The Most Frustrating Part About Assassin's Creed Shadows...

- It's been over a week since the reveal of Assassin's Creed Shadows and there has been a lot of negativity surrounding the game. Ubisoft decided to offer some of the most overpriced special editions for a game I've ever seen, and it's incredibly frustrating to me because I would like to be excited for the game, but Ubisoft always has to make some anti-consumer business decision that kills my motivation to talk about the game. When will this company stop hurting their own reputation, with these absurd business practices?

When a single player game has it's own store, we have a fucking problem.
as long as their only selling skins. And not Quest or some shit like that they can do it
didn't Ubisoft start selling this nonsense with ACU? or was it before that?
either way i agree, however i really don't trust Ubi anymore, this whole getting comfortable with not owning our games we pay full price and with the evidence of them taking away such games off of the chosen platform, yeah i don't trust them, they can go broke for all i care, i will not be purchasing any of their games now or in the future.
i want them to go broke so they have to sell their entire IP library to someone who cares about these games and the gaming industry and not some shady company who's only interest is endless money for mediocre trash games.
@@Gurkensuppe007no not even that. Skins should be unlockables for progression and achieving feats in the game. Each skin locked behind a paywall, is a cool challenge or unique mission that could’ve been made instead.
It’s only justifiable in FTP games and maybe live service games.
I honestly don't care. I just buy the standard game and unlock whatever I can..... I'm never tempted by any special outfits.
@@Me_Myself_Maly I most definitely understand what you mean, but I feel like it's an acceptable thing under certain conditions. If a game has a good amount of skins to the point where you'd have trouble using them all, I don't think it's completely unreasonable to have a couple of SUPER high quality skins in a shop (at a reasonable price ofc).
A good example of this is with monster hunter rise which has a billion different styles both through just crafting, layered armor crafting, or through challenges. Still, there are a couple of layered weapons and a couple of layered armor sets in store and it caused an uproar. The game has so many cosmetics you can earn just by playing that the couple of sets in the store genuinely have zero effect. It just looks really cool or is something goofy like stuffed animal weapons.
But either way I think it's a case by case thing. Someone games definitely don't have the right to put skins in a shop, some games I feel could get away with it, if done right.
imagine if people stop buying these versions & the micro transactions. The game will be 50% off 6 months after so I don't care but I know some people do but for the love of god don't pre-order , I feel like this has been said countless times but vote with your wallet.
NOTHING will happen if we play it 3 days late
NOTHING will happen if we play it 6 months late
But THIS is what happens when we keep paying these outrages prices
imma just buy the standard edition. fuck all that.
that's what ive been doing! "oh awesome new game! im gonna wait until it's 50% off to play!" and it's what ive done. i have tons of other games to play along the way!
People on the internet are the Minority
Why would I wait 6 months to buy and play a game that everyone is going to be playing day one and three days early? I'm a day one fan and we finally get to play in Japan! I've waited so long for this moment.
Dude it's just our world now I completely agree with what your saying but everything is expensive now a days
When I play a game, I want to be left wanting more, not being told there will be more.
Well said. Nowadays developers are like "guys guys pwease wait 8 more years we will fix all the bwugs great DLC incoming we swear 🥺"
Not the Developers@@rekhavmenon1507
Bruh..Exactly ! Im so tired of marketting campaigns trying to convince me of stuff to come while trying to get me to pre-order. Just SHOW ME.
So you want DLCs, but not a confirmation they exist?
What
@@rekhavmenon1507I mean, most likely, the devs are just as victims as we are being pushed to such unreasonable deadlines and being forced to such demands that probably ruined the game, but ey, if they wanna get paid they have to do what they are told
I know this has been said quite a lot, but…
If buying digitally isn’t owning, then pirating isn’t stealing.
According to Ubisoft, buying is owning. Paying for a subscription is not owning.
@@HahahMamaman they really said that ??
One day that is not going to hold up in court
How can you sit there and argue that buying a subscription is owning the games you play? What fucking planet are you from?!
