I get soo happy for no reason when I see a single eyeshadow collection like this 🤤 Soo beautiful. A semi neutral metallic with a more colorful flip makes me swoon
Yay! This is the perfect video for me! Thank you, Kathryn. 🙂 I discovered indie shadows about a year and a half ago after having been a neutrals lover most of my life. I've recently started to branch out into experimenting with color, specifically duochromes and multichromes, and although I am very much enjoying it, I'm still a neutrals girl at heart. And I am definitely all about the sparkles. The more the better. 😁
I figured there had to be more neutral indie lovers out there!! We are kindred spirits haha! I think you'll really love part 2 cause that's for the multichromes/duochromes!
I loved this video-thank you for sharing! Looxi Rose (like the wine) and Angel Wings are 2 favorites of mine, as well as the Roen 11:11 quad (great neutral one and done palette in general!), the Kaja trio in Chocolate Dahlia, PFYF Moby and Nightengale, Colourpop Miser (though I’m not sure if it’s still available as a single), and the Sephora shadow on Fantasia is one of my very favorite rose golds in my collection!
Thank you for sharing your recommendations! I like Rose and Angel Wings, too! Although I think that I prefer the latter. I haven't tried a lot of the others you mentioned, though, so I'll have to keep a look out for a deal to swipe them up!
Hmm I don't think there are any Shine by SD in this video but if you're referring to part 2 in the series I think you may be asking about the shade Celeste!
Those essence melted chrome shadows are so beautiful! I have three of them that I bought quite a few years ago and they still are just as smooth and soft as the day I bought them, and I even took them out of the case and added them to my big adept magnetic palette. Idk if they still sell those anymore. If not, it's a shame because they are such wonderful shadows!
Omg I didn't even THINK about depotting it! That's such a great idea. Mine are soft and creamy still, too! It's crazy how affordable they are for such a great quality. I haven't looked into if they are around anymore but if they aren't I hope they come back some day!
My dream in like is to find the perfect super sparkly, not metallic shimmer palette someday!! My specialty. Old faves are UD Space cowboy *forever*, lots of glamshop shades. My newest favorite is Gina from pretties for your face! It reminds me of new moon from Chanel. Thank you for this video
Hi! Loveeee this video!! It’s super helpful and gives me hope that I’ll be able to wear eyeshadow to work. What brand makes the Animal Kingdom shade? These are all STUNNING 🤩 Do you have any by JDGlow? Those are so so so good
Animal Kingdom is by Menagerie cosmetics, although I have a few dupes for it in my original dupe video! I do have some JD Glow shades, but I've stepped away from the brand after they made some anti-choice comments last summer. Their shades are very beautiful, though!
Im watching this because I'm a part of my friend's wedding coming up and I don't think she wants me to wear bright makeup so I need some more toned down ideas haha
I love this topic. xD as someone who basically wants to do drag when I'm not working and loves giving my gender expression in that way, it's been hard for me to find those beauitful spicy neutrals everyone talks about. I do have some in common with you! I feel like Looxi's Angel Wings should be on this list--I wore this eyeshadow to my recent interview for a job I just accepted, because I knew it would be easy, breezy, beautiful. In addition, I really love Clionadh's Opulent, Terra Moons Lunar Lavender, Starburst, Venus, Meteorite, Aurum Regalia, Palladium, Terra Borealis, and Mocha Twilight if I'm going a little more smoky. I definitely feel like Looxi does a really good job of this as well, but I only recently got my newest order with neutrals to try them out.
Ooooh these are some good recommendations! I think you'll be surprised with some of the shades in part 2 of this video! ;) You are right on the money with your recommendations! I should have put Mocha Twilight in here but I totally forgot about it!! I considered Starburst, too, but the strong magenta-purple base on it had me apprehensive. Maybe I'll have to do another video about "next step neutrals" and include it!
The older I get with more health problems and chronic pain, I’m living for easy one and done shadows. I used to be the queen of color, but I struggle with pain daily, and it just makes me too tired to care about makeup, which makes me a bit sad 😢

Haha we are similar in that way! I also love to see people's single shadow collections, especially neutrals!
I am here for this!!! Give me the spangle in an office appropriate way.
My one goal in life is to be office appropriate bedazzled :'D

Ah yes, Space Cowboy is a classic!! I'm pretty sure Regina collabed with PFYF to make Gina so I'm glad that you enjoy that one!

Haha I feel the same about picking makeup for my own wedding! Best of luck with getting a spectacular neutral look!

What's the nail polish you're wearing here? So pretty! 😍
It’s an OPI burgundy shade with a bunch of different iridescent toppers layered over!

I am so sorry to hear that!
Who makes animal kingdom?
Menagerie Cosmetics, sorry for not better mentioning it!
