Stevie reminds me of that one kid from middle school that nobody would talk to, or hang out with, and maybe you feel a little bad for him so one day you sit by him at lunch but it only takes 5 minutes to understand why everybody avoids them.
She’s absolutely right the fact Steve got hella offended over her opinion of sweep picking and called him out on it HERSELF shows how much more integrity & maturity she has over Stevie T 😭 Being a grown ass adult and publicly shaming & bullying a minor is really sad and pathetic.
I hope he realized it was immature, and doesn't do it again, because I have been a Stevie T fan for a long time and I wouldn't watch him if he still does these kinds of things. However, his channel isn't targeted towards children, and youtube is 13+, so children aren't meant to be on itm
Stevie’s exact comment was “really, really, really?” (In a joking tone while making a funny face). Then, he said ‘I’d hate for someone to come sweep pick over your playing’ and he played his guitar. If you consider that bullying, you have to be one of the softest, weakest, and most fragile human beings on planet Earth.
The contrast between your voice and Stevie T's is like night and day. I'm constantly riding the volume control from when your well spoken gentle voice ends to his icepick in the eardrum bellowing begins. Damn...
As someone who had been bullied for most of my early years, Stevie's behavior makes me so absurdly pissed off. Being on the receiveing end of this type of behavior was borderline traumatic for me, and i don't want to imagine what it would be like for someone like Richard Benson. It's absolutely deplorable
It’s quite clear that Steve was bullied growing up. He thinks it’s due to his appearance most likely, not taking into account his horrible and tasteless personality. Now trying to overcompensate for all of that by not only being a fantastic guitar player (which he is, undoubtedly.) but also an over the top, loud, obnoxious bully. Usually, people who are the most insecure are also more likely to gravitate towards bullying. What makes it the worst is how he tries to mask his bullying as “parody” and makes sure to put a 12 second disclaimer at the end of his videos that “it’s all in good fun and I actually like the person I just roasted to oblivion about their art”. Long story short, Stevie is just an internally sad dude who uses his “humor” to cope.
I was suspended from high school in 1980 in my freshman year for literally knocking out a huge 6`6 12th grade bully. He was the son of the former principal. I fractured his nose and blacked both his eyes with one punch. I lost my temper but nearly everyone on campus saw it at first recess. My dad gave me 20 bucks and took me to our fishing camp on a nearby lake and dropped me off while I was out of school for three days. I grew up doing chores on a 5 acre farm. I loaded, unloaded, chopped, stacked, and carried inside all our firewood each year and weeded three acres of crops and mowed the rest with a push mower, hauled hay, ran 175 fur traps, walked miles hunting, lifted heavy bags of fertilizer, harvested crops, fed and watered a lot of animals, and I wasn`t the right guy to be bullying. I was vindictive too and dangerous. I had an encounter with this same bully years before the only time I went to the town pool. I had never seen the guy before but he reported me to the lifeguard for stealing his diving mask...MY mask, and they took it from me!
Picking on that girl who is learning, developing and showing it to an audience is sickening. Luckily at her young age she is already more mature than Stevie T, so she'll do just fine.
@@richardharrold9736 I mean stevie t is more talented, more musical but not mature than her. Quite noble of that girl to make a response video. In a minute or two, she's shown more professionalism and maturity than a man we could assume is twice her age.
Yeah it was pretty cool she responded. She didn't have to comment in the first place, though. If she didn't like the sweep picking then she didn't have to watch.

