Man I watch so many of your videos. Sometimes I question your road placements. The last game leaving the 8/4/3 uncontested and pointing towards the 3/4/11 didn’t make a lot of sense. The 3/4/11 doesn’t do anything for your game

Game 2: Should have used the yop immediately for brick, wheat to settle the 8-10. Next roll was a 10 and you would have had a city. Sure the 8 is blocked but then the 5 9 10 are open to roll into another city. Ore port was a huge blunder that cost you the game. It was the the last thing you need with only 7 pips of ore.

can't be giving them the 6 9 3 into 8 4 3 in the second game. They dominate on roads and ows once they settle.

Tough board, I like 9/10/3 and 6/4/3 to start. One 3 roll and you city, obviously looking to take as much space as possible

Good games!! I’d encourage you to slow down in some of these games, especially if you’re trying to move up in the top 100. Some of your card tracking was way off and that’s crucial when you get monos. Like at 34:25 you say that he has 2 ore and 3 wheat. He then immediately citied. You could’ve monoed his ore and it would’ve been crushing. Just small things like that.

Love those close victories. Opponent in second game shouldn't have popped dev after settling @31:32 They would have citied and won if they hadn't have popped

At 28:25 in the 2nd game I think it would’ve been a little better to mono the sheep and settle on the sheep port. It would’ve allowed you to city and clear your hand at 14 points and still have the open road settle. Great game though!!

6:55, you consider monoing wheat but think he has only 2 or 3 but bank is showing at least six on the board.

I don’t think you should retire but you definitely need a reset. You have been getting very emotional lately when rolls and devs don’t go your way. Both these have a lot of variance game to game and the cooler you can remain, the more logically you can think. Slow down, remain calm, take the variance with a grain of salt. You’re a good player but you are off your game when your emotions get too hot.

why didi you wait with 8 ore block for so long? you had your first knight, why did you wait so long? you used it way too late and rolled a 7 right after In addition, you decided to buy development cards instead of a second city

Third game you aren't nearly as cooked as you think you are after the plow, if you had just blocked the 6 and not the 9 you prevent a lot of those devs and still have a great shot at army. Furthermore he'd have to waste a lot of roads to get to his max(13), which you can even beat him to since the connect is available. Moral of the story, if you just had stayed discipline after the plow you win that game more often then not.

Don't over analyze the second game, the guy took a gamble taking 9 11 3. He needs two 9s a 5 and a 10 compared to your two 4s an 11 and a 8. I don't suggest playing like this, it will not yield consistent results. This is a case where you kinda just got unlucky and you gotta let them have this one. I do prefer 8 3 10 and 6 4 3 slightly, but your setup is equally as good, it's just your preference really. btw nothing wrong racing in third game, sometimes its inevitable

Always 6 9 3, once you build into 5 4 11 you got double ows. I skipped ahead once i saw your placement so maybe you got unlucky, but 8 4 3 felt kinda losing. In theory 8's rolling are never good, so you don't want to be placing on it, you want gain an advantage when your numbers roll. With hte setup you choose the only numbers you are winning on is 9 and 5. If you take 6 9 3, you win big time on the 6 and 9 as well as the 5 still. You also match is ows production and you have better road building, which in theory increases your odds of winning. It's also worth noting that red placed very well, 6 5 11 is a trap because 6 9 3 to 8 4 3 is busted for you, so gotta give them credit there. I think the take-way here is that when some is on coordinated numbers they MIGHT get off the a hot start, in this case they did. Therefore, building those two roads and not upping your production is too slow. Road settling on 5 4 11 right away matches ore production 10-10, you still lack on wheat and sheep which is why 6 9 3 woulda been better. If the 8s didn't start hot a slower game woulda been fine, but in this case you gotta adapt to the situation! Keep looking for patterns in your games, it'll help you improve:) Also 9 5 10 was right btw. Complaining about dice will never help, you just gotta adapt your strategy to what rolls:)

First game you should've popped a few times before city just to protect yourself. Love the content keep it up ill be here consistently. Could you possibly move the board to the right a bit so we can see the entire thing

First two games really show how this is a game of luck as much as skill.

The second game was unlucky but also you got tiled right away for some reason and didn't have a plan. You settled on a bunch of sheep before getting useful ports to process resources which left your hand useless a lot. This game is so tilting though lol, I feel you on the frustration

That first game, 10, 9,5, & 4,3,8 was a better set up plus you start with the ore

nice win! I'm don't play 1v1 all that often anymore but at one point i was top 500. I personally would've grabbed the 5 9 10 in the bottom right because I think regardless of where he goes you will be able to get on the 8-brick and either 4 or 5 wheat. This is actually exactly what your opponent did. I don't think he could've blocked you without throwing because if he goes 5-Wheat 8-Brick 10-Wood, then you can grab 8-Brick 4 3 or 8-Brick 4 with the trade.

GG, well played. I've seen you playing Phantom a couple of times recently. I do think 2/1 ports are major key to victory, it helped you a ton in this game.

Nice game! It felt like for a while there his production and road path would just go wild but your ports helped you battle back!

In my opinion you focus a little too much on screwing your opponents with your picks. Instead of going for a decent good or even strong setup you tend to pick something worse just to make it harder for your oppenent. That might work in some Games but not in the majority of Games. Focusing on getting a good setup yourself and outplaying your opponents during the Game should reduce the luck component of the Game and get you back on the winning track.

Third game you could still have road. Cut his roads and he has four roads on each side for Max 11. You had two wasted left and one on right for Max 12

game 3 you lost in placement. should've taken the 8410 all wood and built right to the wood port. you still get the 9 5 10 because he blocked out of it. coordinated 8s would've let you move fast that wood port could've been everything....

Road placements and expansions are a big area where you could improve. Last game that 3 10 11 spot is a lot better than the wood pile. It basically concedes road to opponent has he splits the middle of board. Building two roads to 3 :1 is so slow and he just dominates production. Going 3 10 11 and 5 4 11 gives you way more production and road path as well.

Pulls both monos: He could have a mono and take the wheat back... 🤦🏼‍♂️

I feel like in the last game, building the road to the wood when you know you lose the race likely cost you the game. 3:1 is great to have, but I think fighting for space is a much better move. Enjoy watching! Keep it up.
