I met Lisa at the Screen Star event in Birmingham, UK. Such a lovely person and such a privilege to have had the opportunity to meet her here in the UK. Maxine was always my favourite character.
Loved this! Lisa has a great memory, which is a great advantage and goldmine for fans. So many actors understandably don't always remember the fine details this well.
I'm so glad you managed to find Lisa. She is one of my favourite characters from Prisoner and I never thought this interview would happen! She is so lovely, and has barely aged a single day since she played Maxine!
What I’m particularly enjoying about these podcasts is that you’re getting people on we’ve never heard from previously, such as Lisa. Another great interview & looking forward to part 2!
Can't believe Lisa grew up in the same suburb as me and went to the same High school. Great interview Matt and Ken, been waiting for this one for ages!
How wonderful to see Lisa again, looking lovely and sounding happy and at peace with her life. Absolutely love the format of Talking Prisoners interviews. Learning about the actor or supporting crews journey to Prisoner, time their and what happened after the show is such a treat. So great to have such indepth interviews in an informal setting and so giving of the interviewees to share so much of their stories. I really detest how some people dismiss anything but the actual Prisoner conversations as trivial or irrelevant, for me Talking Prisoner provides the full picture on the actors and supporting people who made the show the success it was. Those detractors need to shut up and skip to the bits the want to hear and not be so derogatory to Matt and Kens interviews. Keep up the fantastic work guys, these interviews are so appreciated by most of us. I've loved listening to Lisa's stories and an so looking forward to hearing more from her, brilliant work.
Agree with every word of this! These interviews are fascinating with so much depth and insight that you’d never get in a TV format, where there’s always an element of performance. What makes these so special is the fact that the chat is so natural and you get to see the interviewee’s true personality. So thanks Matt and Ken and keep up the great work!
Wow! Just Wow! Maxie! Thank you so much Ken & Matt, how you managed to organise these interviews is beyond me. This is another one for the UA-cam on the big TV tonight. Again. Wow! Just Wow!
Charm , Good looks , and if that doesn’t work , a good kick up the bum !! . That’s how the awesome uploaders gets these interviews . I’m quoting Helen Smart here 😉😂✌🏻👏👏💯Love Prisoner 🌹👍
How fabulous to see Lisa Crittenden again. Another super relaxed interview full of interesting stories. Love this channel. Thanks so much to Matt and Ken for bringing us this awesome series.
@@TalkingPrisoner I am still working through them. For a while I picked and chose them, but after watching all the Coral Drouyn ones I decided to watch the rest in order, except the new ones which I can't resist :)
Great interview! So I'm guessing this was the mystery interview that Matt spoke about recently. Lisa Crittenden has aged extremely well. She only looks a few years older than Maxine, not 40 years older! Was just watching her on Sons and Daughters too, and she's gorgeous. She still looks great and is young at heart. Every now and then you can see flashes of Maxine for a second or two; she still has that mischievous and cheeky teenage look at times lol. I think she is being very humble regarding her acting career, because she's a very good actor and has been in a few legendary TV series in a regular role! Looking forward to part 2. 👍
This is such a treat. I have always loved your roles Lisa. You may remember me as I reached out to you last year and although it was wonderful to have a conversation with you, you seemed reluctant to do Talking Prisoner and revisit your past acting. I am so glad you changed your mind.