You buy a subscription, and you play a game, you don't own that game. You're paying for playing rights.
Still illegal, copywrite infringement, and if standardize would kill the industry.
I don’t understand why this is news every year. It’s the same thing basically. Why are we farming outrage over and over again? Buy it or don’t. Vote with money.
69.99 and you don't even get to play a Japanese samurai. It's a pass.
Did you not see the Japanese lady😂
@@_General_Grievous__ she is a shinobi (ninja) not a samurai.
@@_General_Grievous__are you intentionally missing the point?
@@wassabi-g7p why are you so obsessed with racially pure samurai in your games? You do realize he was a real person and a samurai right? How about you “pass” that racism/sexism elsewhere
@@lukethelegend9705 😂 I knew someone would play the race/ sexism card. Samurai is not a race and neither of the protagonist characters have been historically proven samurai.. Is it so wrong to want a historical samurai warrior? What is wrong with that, seriously? And what if people really want to play a Japanese samurai character? What is wrong with that? What happened to freedom of expression? Nobody can't say anything that is slightly not following the trends nowadays because there is someone like you immediately cancelling them... yet I assume you think of yourself as a democratic/ free world citizen. All that as long as people agree with you right? The slightest disagreement and all that freedom/ democracy goes out the window...
Stuff like this makes the game feel more like a product then a work of art. Like they’re adding stuff just to monetize it instead of it being good for the game.
The thing about this is Ubisoft has been doing this for years I personally will never buy this premium editions. Honestly, the number one thing that pisses me off is the game isnt on steam on pc. I was considering pre ordering it but then I realized I could get ghost of tsushima on pc for 10 dollars cheaper I think u can guess which one I picked lmao
Who buys the gold and ultimate editions of these games? I'd never even consider it and from what I see online, everyone who likes AC, hates these micro transactions and "special" editions to the games. So why does Ubisoft keep making them? Who actually buys them?
Whoever you are... Could you not
People
Yeah, after hearing this, I don’t want to play the game when it comes out
Ubisoft is a push and pull between genuinely great devs, superbly made worlds and games and the demands to make money from the company itself.
I wouldn't say they take massives loses. Avatar was great, Xdefiant has been a relatively postive launch and never take those dislike plugins at face value - those are unreliable.
The problem with preorders before even seeing the gameplay is that there are a LOT of people who preorder the game, so there's no reason for Ubisoft to stop doing that. I know I won't be playing this game at launch and at least a few months after.
I can't really understand the point of all this. There are many expensive games that don't offer to the gamer even half of the time and the experience ubisoft games (especially ac series) offer to us. In any case whoever finds this overcosted can wait to buy it in discount.
The issue is the rewards 130 dollars for cosmetics and a filter is obsurd and 3 days early access is ridiculous the problem isn’t the price but what you pay FOR I don’t want to pay 40 dollars extra to play the game on launch
@@Envixin753 then dont pay 130, problem solved
@@Envixin753 that’s not an issue. It’d be an issue if the base game was priced like that or if you couldn’t get the DLCs any other way, but it’s not like that at all. You won’t pay FOR anything if you just get the base game, you silly boy
I mean they've been doing 3 editions for more than 10 years now, with the same content, why is it a problem now?
Idk why they whining for
It’s always been a problem
Because hating on Ubisoft gets views and likes while not doing anything to actually solve the problem
I am not surprised that the game is top 1 on PSN or Amazon. It's first truly next gen AC in one of the most requested setting. So people will pay any money to play it. I will pre order this game too only after gameplay showcase.
hell yeah.
Man please dont
Pre ordering is not a good idea and not worth it in any gamr
Please wait till it releases thats an advice from the council of the boys
AND the brotherhood
I mean to each their own oppinion the hate on yasuke is dumb though
I bought Mirage and never even played more than 4 hours of it. I hate the gameplay of AC now, I hate the bland cutscenes, I hate the dialogue, and I hate the pricing. I’m likely to never play another AC game ever because I don’t see the point in it and it’s getting too expensive for me to handle.
