European Union subscribers folk! There is a glorious blue-brown from Lethal cosmetics: Biome (9€) as a single (also in the Evergreen palette) very smooth yet shiny and the shifts are clearly visible; great option if you love shifting shadows but want to avoid texture!
i have most of these, but terra borealis and messier are two missing from my collection that i NEED, i always use your codes now (and milly’s) bc you’re my new fav new creator, hands down!
Suuuuch a useful video! This is one of the types of shimmer shadows that I think is a staple option to have one of in a collection! Thank you for the shout out 🥹
I recently got Trixie Cosmetics’ liquid eyeshadow “Summer Flame” because this video inspired me to wear duochrome neutrals. I love it and get compliments daily. Thank you for all your hard work!
Yessss I love these types of eyeshadows. I want to shout out that Looxi Hybrid is an EXACT color dupe for Terra Moons Terra Borealis but it’s a little flakier, requires a little more effort but is way cheaper!
menagerie also has a surprisingly nice blue brown shade. i’ll edit this when i remember the name, but i was surprised! it isn’t as piecy but it’s nice. also the moondust shadow is beautiful. but when you have grisaille and mystic moonpie omg, i can’t turn them down
This was fun! Blue-Browns aren't typically my thing, but I do loveee JD Glow Unexpected. That is such a special shadow, and definitely a favorite in my collection. 👌🏻💜✨
Mystic Moonpie is my favorite neutral-adjacent eyeshadow. I agree with the sparkles almost looking silver! I paired it with Saltwater Pearl from the new Clionadh palette the other day and it was so beautiful ✨✨
I really appreciated you mentioning another creator’s video, talking about the appearance of Grisaille on a deeper skin tone, because I have a medium skin tone, and I have Grisaille and it’s beautiful but not what I expected when I first tried it because it did come off more pink in the base on me. Such good info for someone who is trying to decide ❤ I’m also drawn to these shades and I have quite a few of the ones you mentioned here and didn’t realize I had such a pattern 😂
i'm so drawn to how these shades look in the pan. I love them on the eye and in a swatch too, but there is something about how they look in the pan where you can tell all this shifting colour is gonna appear in the swatch, the potential of the shift is lurking there... sounds dumb lol, but they are still so alluring to me, and I already own three of the shades in this vid
It's so helpful that you show how the shades sheer out after swatching!! I have that PMG palette so I thought I'd be covered in this department, but after seeing how some of the other shades sheer out in such cool ways, I might use this as a buying guide next time I go shopping for singles! I love the PMG shade, I use it most of the times I make a look with that palette, but it always leans very glam and I'd love to have something that could act more like a topper :)
I'm white as a sheet but you made my heart happy when you provided references and resources for those with deeper skin tones. Great job, Riley! You are awesome!
Can’t wait for the newbie content coming up!! A buyers guide for beginners, if you will. Yes! Gotta love a good blue brown!! Thanks for making the upcoming video!! ❤❤❤
YES! thank you! i am wanting a list of the user friendly terra moons eyeshadows aka not large particles or super sparkly. this was VERY helpful. i added interstellar to my list
yes ty! I have a bunch of single shadows and have wanted to do a deep dive post on how duochromes/multichromes with red/brown/tan bases are basically the equivalent of iridescents on deeper skin tones (though this does depend on how deep your skin tone is). Clionadh's deep iridescent series actually makes use of this concept by having all of their typical iridescent shades have that tan base. On lighter skin tones, that base pigment is very strong but on deeper skin tones, you just get whatever shift is present in the actual shimmer particles but at maximum reflectivity.
My bouche is most amused!!! Literal eye candy here 🤩 Just discovered your channel and LOVE the analytical approach with focus on particle size and consistency! can’t wait for your next video as I’ve been itching to dive into the wonderful shifty-shimmery world of indie singles ✨ (but haven’t yet taken that plunge)
I love a good blue brown. Glass Bull is so meh. But the one single I know I love is Snickerdoodle by Looxi. There’s others in palettes I enjoy too but I can’t think of them off the top of my head.
These are my favorite tones for a nuetral multichrome look! I absolutely live Devinah Messier and Mystic Moonpie. Also Asteria is another good one with these similar tones. I havent tried Terra Moons yet but Terra Borealis looks stunning! Im def going to have to try TM.
Thank you!! Omg I used a hot iron and parchment paper on the bottom of it to loosen the glue and then pried the pans out with an x-across knife 🙈 it was chaotic and terrible, 0/10 do not recommend
It was awfullll omg. The packaging is so thick and bulky it took FOREVER for the glue to loosen, if at all, and the mattes all cracked even though I took painstaking efforts to avoid that. Definitely not worth the effort imo
So glad you did this! It's funny, I only own tm cosmic dancer & clionadh abrasion. I came very close to picking up Grissaile quite a few times but changed my mind. I did end up creating a couple shades like this on my own using loose pigments & I do own something quite similar to that GS shade from dose of colors called caffeine queen. Now that I'm into "spicy" neutrals, I have to keep telling myself I don't need any of these! 😅🫶
I feel so validated in my obsessive love of blue/green/brown eyeshadows-I am not alone! Thank you for this wonderqful a feast for the eyes!
As a brown skin girl I APPRECIATE your side note about grisaille ❤

