Tried to blame a Sticky pitch on Saturday at our place, unfortunately for your team and mine( worksop) i think Ashton,warrington,Big heads Mac and Marine are in the play offs.see you next season😊
Saturday v Worksop was poor, they kept the ball away from us and although they got the three points couldn’t finish us off so we managed to get a couple of chances at the end which of course were missed. The first half V Macc was better but their first and second goal was so easy, I swear the after the first goal the Mac players were looking at each other to say bloody hell that was easy! The second goal, how many times did we give it away before they scored? Twice straight to their feet as I noticed. Whether it was a sending off or not against that good lad Ditchie it really changed the game, Macc knew we were no threat after that and simply held us off. To be fair It’s blindingly obvious that Macc’s team is far far above the level of any team that’s been at this level, even South Shields, so it’s no shame to lose to them. We’ll see what happens for the last few games if we make the play offs but wouldn’t it be ironic if Ashton get thru? Given the absolute schooling we gave them at home only for us to mis chance after chance after sitter after sitter and them score to equalise in the last minute but hey, that’s football. We’re just not crafty or clinical enough to finish teams off in some games but hey, what a ride this and the last season was. More please!