I'd like to point out Ubi's pricing for Shadows in Canada is ludicrous. Base game is basically $100
AC Valhalla costed 59.99, it's Gold Edition was 109.99, and its Ultimate was 129.99. This was four years ago. If you look up pricing for Odyssey and Origins, it's very similar. Technically it's cheaper now that games are a base of 69.99 and there's four years of inflation to account for.
Seems like Ubisoft has been pricing their games the same and people hate Ubisoft more than ever.
I'll get it when it's on Steam, and on sale. Not before.
The games 130 clams in USD too. I think it’s like 140 or 150 dollars here in Australia which is just bonkers. And yeah, the standard is 70 bucks, but the point still stands
Seeing corporate greed like this makes me not want to play the game at all, honestly. I want to get excited about this, but I just can’t when they do things like this. Player enjoyment should always come first in gaming. And I don’t wanna judge something before I’ve played it, but stuff like this makes the game feel pre-maturely hollow
Your best argument so far that can summarize the whole video "at this price I'm expecting a real Katana" and that's how I feel 😂
Dude its even worse if you live outside of the US. just here in Canada the base game is $90 CAD JUST FOR THE BASE GAME 😭😭😭😭
Man seeing these prices man I hope that Ubisoft doesn't mess up with shadow because I'm really hoping that it will be amazing
Ngl I quit ac a long time ago and stopped watching this channel but I’m back and start watching this again
Well i mean if i can not own my games in future why should i buy it then?
dont buy it then
The fact that this will be the fourth game with an ingame store means the first three worked well enough. Making the whole idea a genius one. Mostly infuriating, but also genius.
The photo mode filter is honestly fucking insane lol
As an AC Fan like you, it breaks my heart as I can already see the game not living upto fans expectations or outdoing Ghost of Tsushima and Ubisoft loosing their foothold, their stocks falling 🥲👍
Just pay $18 for the ubisoft+ subscription and call it a day, 1 month is more than enough for most people to play the game anyways and most of them never return to "old games", expecialy in single player based games
That’s the issue they want you to go for the sub so you get comfortable with not owning your games.
@@lordskkaya4744 you don’t really own any of your games unless you have physical copies
I love AC, I've played every game and enjoy them all for what they are... but. The fact that ubisoft has taken so many hits in recent years and still have the balls to push such corporate greed is just sad. They probably wouldn't survive a legit boycott, but I'd be surprised if we make it further than hex without one.
70 dollars/euros is a lot, but the worst part is it is 60 pounds, and the last thing I heard was the pound inflating. :(:(:(:(:(
70 just like every other game
The most frustrating part… an assassin game base in Japan called Ghost of Tsushima was already made #Masterpiece
I view the ‘3 Day Early Access’ the same as the 6 month early access for the preorder mission. Both are unnecessary and are done to impulse marketing incentives.
I'm just really pissed with Ubisoft after what they did to the Crew...
The answer to your big question is very very simple - Because people will and are paying for it. No one is being held ransom, we all know it will be cheaper if we wait, so if money is the issue, just wait, its a single player game, your experience won’t be effected. $100+ for a game is a lot for a kid, or someone without a full time job, but lets be serious, this franchise is not meant for kids, and the sales numbers don’t lie, I’ve seen two articles so far boasting strong pre-order numbers. As long as sales remain strong, nothing will change, vote with your wallet. In addition, a lot of people expect to get 350-500 hours of gameplay out of this, so I think that is a pretty good deal compared to most other forms of entertainment. I personally got the Ultimate Edition of Valhalla for $29.99, best return on investment I’ve ever had on a game. If I knew I would have enjoyed it so much, I would have jumped in on day one.
