    One use for this headset is for truckers or heavy equipment operators. I watched your review and bought them to wear in the truck. The noise cancelling microphone and the ability for situational awareness makes them perfect. I will let you know how they work when they come in.

    On the aftershokz for those who are struggling to pair it with a PC, try using a Jabra USB dongle (or similar) and pair that to the headset. It works very well with no issues if you use a UC certified USB Bluetooth dongle like that…..

      I haven't had an issue pairing it, but are thinking through rolling this out in an office...Would pairing the headset with the USB dongle, even with devices that have built-in blue tooth, prevent interference if multiple people are using this?

      @@CallOneInc Yes, using built in Bluetooth on a Dell laptop. I use MS Teams just about daily and after you've paired the Opencomms, in the settings for Teams, you select the Opencomms for headphone and for microphone. It provides excellent choice during teleconferences.

    Not a fan of pods or buds for that matter when talking on my phone outside. They cannot handle the wind or busy places which is frustrating for both parties. I also don't know why one keeps falling out and I can't wear them for any long period of time without fiddling with them which usually ends up turning them off. Shokz OpenComm all the way, light and comfortable and can handle outside ambience.

    His warnings are valid, but his lack of Windows knowledge is apparent. You don't configure AG headphones in the Windows settings, you leave the Windows settings as stereo. You going to the application's audio settings, such as Zoom or Teams, and set the default device to be AG. The behavior you'll experience is that when you're listening to music, and you switch to a call, you'll stop hearing the music. Be aware, your music will still be playing you just can't hear it, because, as far as the application (Media player, Spotify) is a aware the signal is being sent to the stereo device... However, Windows isn't sending it on to the Bluetooth device. Shocks does sell a UC model, that includes a dongle and resolves these issues.

    so do you recommend any wireless headsets that work with software like TALKDESK? thanks

    • @CallOneInc
      @CallOneInc  3 роки тому

      Hi Robert! There are many wireless headset options that are compatible with TalkDesk. Here is a link from talkdesk that shows some outdated headsets and in their video they do not recommend wireless headsets support.talkdesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205161253-What-Headsets-Are-Recommended-
      However, Jabra has an entire section dedicated to talkdesk and share headset models that are integrated by talkdesk: www.jabra.com/business/for-your-platform/talkdesk
      You can also check the Jabra Compatibility Guide that lists wireless headset options: www.jabra.com/compatibilityguide/gallery?thirdPartyProducts=talkdesk_cx_cloud&filters=42d2c2ae-d7e2-4838-bb7c-c5a91cad2214

    How did you get the OpenComm mic to work with the iPhone?! I have an iPhone 8 with iOS 14.7.1 and the mic will not work. Works fine on Android and Windows. I tried several factory resets to no effect. I ordered a replacement OpenComm and it's the same issue.

      @@motownlucas my main contact is pulling in other AfterShokz team members to provide insight. He's initial response is: Thanks for forwarding your conversation to us, Danny. Sorry that motownlucas experienced this issue.
      The only reason I can think that the mic wouldn't be working with motownlucas' iPhone is if they didn't have the headset selected as their audio source while on a call. I assume that they tried this seeing as they're familiar with technology but I wanted to put that out there just in case.

      @@CallOneInc Yes, I can hear others through the headset, but they cannot hear me. Just now I tried recording a voice memo with them and playing it back at medium volume I can just barely hear something. If I crank the volume up I can hear it. So the mic is working I guess, but the level is waaaay too low. When I tested on a borrowed Android phone there was no issue. I'm hoping to test on some other iPhones soon.
