Wow, that was fast. Anyway, yes it is the same leitmotif, Listen to the Rolling notes in Explore and Flare, they’re the same. G, A#, B, G, A#, G, B, A#, B, G, (repeat 8 times, initial g shifting down a bit each time, until Measure 7&8 where the whole set shift down.)
I think I recognize that violin at 1:21... edit, 4/15/19: There are no additional violins at 1:21. There is a violin at 1:51. Either I made a typo, I was hallucinating, or both.
The Explore part is WAY too calm, but Beatdown is really cool, it seems like a lot of the changes to this version to get the final version were changing leitmotifs to instead be like 3 notes long

Holy shit?? This is so cool?? Also, based on the title of green sun/black rose, was s cascade supposed to be the end of homestuck? Thats so weird to imagine.
I absolutely love unused Flare.
This made me realize that Explore and Cascade sound similar
WarxTron Explore has the same leitmotif as Flare.
@@antheosenigma No it's not, two completely different songs.

It’s more that Flare has the same Leitmotif as Explore, since Explore came first, but we’re getting into the weeds with that.
@@antheosenigma it's still two different chord progressions and melodies. They're similar, but Flare is an original song.

I think I hear upward movement in the background 7:33
Oooh, I really like the alpha-Cascade combined with the Director's Cut! Would you be willing to make a vid with just that song, pretty please?
DANM son.
danm father, danm indeed.
"There is no early versions of these tracks cannot be found"
1:17 is where it gets good
shoot... I'd buy this
My GOG Flare is good.
That first version of Cascade is absolutely epic!!! Why did they take out the Explore and the Beatdown part?? TwT TwT

No, I think it means what it says: "End of Act [5], Final Part" as in it's the final song of EOA5.
@@DokterKaj oh, woops, that probably makes more sense. Still an interesting thought, though!
toby's archive as in the "tobyfox.net/msuics" thing?
or did you mean the soundtest?
No, it was from a leaked Toby's archive.

Is there anywhere I can find the remastered version of Explore in the beginning?
Where did you get these tracks even?
From which version/release of the archive this comes from?