Got hyped for the game initially and then saw the prices for the different editions and the hype died
The problem for me isn't really that they sell different editions with different perks. The bigger issue is that the stuff you get in these editions don't justify the price at all imo. Unlike many, I'm fine with 70$ being the new price for standard editions. However, paying like 30-50$ more for editions that basically just offer season pass, some exclusive in-game items and a 3 day early access, which probably won't mean much anyways since I'm guessing most people aren't buying those editions is insane imo.
The way I see it, standard editons and collectors editions are the only game versions that are really worth buying as I don't really see the appeal in exclusive in-game stuff, and I generally think you should only buy expansions once they themselves release. Paying that money up front for expansions you might not even care about seems a bit silly to me.
Totally agree. The base price I feel is justified for games like this. It’s an experience. But you don’t get much more for the extra editions
I'd like to speak from the PoV of someone who is a collector specifically. I have pre-ordered every AC game since Syndicate (Bar odyssey because it didn't look interesting but then I found a half price untouched collector's edition). I buy the Collector's edition for the physical stuff, the statues, the steelcases, the art books etc. The in game content I could not care less about, the pre-order missions are usually short and boring, skill points are just meh I'll get them anyway and the skins I doubt I'll be running them because I like to keep the OG robes/outfits as much as I can (or turn them assassin-like, for Valhalla and Odyssey). This still pisses me off that the editions are this expensive for the standard game and some extra content. I expect the collector's to be expensive. Not the standard and gold and ultimate ones
Picked up Mirage for %50 off the other day. I do the same with every game. There's so many games now a days, just playing something in my backlog till new games go on sale is never an issue.
The reason they continue to do it is because people keep pre-ordering
Just wait a month on any ubisoft game they get at least 30% off on regular editions
With all these so called “extras” for AC shadows makes me question whether or not I’ll even buy this game. It’s all just corporate greed.
I got a tip just don't preorder just wait the 3 days extra and you do not need 5 extra skill points.
Just play the game.
Despite negative trailer rating and hateful comments Ubi will stand its ground, as always. Why? A lot more people will buy pre-order. Simple as that. We've been through this in the past...
No, what's absolutely crap besides the pricing?! Is they made our "Black Samurai" Gay. (Even though in real life, he had a wife and a child) I have 0 against the community, but your crap does not have to be in every show and video games. Shame on Ubisoft..
Just wait a month for it to go on sale or even Black Friday (2 weeks after launch in this case). That's how I've been getting my Ubisoft games for years. They can't help but put their games on sale within the first month. It would probably also have a patch or two by then too.
this is why i play their old game rather than what this company recently releases
At this point the only thing that’s getting Assassinated is our wallets 😭
Ign said that the samurai is gay is it real or fake
The pricing for the ultimate edition in canada where i live is even worse at $170 that’s absurd
Bro ubisoft is legit killing my favorite game franchises with these prices, both Star Wars and ac shadows i may have to hold off on getting simply because they are charging stupid amounts for barely any additional content, it’s wack af and makes me wanna boycott my favorite games which is the worst feeling ever
i dont blame ubi for pricing, its us consumers who have the need to play the game asap day 1
The biggest problem is that it still works out for them despite all the backlash. Valhalla had similar pricings, everyone hated it, but it still made them over a billion dollors, so why would they change anything.
It's the same with EA and Fifa every year. Everyone is complaining that they bring out the same game every year and charge 70-80$, but the game still sells extremly well and they make a lot of money with it, so why change anything?
Valhalla was worth the $70 just because of the amount of content. And exploration. Even though it was a bit much it was an extremely expensive game to make so they have to make their money somewhere
@@letschatMwithJ how u knew it had so much amounth of content before u bought it, and how u know this game is not worth 70?
@@RipaStar00 it’s an open world set in Japan. I know so much because it’s been told to us and it’s promising. All I’m saying is at the moment with what we know it’s gonna have great ideas. But the gameplay trailer will still make or break it. Any game that has anywhere from 10-150 hours of content is worth it to some extent. These games cost them 100s of millions
We need atleast 6 months for this to cool down ...
