It doesn't take much to figure out that he had the headroom and width to pass through without getting stuck. The fact that he had to pull his boat out and into the adjacent mooring by rope tends to indicate the boat lost propulsion so to me, the guy deserves credit for getting himself, his family or friends and the boat to safety.....but hey, not everyone can figure it out!!!!
@recneps55 I agree, the sharp left on the other side leaves it quite blind coming from this way. Though, the way he's come, it looks like he'd just turned and was struggling to straighten up for the bridge. This is one which has the concrete sort of kerbs low down making it narrower than the bridge arch itself doesn't it?
Not enough information to make accusations about lack of piloting skills. The boat could just as easily suffered engine failure, that's what it looks like to me anyway. Its clearly not stuck as they pulled it through.
My mum has a place in Ludham, and I have went over that bridge loads of times, never under it. I need a boat for that, a boat under the max height limit :P :P