His manager is full of shit - while it's true that kids don't PERSONALLY have money, it still absolutely benefits you to appeal to them... guess what... RAID shadow legends don't care who your audience is, if you're getting clicks, they're paying anywhere from $2000 - $10000 for an ad (speaking from experience, a friend of mine makes $4k for every raid ad). It's the same with any brand deal he takes on. Stevie sells product, sure. But his shirts and patreon and shit aren't where the money is for him (hell MY Patreon makes more than his!!!), he's making his money on youtube ads, and 3rd party ads - and when it comes to ads... it doesn't matter who they're served to. You just want the numbers... and kids make those numbers!
Just for giggles, I showed my kids a snippet of one of his videos. For obvious reasons I wasn't going to show all of the content, both of them looked at me and asked "what is wrong with him?" To which I said "nothing, this is how he acts." They both looked at me and said "he's stupid and annoying" and walked out of the room. A tear of joy came to my eye knowing at least to this point I have raised kids to recognize sub-par content and actions/views obviously intended to insult rather than be constructive. Great follow up video.
The whole Adam and Eve sponsor gives a new meaning to the shameless plug thing he referenced in the BetterHelp video. Anyway, Stevie's comment on the girl's video is nearly unreadable due to all the exclamation points and just... poor wording. I like the way he says, *"Hey, you weren't really being hateful in my hate video, but no one's being hateful to you either, I just used you as a source of income so thanks!"*
I think that's one of the worst things about him... he's an insufferable asshole but constantly hides behind being a "nice guy" with his wording/persona. Those are the WORST kind of assholes IMO.
The addition of the "Haha!" made me both chuckle and rear back. Like the guy's a circus jockey up to shady business. Doesn't help the message is directed at a little girl he just got done summoning his followers to "tear apart."
@@brinepacer I mean, it really IS now that I think about it. I used to think he was just an annoying guitar wanker that made a humorous video here and there back in the day but the more I find out about him and the more fame/money he gets the more of a cretin he turns into.

He makes a video about Stevie that is meant to start drama and get views and then puts ads on that video. Sounds to me like he’s doing exactly what Stevie does and is just trying to make money. If he really wants to put his money where his mouth is he would turn off ads on these types of videos instead of capitalizing on drama. Videos with parodies of intellectual property characters from cartoons don’t necessarily mean those videos are made for or targeted at children. Most people should be smart enough to know that on their own but KDH thinks we’re stupid and need to be told how to think since we can’t have informed opinions of our own.
Eh fluff is still pretty guitar based, he’s definitely my favorite out of the group. His rate or roasts and FAQs are like his only non gear demo videos. I still like his content a lot
Fluff does shitposting, and then does decent stuff. I've yet to watch a Stevie T video on the few occasions they have leached their way into my feed and not cringed and closed within a minute. People can have a vast wealth of talent they draw from, I respect the guy for his guitar skills. But he is so deficient in other areas I could give a fuck if they continued to post or not.
I do agree with your last sentences. “Pick either family friendly or not”. As long as he does this he can solve a ton of issues. I don’t know why he doesn’t.
@Бразилец I think it’s just that some parents who aren’t as present in their kid’s life may not know that Stevie T’s content isn’t kid friendly. By a glance it certainly seems that way and might give the wrong impression to parents.
@Бразилец you don’t need to be so defensive. It’s a perfectly rational criticism that a 34 year old successful man should be able to handle himself. Sure, some 8 year olds watch PG-13 movies. It’s not “kid friendly”, but many are able to handle it. What Stevie did however, is the equivalent to Nickelodeon airing Adam and Eve advertising during commercial breaks. It makes it look like he cares more about easy money than he does being a decent role model to an obviously younger audience. While I personally can’t stand him, other people who are sharing reasonable criticism are not “haters” or “Karens” just because they said something that isn’t positive.

The amount of children on here defending Stevie from "KDH's Hate" speaks to the validity of his claims. A lot of the problem with channels like Stevie's is that many guys of his age and generation are stunted man-children. Being 25+ years old and also mentally/emotionally a petulant child who defines themselves by some combination of their video game achievements, anime and cartoon preferences, movie opinions, and rudimentary understanding of sexuality, is sadly too common. Stevie might truly believe he is doing nothing wrong because he is possibly one of those stunted adults who are stuck in a childish mindset, unable to grow up and realize that he is being both ridiculous and harmful. I think the only firmly adult interest he has is making money.
Well you are not wrong there, but in a world of Trump, Musk, Boris Johnson and sadly many others, where there are zero consequences for repugnant behaviour, it does feel like the "stunted man-children" are the new rock stars. It's no wonder kids and idiots love them all, when they get to do exactly what they want and never get told "no" at any point. Wow, you make really valid points here. Great work. This is a suggestion, but I think Stevie should try and construct a mindset where he can keep doing these types of videos, being the child friendly and mature audience oriented content (minus the "ripping on haters" videos, as they're just uncalled for), and not having to compromise between each target audience - if that makes sense. In short, as an example, he can possibly try and divide his audience between a separate channel and his current main one, meaning that he can make videos suitable for kids within the suitable UA-cam kids age range on a child friendly channel, and the usual content on his main, thus possibly making things a little easier and better for himself as well as everyone else. Sorry if that was a bit of a length-y, ranting paragraph, but it just looks better in typed words than me trying to physically speak my opinion. Lol. Again, great work, dude.
TBH it's not THAT much a stretch from stand-up comedians having to do clean material on late-night TV and having separate uncensored material for live tapings at clubs and audio recordings so I think he could (but sadly probably wouldn't.)

