for the record Dinty Moore is 10g of protein PER SERVING so my pull tab 20oz can has 25grams after you do the math. Also the reason it's more solid is because it probably has more fats and that makes it taste better and also Dirty Moore I think has way more beef in it and that's one of the reasons it's better. Also it's gluten free which is nice. If you're sailing and have to eat it at a really cold temp for some reason then the other might be better in that situation. The beef chunks are way bigger too in Dinty Moore and more of them.

I do like the Dinty Moore Beef Stew but yes...it does really look like dog food before it's warmed up! :-)

I know this sounds crazy but the best canned stew I have ever tried was the Albertsons store brand. I do not know who makes their store brand for them but it is actually better than the various national brands out there. Or perhaps, any canned stew tastes good when your fishing or hunting, it’s cold out, and your starving. But ,also, not a good idea to bring up the word diarrhea when you have just opened a can of stew.

Chunky beef stew is NOT the same as it used to be. The missing ingredient is SALT. Put salt in it and it will take much more like the old style.
