7:04 I like how tom nook being able to execute code by speaking it aloud implies that he's omnipotent, and has the power to control the game and you and all the other villagers are just puppets in his own little world
Maybe it's closer to him uttering words that cannot be spoken by mere mortals. It would be like us trying to speak the language of God, and because that is impossible, the world simply collapses as it has no way to compensate for this eventuality.
Resetti's song is my ringtone and I had this video in my queue, when it came on I ran to my phone thinking this video was an actual phone call. You successfully accidentally bamboozled me
There are some facts here that have been mentioned on this channel before, but I wanted to compile all the "forced-resets" into one video. Hopefully there's still some new information for you all in this video! Rest assured there are still plenty of new discoveries and obscure information to cover in the future, and I am putting substantial effort into covering those topics with longer, in-depth videos with increased production quality. A few major topics I've teased in the past are finally coming to fruition in the editing stage! Hope you look forward to it! 🤫

That partial sports fair with broken NPCs that you cant talk to and them just standing there menacingly while doing seemingly random things and having the game crash if you try to leave that tile is the creepiest Imagine finding something very eerie and creepy and no one responds to you and leaving just crashes

I'm glad Mr.Resetti found a new job. In Wild World I'd have to purposely reset until he gave me an apology task that I could do. Worth noting that while they both were functional, neither Legend of Zelda item was legitimately obtainable in Doubutsu no Mori+. However, it is still possible to receive them from third-party password generators (the NA version excludes the "Forbidden Four" from passwords). Kind of the equivalent of making a custom e-Reader card for them.
I am interested in hearing more about the common codes that can be executed by nook codes and what kinds of things you can do with them. Since for both videos that brought it up, it was quite vague and brief
I love the pace you put out these videos! Reminds me of other channels I'm subscribed to that focus on one specific game like asumsaus or theZAZZglitch.

I found your channel about two weeks ago and have spent a good portion of my free time watching all your uploads. This is one of my favorite game series of all time, and seeing someone be so passionate and informative on the subject has been really interesting and wonderful. Everything is presented in a really easy-to-understand way, and the production quality is great. I can't wait to see more! Also, just curious, do you plan on doing similar videos on other entries in the series in the future? That would be awesome to see.
I just found this channel and I really love it. Its nice to watch about oddities and glitches in older games. Maybe you could make a video on the other Animal Crossing games if they behave as glitchy as the original.
I had no idea there was a standard Famicom cartridge version of the Legend of Zelda. I assumed that the Legend of Zelda only released for the Famicom disk system in Japan.
Awwwe yeah!!! Only 5 months of videos and theres a level of quality here that's just so easy and comfy to watch that I haven’t felt since I first discovered asum saus's melee videos, just with animal crossing this time
I actually read about that first one on an old website in text form but I never saw any video of it. Seems it's a really old bug. As for the second one, you didn't show it, but the row above A (actually hacking yourself onto the cliff on the top) actually does work in the map and registers as row Q with proper numbers. I've not seen this online anywhere and I remember finding this ages ago.
The very first one with the diary would actually be a hardlock rather than a softlock! For it to be a softlock, you have to be able to input commands of some kind while still being unable to progress. A complete lack of ability to do anything is a hardlock.
I always wondered about that split second of a white line fading out and drifting across the screen when a reset occurs. Is that actually a part of the game? I never owmed this version but I always noticed this in videos
It is part of the game. I believe it’s an added effect to simulate a CRT television turning off just to give you some visual confirmation that the game is resetting. Mr. Resetti actually fakes you out and causes the game to display that white line reset graphic on one of his angry rants!
2:36 This is the first time of my life that I heard of this glitch. I'm gonna check it out, I wonder if I could drop to the river and go north of the bounds or at least walk in the river of my town and drop in the waterfall, lol!.
oh wow I feel jelly Japanese version gets 2 versions of Zelda. I didn't know it had FDS emulation. I love it when official software acknowledges differences in prior versions. Another example is Sonic Mega Collection lets you play ver 1.0 or 1.1 of the Sonic 1 ROM with a code.
I think I read somewhere that Animal Crossing has a custom crash handler that keeps Resetti from appearing if the game crashes. (Although it won't help if you lose power.)
Some of these glitches are Lovecraftian in nature. "Tom Nook can break reality by speaking unpronounceable words," "these cubes will duplicate themselves until it freezes everything" and "this LoZ game will kill you and the universe instantly" all sound like some Cthulhu type shenanigans.