I don't think the dislikes are because of the pricing..
although i understand the argument i also don't understand why people just don't buy those dumb editions , the ultimate edition price is definitely outrageous but the gold edition pricing seems to make sense and it isn't that unusual to me idk maybe i'm just seeing something different
IDK if on Mirage worked another studio/part of Ubisoft, but that game looks cleaner that Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla and now Shadows - those are packed with bonus stuff, microtransaction and DLCs.
Origins and Valhalla are much better games than Mirage, don’t lie
@@JFVideos960 They are, you are right! but it you'd be better without microtransactions

These companies are barely surviving. Pay $18 if you don't want to pay $130. You get the same thing. If you want to own the game and play the 12th pay $18 now and $20 in like 4 weeks.
Mirage's price $50 Mirage's length 22 hours. Shadows price $70 shadow's length 50 hours. Shadows is the better deal, think like a poor person. Over twice the length for 40% more money is better.

I hope that this will be the tipping point for Ubisoft to tone down, like for real. To sell at 60$ or, at the very least stop monetising everything.
You know that nobody is forcing you to buy a more expensive edition right?
bro you are not alone with these thoughts brother this kinda stuff makes me hate ubisoft so much like why do they always shoot themsleves in the foot do they have a pain kink???
I like what I've seen so far as far as the setting and the protagonists go. But I need to see if Quebec has done *anything* to change the janky, overly exaggerated and poorly animated combat from Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
I've enjoyed all 3 of those games immensely, but combat has always been my least favorite part in all of them. The animations don't look satisfying or like they connect, the weapons are often oversized, and there's no finesse or style like in older ACs.
After playing Ghost of Tsushima for the past week and a half on PC, I can't imagine something as inelegant as Odyssey's system being forced to work with traditional samurai weapons. I might genuinely just skip this game if the combat is 90% the same mechanically and animation-wise.
I don't mind a checklist map + padded playtime if the core mechanics are satisfying and player expression in stylish combat is present. But if I have to trudge through hundreds of camps using nothing but the same weightless, dodge spam-heavy combat from the past 3 games, this might just be the first mainline AC I wait for a sale on.
This is alongside the ridiculous pricing that's more than worth the criticism shown in the vid. The fact that Ubisoft has gotten away with selling cosmetic MTX in all the mainline ACs for years, like they're fucking F2P games, is also horrible.
Quebec only worked on Odyssey, out of those three. Not sure why you brought up Origins and Valhalla
@@JFVideos960 They built on Origins' combat with Odyssey, which Montreal then built on with Valhalla.
That is to say, Quebec rarely changes mechanics on a deeper level. They just iterate, like they did with Syndicate. I'm hoping Shadows is a step outside of that, and that they actually came up with a combat system that isn't just wildly flailing weapons around in exaggerated ways.

Not gonna lie the pricing and how it's being handled bummed me out and having to pay for filters for photo-mode yea that just sucks too
honestly, im taking the gamble, and getting the gold edition, generally because of the dlc prices could stack up to be 40 dollars, and i get to play the game on it’s technically actual release date
All very fair points, and an understandable view.
Just like with the star wars game, I am looking forward to it and might buy it day one (or day +3) if I'm not wrapped up in something else at the time, and if I'm particularly in the mood for it. But I won't touch anything but the standard edition. Honestly, their greed just saps my enthusiasm.
While I've enjoyed every AC I've played, and have absolutely loved most of them, I've only just bought Mirage (standard edition, for half price) and that approach might well be something I stick to with Ubisoft going forward.
Lowkey hoping Ubisoft goes bankrupt and gets bought out
What did you expect from Ubi?
Good for me, out of the three upcoming ACs - I was more interested in AC Hexe then Red (now Shadows). Since if I wanted a Japanese game, then there was ghosts of Tsushima. I am just hoping that Ubisoft doesn't fucks up Hexe that badly.
