YOU LITERALLY COULD NOT HAVE POSTED AT A BETTER TIME I have an art assignment due soon with drawings focusing on perspective and composition, and I really needed more tips 😔😭🙌
Even though I know art fundamentals, I love watching you videos on them because of the way you present information! From time to time I've gone back to your videos on color and they've influenced me to shift my style a little bit!😄💕
I don't either but basically: the most detailed/important part of the art should be on the center of the spiral, and get more simple as the spiral gets looser
its just a ratio that's "golden" bc of how perfect it is ig? the golden ratio is programmed in our brain to be pleasing to look at so thats why it's important to include it in art composition!!
I swear you motivate me to keep drawing even when I’m in art block. Still grasping anatomy from your vid’s! maybe one day I’ll be able to draw such pretty art 🖤
I saw this video pop up on my homepage and clicked without thinking much, but when I heard your voice I was so happy it was you again! I love your tips sm!
I interpret the golden ratio as being less about that curve you showed and more about the ratio -- that is the series of numbers and their relation towards each other. The Fibonacci sequence 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, etc is related to the golden ratio in that the farther along in the sequence you go, the closer n/n-1 gets to the golden ratio (1.618...). When the golden ratio is used in art, I don't think people generally derive much from the golden spiral -- to me it seems like the spiral can basically fit anything if you try hard enough -- but from a ratio, a literal number. What I mean is that people look at something like the Fibonacci sequence and use it for the purpose of constructing hierarchy in their art. Someone might have a small box with a width of 1 foot, another with a width of 2, then 3, 5, etc. This could draw the eye not based on some invisible curve, but based on actual proportion. It creates emphasis in a basic way. You could also use other sequences to do this. For example n^2: 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, etc.
Thanks for the tips! I'm currently creating an original piece for my painting class exposition so i'm trying my best to make the composition tell the stoy i want to express with the painting
I pursued art, so I wouldn't have to do math outside of school (I wanted a simple hobby and I loved drawing as a kid. I'm still doing art now). Turns out, I was wrong 🤡. Math teachers and your parents really mean it when they say "Math is in EVERYTHING." Thanks for this video! Very helpful 👍✨.
I am trying so hard to understand how composition works but I just don't get it, I get it wirh Sonic, but that's just because he perfectly alines with the lines. and if it doesn't I have a hard time understanding the composition. whyyyyyyyy. But I kind of understand the shape langues, so I will try to start with that and maybe one day I'll get a hang of the golden compossitoon stuffs
How do you come up with such interesting characters? I want to focus my art mainly on characters and I would love to know how you do it! Like, do you use a character designing app to get a visual and then draw them? I love your videos!❤
I love your videos...they put me in a very good mood...I learn a lot, thanks for everything bloo!! 🌱🤍 (Postscript, I love the background music of your videos 🤍✨)
Whenever someone is explaining composition I just see a beautiful artwork then a random ahh shape smashed at it like a square as if the art work actually was based off of that shape when it doesnt even aligns with it
heyyy
Hope you feel better
noo sorry to hear that hope you get better soon

Hope you get well soon, thanks for the very helpful video❤❤❤
