

Maravilloso. Tus técnicas son perfectas. Te felicito.
This was made to look easy. Believe me it is NOT! A fantastic job was done here.
I have this kit in my stash. One day I might even build up enough fortitude to start it.

Just fabulous !!!!
Marvellous! What's the plastic? It looks like the Heller tooling.
Do you not use metal primer on the photo etch parts?
I recently put together the Eduard Fokker Dr. I stripdown kit. A real challenge which I was not quite up to. But I find these kits are a fascinating engineering exercise