I remember buying the AC Brotherhood Collectors Edition with this really cool ancient looking box, a movie, the manuscript that looks handwritten and all this stuff for just around 100€….man i miss those days…collectors edition used to be insane and cheap compared to this shit now….but still gonna buy the game anyway cuz i love AC
This is the norm for video games that have many different versions, it was the same with “Suicide squad kills the justice league”, avatar frontiers of Pandora (I actually believe it was more expensive but it was produced by Ubisoft but made by a different company), star field, and many more examples the reason a lot of us are angry is because we remember what it was before games got hit with inflation, and the tech of these games are getting heavily upgraded to make it look more realistic the base edition for GTA 6 is rumored to be 100 usd, this same argument was happening about a decade ago when games went from 50 to 60 ever decade or so game prices go up ten dollars because the graphics and tech that is involved in making these games are expensive not to mention the teams behinds the games as people’s pay goes of the price of things will as well it’s called inflation im tired of hearing this argument every decade, when I was ten I heard this same argument going on between my dad and his friends saying they remember when games where just 30, and that’s when games where 40-45, then when I was 15 the game prices when up to 60-65, then now when I’m in my 20s games are 70-75 USD or more, it has nothing to do with Ubisoft and the same argument happens every 5-10 years in the end my words fall on deaf ears and when games go up to 80 people will be having the same convo
This seems like normal pricing honestly. Most devs offer 40 dollar Season Passes with all upcoming dlc content. Even Dark Souls 3 sold one, with a version over 100 dollars that bundled it with the game. If they sold it separately like every other dev, it’s functionally the same as selling a bundle. And you save money since Valhalla also did this and single dlc’s were 25 a pop. Considering how long AC dlc’s usually are it’s a pretty solid price for those who want to pick it up early. But this has been industry standard pricing for a long time. I get that it may seem weird seeing it bundled. V Rising just went up for preorder on PS5 with a 100 dollar similar bundle, and Space Marine 2 has a 110 bundle. Just buying the season pass. Base game is still 70 bucks.
The extra 20 for the Ultimate Edition is really just the extra skins and what not usually found in the usual Deluxe Edition every game has for 89.99 instead of 69.99. Shadows just doesn’t have a Deluxe Edition and that stuff is bundled in the ‘Deluxe’ or Ultimate Edition. I don’t get why people are freaking out over this. It really is bog standard pricing for dlc packs and has been for like a decade. Lol.
I bought Ultimate Edition, because I waited too long for Japan AC, so I want all there is. But I will ignore Yasuke as much as possible
Greed...the answer is greed.
It's good that you are critical about Ubisoft, and you are right to be so. However, keep in mind that they are also encouraged by consumer behavior. If consumers would stop accepting these greedy practices, and start reacting, then Ubisoft would also be forced to adapt. I believe it's a two-way street.
Shadows is a joke. Ubisoft is a joke.
Ur a joke
If I’ll buy this game it will be at least a week after launch or when it goes on sale. As for the premium cosmetics, on PC everyone will be able to swap the looks of the items easily with mods but they are usually anticlimactic anyway imo.
Geez remember when games used to be 30$ at most. Now we got companies like Ubisoft and even Nintendo becoming corrupted with them basically saying stuff like “We’re going bankrupt give us your money!” One must wonder with games turning for the worst could this possibly be…..the beginning of the end of new games!?!
It seems fair to me. Inflation is high and these days every new 3A game costs 70€ and for better edition these prices are normal today sadly. Maybe lower the price of Ultimate edition from 130 to 120€. And for the gold edition lower that price from 110 to 100. And it would be okay. But pre ordering games in general is bad.
It's even kinda funny how everyone is saying that "it's too expensive" Then there's cod players who are paying full price for the same game every year+those same guys have 0 problem with buying Godzila x Kong skins for 80€ in 70€ game. So this pricing isnt big surprise nowadays.
Inflation only would work if these games didn't sell millions of atleast base copies then mtxs after that
Get the ubi cock out your mouth
It's 2024 and got the Ezio collection for $15 digital on the switch and I like it and it's my first time playing it. I'm still on AC 2
Boycott Ubisoft they've sold their souls to corporate greed, I sadly lost hope in the ac franchise they'll just keep getting worse and worse
$130 for the full game. Don’t at me that “it’s just dlc” bullshit.