Guys, you continue to knock it out of the park with the guests you've managed to secure and generally upping your game with the whole interview format. Lisa and Pepe have been two of your very best interviewees - engaging, articulate, great storytellers, a real understanding of the "fandom" and just fabulous individuals. I'm just sorry my contributions/questions have really dried up - had a very challenging time in recent months. Talking Prisoner has been an escape and respite throughout though. 🙂
Thank you Matt and Ken,, for another great interview, it is so lovely to see Maxine,, whooppss Sorry lovely to see Lisa, you can still see a bit of cheeky Maxine in Lisa's smile,
Hi Guy"s, Great to see Lisa! She still look's the same. I loved her as Maxine Daniels And her closeness to Lizzie Birdsworth. I also remember Lisa in Shortland Street as well. A great actress. Best wishes to you Lisa, from Liverpool UK 😎✌
@@TalkingPrisoner Yeh they were brilliant together, Sheila really took Lisa under her wing, you could see how fond Sheila truly was of Lisa. It was acting sure, but it seemed so real how loving they were towards eachother. Maxine was one of my favorite's on PCBH. I was gutted when she got killed off she had a spark like no other a magnificent actress. Please pass on my best wishes from Liverpool UK for Lisa 🙂✌
It's great to see Lisa and I'm glad that she agreed to the interview. It's been brilliant and I can wait for part two! Just wanted to say I'm glad Lisa said about Carrie Burton being very like Sister Scott. I always thought the same when we saw shortland street here in the U.K. back in the day. Mind, I loved both Carrie and Sister Scott!
What a splendid surprise Matt & Ken. Lisa looks so young, you would think she was like 45! Fascinating to hear all about Lisa's career in other TV shows & all those wonderful Actors she's worked with. Looking forward to part 2. Maxie was one of my favourite characters & her sudden demise was such a shock & the scene where Bea is reading out Maxie's letter to Lizzie & then Maxine's voice fades in. That's the only time in the entire run where I had tears in my eyes. A real testament to the superb acting & the love we all had for Maxine. Can I ask a question. What was it like working with the battleaxe mother & the snotty sister? Sorry, I don't know their names.
So glad you managed to secure Lisa for interview, well done, another great interview with a great prisoner character. Although part 1 didn't really touch on Prisoner it was fascinating to hear about Lisa's life and career in general and actually it shows great respect to the actor to take time and interest in other works they've done. Can't wait for part 2 and to find out more about Lisa's time there and her experiences working with Sheila, Betty, Carol and Lesley aka Tinker towards Maxines demise.
Lisa looks fucking great. And such a great interview - im in her current line of work so much admiration to her doing this tough job in a bureaucratic sector - I bet shes met a few Vinegar tits in that role too :P. She is a really talented actress and a joy to watch, i hope she is really proud of her accomplishment in the arts. She doesnt even need to try haha she has it
OMG, remember Maxine trying to seduce Tony Berman by waiting for him naked in his bed when he got home from work? She was really on heat! LOL funny as hell! 🤣
WOW G'day "Mad maxine"What can I say about this lady? I don't think words can actually Express what I think of this lady except Genius Lisa's work with Sheila was comedy gold. Lisa talked about a scene where she's used as a decoy to try and steal a rig from the trucker she forgot to mention her outfit LOL best line " let's say I only pull rigs with sleeper cabs" LOL I thought maxines exit was absolutely the saddest moment on prisoner I hold Lisa totally responsible for my dodgy perm back in the 80s LOL as I wanted a maxine perm LOL
1:14:30 Matt we're here for prisoner. The extra stuff you talk about can be done in 30 min. If you didn't cut in while people are in the middle of making a statement. Ken never butts in. Why can't you wait until people finish talking. Matt you've been slipping Coral came on to the show.
Speak for yourself. I enjoyed hearing about Lisa's life and other acting parts. There's a part 2 coming which will no doubt be heavily Prisoner focused. You're very rude with how you phrase your criticisms.
Maybe after all this time the actors don`t just want to talk about Prisoner anymore, yes it is interesting to hear about their time on the show but it is also nice to see what they have been and are doing since the show, can you imagine someone asking you to talk for over an hour or more for something you did over 30 years ago?
You are so rude. Matt hardly ever butts in & besides he is the interviewer. You've been moaning for weeks now. If you don't like the way the interviews are conducted, then don't watch them. It's the same format every time.

My fracioter mad Maxine
Being told she sounds "too Aussie"! LOL... wondering if being Australian has something to do with that??
Lisa's hair looks almost like the hair she had when she played Maxie. All she has to do is cut out and around the ears.
wish you'd concentrate more on her time on prisoner, listening to all that early childhood stuff is 😴 boring
There's part 2 you know.
