The CCM Ribcor Trigger 8 hockey stick is designed to give you a quick release, with some high-end technologies to help improve your overall on-ice performance.
CCM optimizes the low-kick point design in the Trigger 8 stick by using Skeleton+ Technology and Ergonomic Shaft Geometry. Skeleton+ is designed to specifically improve the hosel and taper strength for a much more reliable stick. For the Ergonomic Shaft CCM uses a different design in each section - the top shaft has a rounded concave shape for increased comfort and control; the mid-shaft has a rounded convex backside combined with a square-cornered concave front for maximum dexterity; and the low-shaft has a concave front and rounded concave back, combining to offer a quick release and maximum accuracy.
For the stick material, CCM includes Advanced Carbon layering throughout the shaft making the stick both light and durable, while the blade is constructed with Sigmatex Spread Tow. This high-performance spread tow fabric features an innovative weaving process that provides lightweight strength and resilience, giving you the feel you want and the structural strength you need from a top-end stick.
The Trigger 8 features CCM’s Agility Blade with peel-ply giving it an improved construction that optimizes the stiffness profile and transitions seamlessly from softer in the heel to extra stiff in the toe. This allows for heightened puck feel and quicker releases.
This stick has very similar features to the previous Trigger 7 stick, but CCM upgraded the quality of materials, and the carbon fiber layers in the shaft. This makes the stick slightly heavier than the Trigger 7 but will provide more strength and better balance.
The Ribcor Trigger 8 stick is built to keep up with the speed of today’s game and is an excellent option for players looking for some top-of-the-line technologies but at a lower price point.

8 looks like the exact same specs as the trigger 7 non pro. I don't think that 435 grams for the trigger 8 is right. No way second from top weighs that much
Compared to the Trigger 8, the Trigger 7 Pro will be a lighter stick and has upgraded materials in the shaft with Nanolite Carbon Layering and STP Spread Tow. Upgraded from the Trigger 8, the Trigger 8 Pro features Nanolite Shield in the shaft and their all-new Agility 3 blade and Dual Feel technology. This is a foam insert in the heel region which drastically improves blade feel when passing and stickhandling.
@@purehockey you need to update the weight for the trigger 8. It's not 435 g
The information we receive for products is from the manufacturers. This stick is slightly heavier than what second price point sticks usually are today, but CCM seems to be focusing on the strength of their sticks rather than weight.
@@purehockey ok that's weird bc other sites have it listed in the low 400s. Doesn't make sense a second price point would be the same weight as the team version that's $100 less
