I rented one of these last Christmas '22 when visiting family and it was a hoot to drive although I'd love a little more power. I didnt know it was a 1L 3-cylinder engine either. A little more power and responsiveness off the line with be nice off the lights, but overall its a highly liveable. Nicely fuel efficient as well.
I've just stepped out of a test drive and while there is a lot to like about the car, the 1Lt turbo and DSG are underwhelming. Turning into an uphill street at low speed you can count seconds before the gearbox wakes up and the turbo spools up and some decent progress happens. Highway performance is only adequate. It's off my shopping list.
Another nice and comprehensive review young fella. Love the Juke but the small engine worries me. We live in Australia, not the UK. Other than that, the car looks great. imo.
2:36 there's no where to put your phone... proceeds to put at the right place. Bruh My pixel 2 XL fits fine over there with my garage keys. With USB cables, I like to get a long one, run it around the console and back to the phone so it doesn't yank in the way.
That is a lot of money for a stupid 1 liter, a definite step back from the sweet, punchy 1.6 liter MR16DDT engine that was the newest engine from Nissan a few years ago. For the price of a base Jule you can buy a MG HS Base which has 17 inch alloy, 1.5 four cylinder turbo, Mid Size SUV with 7 year warranty. for an extra $1,000 the next trim gets synthetic leathers, key-less entry, Sat Nav, rear seat recline-able, lumber support for driver, LCD/analogue dash, climate control, chrome trim, fog lights, lots of USB charge ports, Leather steering wheel and gear knob, sport metal pedals, push button start, LED tail light, indicators on mirror, rear camera, and rear sensors, Driver Safety Suite systems, DRL, Adaptive cruise all for $30,990 Australia dollars Driver away and I forgot touchscreen 10 inch infotainment. I was Shocked I could not believe it... $31K drive away price
Fuel economy seams quite high for a 1 litre turbo, my 1.4 litre turbo gets 5.6 litres per 100km on open road and never above 6.5 litre around town, so I think Nissan has to address the fuel economy. I will stay with my Vitara.
Little 3 pot turbo dsg dam thing is underpowered better options like the Vitara 1.4 t with a 6sp TC auto or the s cross same eng specs about 30k driveway
No Clio or Micra for Aussies as we only buy so called SUVs which are neither - however I like this or Captur or Puma and depends on deal I suppose or best warranty and after service. BTW my RS265 100% reliable since new and after 7 years and 85klm that’s more than can be said for German competition- time to rethink our biases :)
Utterly nasty. How they sell more than a handful of these is beyond me. The quality of finish with the interior plastics is incredible. With an engine that makes a 20 year old Corolla look peppy.
Okay little car for a beginner if the compromises in space, features and lack of material quality aren't too bothersome. Definitely worth the $14k asking price..oh wait, they want nearly $34k for this one..so I guess a real vehicle could be purchased instead. I wish that sometimes reviewers didn't have to think as much about staying in the 'good books' with manufactures and could just be plain speaking about the cheap, hateful things these companies waste earths resources on.
Nissan’s have such a horrible reputation for reliability now (I know they had better decades), so why do people still buy them? Genuine question, I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts.
Why the hell do you guys always review the top of the range instead of base models. Do the car manufacturers pay you to review them. Totally useless review when the average person just wants a base model.
Good review, short note: activate full manual mode by holding the down shift paddle for 3 secs
I own a ST-L for several months and love it. Quirky, European in design and feel. Use Sport mode for extra sauce

Rocking the bowl cut bro!
3:46 wow that is shocking build quality
i find the design refreshing and good looking.
Not an word about the Yaris. Then why put that in the title??
Wish they would bring it back to the US along with the Xterra
Informative review, thanks. Interesting vehicle but I think the likes of Ford Focus Active would be a good alternative.

Now here's a thing that truly divides opinions!
Yes.. and I’d suggest more negative than positive opinions!
@@philiplee7604 I have a positive opinion of your suggestion 😁
Much better design

Looks way better than the old one. This is something I'd take a look at.
That's a Tekna spec but where are the Bose headrest speakers ?
Great review John, looks heaps better than the previous Juke, however for me personally I'd take a Qasqai as I feel it looks a bit more polished.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review ☺️. One of the best SUVs

I'm not sure but is 3 cylinder gonna be a problem in terms of driving experience?
I like the exterior look. Interior less so. But kudos on the big boot.
Finally, a Juke that looks awesome, that last ones I hated the frog eyes.

So do you think it’s better than the Yaris cross?

I like this more than the Yaris Cross but not as much as the Peugeot 2008 or Ford Puma.
That'll look better with long rubber mudflaps in the rear.
Great review! Cheap budget car.
Cool
Weedy engine, jerky gearbox.... hmmm, not for me.
Utterly nasty.

Too much of French - ve reference. Should be avoided.

You don't have to be an expert to make this video. Even a child can do it.