The deluxe and ultimate both come out on Nov 12th. You have to pay to play the actual game on its release day now. 3 day early access is a lie. It’s the actual release.
They make you pay for cut content so they can sell it back to you. They’ve been doing this since AC2 and it’s only gotten worse.
Doesnt really matter at this point tbh. We keep saying the same sht every single time and people still buy them. As long as those types of people exist, sht like this will always happen.
crapcom sells fast travels, blizzard selling $50 mounts on diablo, should we talk about EA?.. lol the prices of games going up doesn’t upset me, if it costs $15 theatre ticket and $24 for popcorn, i’ll gladly pay $100 for hundreds of hours of entertainment. early access on sp game is stupid but the season pass at $50 has been that way over a decade. So at least ubisoft does give you the ability to earn most of the cosmetics through daily’s, weekly’s and Ubisoft connect which practically no other company does
The sad part is ppl even from japan are pre ordering the game ! Yeah the trailer got ratio but ppl its still preodering ! If ppl would not do that they would learn they lesson but the trailer getting more dislike i think it the start of ubisoft to finnaly learn
From this to yasuke to Ubisoft crappy public image from its many failures over the years. How have the shareholders not filed a lawsuit already for corporate mismanagement?
Just a reminder Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla sold 50 million copies.

I never played the crew but man i swear if ubisoft ever take a game i PAYED FOR away from me because " i dont own it" ohhh Boy ill go full Edward kenway on them for yeeeears to come if you know what i mean...
yeah, i want Ubisoft to go bankrupt, simply for now being able to own my games and because they pull games off of the market that people have already payed for, they can go bankrupt for all i care, just hope they sell off their IP library to someone who gives a damn about making these games great again and not bullshit scams under current management.
So how do you think this will connect to modern timeline after AC Valhalla and Mirage.....
No no no! U should mention it as THE MOST FRUSTRATING PART OF UBISOFT 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This really sucks its not like am going get an actual hidden blade and a katana if pay for the 110$ going above price tag and this is actually the first ac rpg game I was looking forward to
i love the ac series, but there is absolutely no way they will be able to outdo ghost of tsushima, especislly since they are making a part 2.
i will say, i do enjoy the graphics of ac more than GoT
I mean you shouldn't need any skill points at all, like that's the trash part of what AC became when it's transform into an RPG
Personally, I don't care about the nickel and dime stuff because it's mostly optional, but I can definitely see why people are mad at it. XP boosts and using in-game currency for transmog in Valhalla was dirtbaggy.
I'm in my 40s and I remember new Super Nintendo games being $60 in the 90s so a $70 in 2024 isn't bad (modern video games also take a lot more people to make). I just hope Ubisoft corrects some big mistakes from their previous RPG games like healthy spongey enemies from Odyssey, that bootleg Souls stamina bar from Valhalla, if they're going to use stun finishers to come up with more than 2 finishers. I also hope they'll actually optimize the game (there's no reason why Valhalla takes nearly 4 times the space Odyssey does) and make sure it doesn't crash every hour (like Valhalla). Valhalla left me so bitter, I completely skipped Mirage.
Wait two years for a sale. That's how I enjoyed Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla without being ripped off
Those prices are messed up but i will buy this game and play it. At least i know i had fun playing Vallhala and Odyssey (after i convinced myself that those are RPGs and not AC games) so this will be my strat in shadows. Maybe it´ll be an AC game with assassins, the Brotherhood and Templars, ISU history and an artefact and hopefully Desonds story will finally grogress bcs all we know he is just serching this data tree in Vallhala. Somehow nobody talks about him and the answer he´s searching for from the 3rd game to save the world.
Why ppl still buy from Ubishit is wild to me. Like me, I ditched their shit after Valhalla and got over AC. They killed my love for this franchise
