I know Gamera can turn into a rotating flying saucer shell, but since when did a Kaiju use a rainbow for an attack, or had a literal cannon inside it's throat?
I was never really a fan of the Showa Gamera movies but I think this one is actually pretty good, especially since there are no annoying kids in this one. Although you probably shouldn’t do the gamera movies after Gamera Vs Gyaos and before Gamera Guardian Of The Universe because most of them are just the monster dying and that’s it so only 1 death

EEEEEY, you took one of my suggestions!!!!!! Nice. Gamera vs Barugon is a bit of step-up of the first film. I'm still surprised some of the effects aged well (except the tongue shot for when Barugon is about to kill Onodera, you can clearly tell there's green screen around it) even for 1966. BTW, fair warning if you cover the rest of the Showa era Gamera films (in the future, I doubt you'd cover all of them in just one week), you will notice how low the budget got, especially for the effects. Luckily, the Heisei era's effects are better.
@@CarnageCounts my suspension of disbelief is already taken into consideration when dealing with tokusatsu, it’s just that i never thought someone thought that an ice monster would be weak to water, like to the point that barugon becomes lethargic when misted with water. I give the writers credit, it makes for a unique weakness for an ice monster.
