One of our favorite ways to fish is to target big Brown Trout at Jordanelle in the early part of the year. Preston goes over our top 3 favorite jerkbaits to use to target and catch Browns. We like these as our favorite over years of using them and seeing how they work and how durable they are.

Thank you. Good video! I will have to get some for Jordanelle. Love to catch some Browns. Any recommendations for Bass? I have had no luck for Bass there.
Smaller swimbaits, Berkeley gulp minnows etc, ned rig. Bass can be a little harder to target than the Browns.

Great info!!! Why braid over fliurocarbon on a spinning reel? What lb braid?
Lots of advantages of braid. Smaller diameter, much better sensitivity and it lasts way longer. There is a slight learning curve (how to cast, tricks to avoid loops), but once you figure it out you’ll never go back. Plus you can just put leaders of mono or fluorocarbon on. We like 8lb power pro for braid, it has like a 4lb diameter. We will probably do videos on this soon.
What line do you use with those?
Yeah, I’ll need to go over that in another video. 9/10 times it’s braid, with a 6-10’ mono leader.
