The image in my head is so clear: an older glass-eyed Sunny, staring at himself in the mirror like always. Instead of seeing Something lurking behind him as he did in the past, Sunny sees his big sister, squeezing his shoulders with a proud smile on her face.

OMG guys I found a really weird theory but listen: What if everything was just a dream and in the end of game Good morning means we woke up from that dream and the final achievement of the game which wants you to complete all the achievements' name is It's all a dream. And in "My Time" we can see a quote Close your eyes and you'll leave this dream (Oyasumis second meaning is k*ll yourself) so what do you think I know it is such a bullshit but I dunno it just come to my mind :D

@@CryingDark Well I more so intended it to be like Mari's spirit ushering Sunny to do the right thing. So not exactly like everything is a dream, but yes, Mari singing while Sunny is in the hospital. But I like that take as well, I think things like this can and should be open to different interpretations 😁🙏

it perfectly encapsulates so many things about the story. it first shows Mari's perfectionism and her understanding of why things turned out the way they did, then her desire for things to have gone differently and come back to Sunny, but then the last three lines are a cruel re-affirmation that things can't change and for him to keep going despite the trials, all while generally re-affirming that she still loves him. literally everything about Mari's character in the game is perfectly summarized. and it's only ONE verse? what in the world is this songwriting

OMORI’s credits song has never quite hit for me the way it did upon hearing this cover. I hate to admit that I relate to these lyrics so strongly. As I listen to this my mind can’t help but think of someone dearly departed, someone very special to me, who I lost just as Sunny lost Mari. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you for this. 💜

i saw it only had 289 views so i was like "sure i'll check it out" but damn this hits so hard and is honestly very in character for mari and honestly along the lines of what i'd expect for her to sing to sunny if she were to after the good ending
and also the voice acting is insane and the "nostalgic" filter also adds a lot to the video

whenever i see omori fanworks my main criteria for judging whether or not they're good is whether or not it would happen in the game on the basis of the narrative and the personalities of each character, and this is literally so in character for mari in every way. and on top of all of that, the audio quality, singing, and atmosphere is top notch.

hi i know i already commented a few times on this video but i was randomly watching it again and i had a pretty awesome realization as to another layer of how good this song is
we already know ingame that Mari has forgiven Sunny completely. the narrative plotpoint of forgiveness is more explored and centered around Aubrey, Kel, Hero, and Basil, even though Mari still has a part to play in that.
however, this song not only perfectly encapsulates the theme of forgiveness in Omori as well as Mari's character from what we know, it also explores the depths as to how much Mari has forgiven Sunny. while the concept of Sunny murdering his loving older sister is sad and her totally forgiving him for not only killing her but lying about it for 4 years is extremely heartwarming, this song gives such an incredible insight into how she has TRULY forgiven Sunny and continues to comfort him, be beside him, and give him courage. it's already so wholesome knowing Mari forgave him, but this song explores that in SUCH a meaningful way that the game did not portray.

I’m very glad that the song gave you that interpretation! Mari definitely is portrayed as the ultimate giver of unconditional love, at least that’s how I felt too, so I really wanted to portray that! We don’t get any official feelings from Mari in the game, for obvious reasons, but I’ve noticed that’s something many fans wish they had experienced so I wanted to show that in here as well 😊

This song hurts....., it perfectly represents the pain of loseing someone important to you, from the pain of knowing no matter how hard you scream, there is no way you can make more memories with them, it hardly feels real, like if you just keep calling them maybe they will pick up and everything will be okay... but
instead you choose to sleep, dreaming about them, and spending your life with them over and over agian

It’s so hard when we lose someone but the best we can do sometimes is to rise and shine ✨ if you never have played OMORI it might be worth considering, it’s definitely an emotional hit but incredibly deep and in many ways relatable for those who have experienced loss.
