A quick mid week trip after a cold front to one of our favorite local bodies of water in Utah. Instead of targeting some big Brown Trout this time we focused on trying to find some Smallmouth Bass. We used spinning gear and some fly rods for some topwater action. The fishing wasn't crazy fast but just good enough to make it interesting.

We’ve only ever caught a few by accident. But I have heard they are doing pretty well. I don’t think I’ve seen or heard of huge ones being caught or anything but they do boil yearly.

Some but not that many, they make lots of mushroom heads with weed guards too if you're nervous.
