Adding playful PANDA GARRA and 2 GIANT SHRIMPS (Vampire and Bamboo shrimp) | EP3 HILLSTREAM AQUARIUM

- In this video of Hillstream aquarium (Algae-scape) I added new fish Panda garra (Garra flavatra). Vampire shrimp (Atya gabonensis) and Bamboo shrimp (Atyopsis moluccensis) were added from my old aquarium. Unexpectedly fish fry appeared; to be precise White cloud minnow fry. They are so tiny and some got eaten by their parents. After 1 hour of chasing fry around in the aquarium I managed to save 8 of them. I doubt the rest will survive, but you never know.

Panda garra are really cool fish, so active. I love how yours swims in circles. When I had my bamboo shrimp, I would feed crushed flake. He would always sit on the sponge filter and catch all the particles in the tank. Unfortunately he found a small opening in the aquarium and got out. I think when he was molting, they are more nervous during this time. I really enjoyed having him. Hopefully that green algae takes over the rocks and replaces the brown diatom for you. Those are always really beautiful. Take care.
Thanks Phil. I can't wait for more algae in this aquarium to show up. Luckily I finally got rid of BGA. Bamboo shrimp is cool, I see him every now and then. Vampire shrimp, well let's say his name suits him perfectly.
Love Panda Garras. They do tend to test the boundaries of the tank though. I've got one who will jump up into the HOB filter. Have had two jump right out of the tank (was able to save one!)
Unfortunately I lost this one (recently) and made a video about it. It was summer and because of the heat I had to keep an open top aquarium. Panda garras are amazing and always so active little fish.

I built it a long time ago and if my memory serves me well it was Aquael gravel. I think it is called Natural or something like that.
