You should think about the order in which to take the starting settlements. In the first game, if you take 843 second, you start off with the rare sheep and get an extra wood to match your higher brick production. Anyway didn't make a difference. Well played!
Good point! Initially I was gonna take the 9510 so I wanted the 10 brick first instead of having to wait for 2 10s to roll, but I ended up taking the 5410 which gave me 2 brick and in that case I definitely should’ve taken the 843 first!
You could have also taken the first city sooner in the second game. Given you have multiple numbers for each resource and helps you get the second city/devs faster.

Also true! I’ve been scared of taking early cities from other games, but in this game with the 2 of each resource city would’ve been nice
8-3-10 over 8-5-10 in 2nd game is really not good. Imagine how nice that early YOP would have been with the 8-5-10.
Yeah I talked about taking the 8510, but last minute decided I wanted 2 sheep spots. You’re right though, 8510 is better for sure
