I was LITERALLY just drawing a sketch with heavy perspective and started to get mad because i couldn't get it right... this was like a gift from the heavens
WHERE WERE YOU ALL MY LIFE. I just started drawing with more perspective and I’ve honestly been struggling so hard and spending like two hours on just the sketch 💀 this actually helped my understanding of perspective so much thank you 😭
You probably won't see this, but I want to thank you profoundly for this video :D This tutorial has reignited my passion for art, and I couldn't help but smile throughout this because perspective is the one thing holding me back, and you make it look so fun & easy while also explaining your process. I'll try to incorporate these tips in my art, thank you again!! :)
I’ve tried to practice perspective weeks ago, my technique is still a bit incomplete but your video helped me a lot! :D I finally got it right, thank you sm! I also love your speed paint videos and hope you make more since I adoreeee your vibrant colors💕
As someone who has a particularly difficult time learning, I found this video very helpful. The things some of the pros would say would stress me out because they tell you only what to do but not how to see it nor how to connect it to something I already know, but just simplifying the advice to using rubber bands makes it so much easier for me to understand! This is a huge help, I feel less hopeless, and I'll watch more of your advice :)
just wanted to say, ur videos have singlehandedly saved my entire interest in art and drawing. been following along with ur tutorials for quite a bit, this one came out at the perfect time!! keep being awesome :)
i was literaly having a mental breakdown because i couldn't draw a pose in perspective and i realized i saw a video about it on ur channel. you saved me from my misery. thank you master blue 🙇♀🙇♀
I have to respect you so much for the effort you put into these high quality videos, from the artistic detail like drawing the exact same drawing again so the drawing feels a bit more lifelike (also to retain our stinky attention span grr) to the fact that THIS IS REALLY WELL EXPLAINED like wth your a blessing to the art community.
It's been a while since I started following you, and I'm happy to say that after I met you, my drawings improved a lot! Your tutorials help me a lot and I'm sure it helps many other people too. Thank you so much and greetings from Brazil!💕🇧🇷
I've been on and off trying to draw since I took a couple art classes in hs an eternity ago, and have been getting frustrated with my inability to draw organic things in general, much less in perspective. Your tutorial videos have been a godsend in that regard, so thank you 🙏 and keep up the good work
I think this video builds up on Sycra’s foreshortening method. Speaking of it, I highly recommend both of these videos when it comes to perspective! Helped me a lot.
As someone who has struggled with anatomy and depth so much thank you for this guide!!! I’m gonna try to put all of this to good use with my own work :)
I may not be English speaking person, but it's a pleasure for me to watch your video. Everything is perfectly shown in it. Even without subtitles, I understand what you're talking about. Thank you
Thank u so much for this video! Im gonna actually take art seriously instead of not practicing, i’ll at least force myself to practice for 2 hours everyday. Again thanks for this video!
Omg thank you so much for this! Perspective is one of my weak points and I asked about this on stream a couple months ago and I’ve been looking forward to it ever since! You’ve done a great job at visualising the process, the whole community thanks you ❤
You are a lot better at just teaching how to do things understandably that most people. It’s amazing, because just by taking notes, I was able to draw in perspective a great deal better that I could before, just by taking notes and drawing myself examples. In one sitting. Your videos are always very informative and easy to understand! I love them, and needless to say, I have subscribed! I will be going through all of your videos one by one so I can learn how to improve my art! Thank you for that!! :D
OMG this reminded me of the one thing I was doing wrong! I forgot that it’s going to look funky at first but when you keep doing it, you’ll get better! I used to give up because it looked funky but that’s just because I’m not used to it! Thank you so much!!!!
This a good tut for perspective because some small artists really don't know how to draw from perspective and this could really help a lot for their studies. Good video Blue!!!
WTH YOU JUST... YOU JUST TAUGHT ME PERSPECTIVE IN A SPLIT SECOND WITH THE SPIRALS.. IT'S NOW LIKE I'VE KNOWN FOR YEARS??? I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGHHHHHH OMG... OMG...
These videos always give a great and simple overview to a complex subject but somehow explains it better than most of the other around 300+ art videos ive watched. Thank you and keep up the good work!
you always manage to simplify complicated art concepts into these tutorial videos and they make so much more sense than anything else! please never stop making art and these tutorials
i love your art!! i was laughing so hard when u showed those stairs and said you don't know how you did em, we all have those pieces that we finish and almost can't believe it. it looks so amazing by the way and i just know you reproduce those wonderful results all the time! very helpful video
I think I somewhat grasped how to use perspective with characters, and can't wait to try it out(fuuuck it's 3 am already........) Thank you for your guidance, fellow artist!
And here was me, trying several times over the years to come back to drawing, being thrown off each and every time by perspective problems (while trying to draw chars in perspective without bands or proper vanishing points, even)
I haven't watched the video yet and the title already gives me hints that it's gonna be a good one. the simple 3 words "Like I do" are so good it's insane, it really paints the picture that drawing perspective isn't defined to one way.
I've been struggling with this type of stuff for a while now but the stacking shapes thing and calling the little dividing lines rubber bands really made smth click Really well explained video overall
Pretty well explained video. I always struggle with perspective but wish I could do solid forshortened drawings so badly. I should give this video another watch while also practicing the shapes. I've been sketching hands from Pinterest with no avail yet.
I love your tutorials, I've been having a hard time being motivated with art and in general just doing anything rn. But for some reason this tutorials you make from time to time makes me feel so motivated and relaxed
Is it weird that I prefer the stuttering in the video? It feels like when I do presentations, I stutter every other word as if I’m tryin’ to be a lyrical spiritual individual unintentionally while tryin’ to just explain a concept. Feels genuine.
I always get so stressed out drawing because I see the finished product that im trying to get and get so stressed out that I just tear up and quit, the rubber band method rlly helped, so did the boxes stacking but im still dumb as shit and can’t look a reference without panicking
This is awesome!! I e never heard anyone talk about rubber banding and spiralling before! I’ll definitely try to incorporate these strategies into my art!
You are a godsend. I've been trying to make this stupid ahh meme for months now but couldn't because I *needed* to add perspective into it, and I can't do that since I never really taught myself how to. This saved me so much research and time.
Nice drawings!! My 2 favourite drawings is down below!! 1. That cute guy whos holding a star lighting 2.the guy whos in a Library idk reading some books
Y'all reminder that you have to learn anatomy first, don't make the same mistake i made💀💀💀 it's rlly important to drawing perspective and will make it alot easier. Plus you can simplify the parts of the body by using shapes for the base to also make it easier. Just make sure you add a little detail to it so it'll make it look more realistic.
thanks! I'm doing an arts project about cinema, I'm making a short animation, in one of the moments I needed to use a little perspective to make it more beautiful, your tutorial helped a lot!
I only know how to draw 2-3 perspective angles and I’m trying to draw more and not the same pose I love your vids they helped me improve my anatomy and style ❤❤

I wished I had this tutorial when I first started trying to figure out perspective, but now it makes so much more sense the way you explained it! ♥
you literally manage to post at the exact time I'm struggling with something art wise every time! I'm eternally grateful 😭
After watching this video I realized that all I have to do is practice 😞
Rubber bands are also known contour lines in art classes and textbooks.
The rubber bands technique in particular helped so much to keep my stuff proportionate
Ah another tutorial! I wasn’t looking to have a lesson on perspective today but ig I am now, Bloo’s tutorials are always so helpful :D

One thing that helped me understand the rubber band technique was making a short Animation of the band rotating on a stick around one point
Perspective is something I struggle practicing with, so this helped a lot, tysm!
