- Today we address the problem of why some riders have reported having little to no coolant in their reservoir, and this situation happened to us. But don't worry, there is still coolant / antifreeze in your motorcycle! A lot of people are thinking there is no coolant in their bike at all, but the white tank on the right sight of your ZX6R under the fairings is just your reserve / overflow tank. It does not reflect the actual coolant level in your whole entire cooling system. I show you how to fill this reservoir to the proper level between low and full without any tools at all. The coolant we use is the Kawasaki Aluma Cool, which is a ethylene glycol silicate free solution. The Honda HP coolant for motorcycles, atvs, and side by sides can also be used. If you get the Honda Coolant, you might look in the related items and see if there is one cheaper. Sometimes I see them as cheap as $12 and as much as $20

Yeah it's just something to address and get back to the correct level. If there's nothing in the reservoir you won't be able to tell if your bike has the proper amount of coolant, but if you can see coolant in the tank, you'll know there's coolant in the bike 👍

About the coolant, does it have a regional requirements? Like from NA and SEA region have different climate.
Same with my zx4rr I thought there was no coolant so I bought some. Kawasaki bike is running hot
What temps is ur bike showing when running?
@bikesandbangs I'm in vegas most I seen on my bike is around 237. I ready in the zx4rr group some of the guys bike caught on fire. Do to oil and temp.
Wow yeah that is way hot, borderline over-heating. I would just run the Kawasaki coolant, but get your bike tuned, Moore Mafia flash makes my bikes fan turn on at 185 and it runs way cool now

@@bikesandbangs so I added more coolant today went for a ride got back and the tank was empty again, I added more coolant and I didn’t see anything until it was overflowing but only seemed to fill up right by the cap and not in the lower part of the tank, can to much coolant cause damage or should the overflow take care of it? I’m a little worried any feedback is appreciated
Edit only seemed to fill up the top part of the tank by the cap and did not see any down by the fill lines
I have topped up 2 times above F now it is maintaining the levels between F and L.
After 1st top up it again went down below Low line..
After 2nd top up it again came down but sits in the middle.
And when i ride the bike it goes above F and comes back at the middle when bike cools off.

24, 6r comes with low coolant I had to go back to the dealer the next day to let them know , riding the bike brand new, home my bike started to over heat a little , I asked if they checked the coolant level they didn’t give me a answer I’m sure they didn’t so they gave me a quart of coolant at no cost.
So everyone! if you’re buying a brand new zx6r check you’re coolant level before starting the bike for the first time…..
I have a feeling once they are filled with coolant from the factory The system still has a lot of air in it.