I would love a how-to-depot video when it comes to non-cardboard palettes
This is my favorite category of eyeshadows…if I wasn’t on a no buy my wallet would be in shambles 🤣
Suuuuch a useful video! This is one of the types of shimmer shadows that I think is a staple option to have one of in a collection! Thank you for the shout out 🥹
Absolutely loved this video - it would be great to see you do similar videos for other shade categories.
Yes, yes, yes!!!! The most helpful videos
Thank you!! 🥰 I definitely plan to!!
@@seekingshifts Amazing! Thankyou 😊

Same w/ Looxi Misfit and it also dupes TMs Dark matter as well. Misfit is imo one of Looxi's best shades and so smooth, love it!

Aww thank you so much! All credit goes to glamgirl09 for sharing her experience!
Beautiful and so helpful video
I'm not sure if I have any of these but I always find the shade names fun. The one that is sticking out right now is mystic moon pie.

Looxi has a few blue brown shades as well. Reflection, hybrid, and nirvana come to mind. I have 7 of the ones you mentioned 😂😂😂
I am the true clown for having all 10, all purchased myself lmao
Just sending you so much love.
Very interesting! Messier reads more of a plum base with teal shift on my medium skin

@@seekingshifts You’re very welcome.
LOVE your videos!!!!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Great video! Those tones are my absolute favorite ones!
I can’t believe I don’t own any of the blue brown shades but I definitely added some of these to my wishlist! Great video as always 💞
Great video… would have loved to see CP Glass Bull & MAC Blue Brown included for comparison.. (if you had those?)
Thank you!! I don’t have either of those eyeshadows but I mentioned them because I know they are pretty well known blue-brown pigments!
This was just what I needed! Thank you for the great content

Totally am up for this as a series! Loving the deep dive into single shadows as a newbie myself. Also, how the heck did you depot the PMG eyeshadow??
Thank you!! Omg I used a hot iron and parchment paper on the bottom of it to loosen the glue and then pried the pans out with an x-across knife 🙈 it was chaotic and terrible, 0/10 do not recommend
I loved the GS- Retro. Send it to me if you don’t want it!! 😂😂😂
Do you still have RETRO? It looks like a fab one and done shade! I’m wondering how it possibly compares to Victoria beckham MINK?
😍🥹A _toro sashimi_ shade eyeshadows congress! Thank you🧛🏻♀️🖤
Yeahhhh happy Sunday❤❤❤❤😊Here for it!!! 🎉❤🎉❤😂😂🎉❤ lol blessings
Mystic moon pie reads soo silver on me 🤷
huh, i had no idea this was even a thing. interesting!
How easy was it to depot your PM palette?
It was awfullll omg. The packaging is so thick and bulky it took FOREVER for the glue to loosen, if at all, and the mattes all cracked even though I took painstaking efforts to avoid that. Definitely not worth the effort imo

@@seekingshifts oh that made so much sense
Grisaille and abrasión are the same it’s kinda annoying
They are the the same multichrome shifting pigments with different bases

Omg I am shocked you don’t have Grisaille! I feel like it’s a cult classic. YES Spicy neutrals are a way of life!!
you don’t need anything BUT walk with me on this… looxi hybrid. cheaper than terra moons and similar to the first two