Just about all big network programming is full of subliminal sexual and decadent suggestions, especially Disney. I just can't believe this guy devoted 20 minutes of his so called social justice to a UA-cam comic. He clearly is sore because of Steve's success.
@@martinsloan4640 did they show any sex toys? Lol The fact of the matter is that while Steve may be quirky and talks some juvenile topic points , that does not equate to "made for kids". His videos are made for everyone , not just children . Don't you think it is more worth while to call out the parents of children who let them surf the web unsupervised rather than hold creators responsible for children watching them??? Would you hold porn sites accountable for children visiting them , or is it not the parents responsibility to monitor what their children watch? Apply the same principal..... Don't get mad at Stevie T for creating content freely , get mad at the parents who aren't monitoring the content their children are exposed to.
I came across Stevie's channel last month, and I thought, well he plays the guitar well, wish he wouldn't act so juvenlie, but shrugged it off of myself being intolerant. Then I saw him making fun of that guitar shredder guy who had gotten ill, and my view of Stevie changed completely. Now, seeing this video just confirms in what I thought of him: juvenile but well aware of the monetary possebilities of YT videos.
Your channel is nice. I love your hair! Makes me jealous haha. Thank you for defending Richard Benson. He passed recently. I didn't appreciate his character at the time because I didn't understand his life story. Respect to Maestro Benson. (Edit: Are you Irish? Definitely raises a point: Stevie could be the ultimate kids youtuber if he wanted to. But, he could also can and does go for the "Adult Swim" demographic aimed at young adults with racy content. When he straddles both it causes issues. Part of that is: he needs advertising revenue to continue his operation. But he can't always pick and choose the advertiser which is why some of the items or services he advertises can be at odds with the goofy kids friendly attitude. The whole COPPA thing seemed like the death of youtube a year ago. Now, not so much. I haven't heard of a single youtuber who got hit with a single charge. There are other priorities now with the world situation. With the change in administrations in the U.S. in the new year one wonders how heavily this will be enforced since we'll be under a new Government and new priorities such as the pandemic. It's almost like those things are put on the back burner. Once the pandemic starts getting behind us one wonders if the FTC will be focusing on videos to pick and choose. Also given that Stevie is based in Canada (and indeed some video makers are properly off the north american continent) one wonders how far the arm of the U.S. law will extend and if they really have any reach to content creators living in other countries. And nobody ever said where all the money collected from such fines would go. Follow the money. Who benefits?
he did a poll on his twitter asking if he should take the video down. some did say to take it down but the majority said keep it up. thats why its still on youtube
Publicly shaming and bullying? Holy shit people are so god damn soft today. Like literal 4 year olds. It’s absolutely insane.
Stevie’s exact comment was “really, really, really?” (In a joking tone while making a funny face). Then, he said ‘I’d hate for someone to come sweep pick over your playing’ and he played his guitar.

He needs his content to be considered family friendly by UA-cam to get his adsense and sponsors, that just how UA-cam work
@Бразилец you don’t need to be so defensive.

Yeah, KDH trying to analyze Stevie’s videos so deeply is like drama alert trying to analyze a Filthy Frank video. Pointless and dumb as it’s clearly satire. It’s not good content but there’s no reason to look that deep into it, it’s just stupid nonsense for the purpose of entertainment. Meanwhile Stevie T is 3,000,000 subs, had his own signature Keisel guitar, and his growth bought him a huge house. That audience ain't kids. Nor do I care if some kids watch his content.
* By the way...I didn't give the arguments in this video any attention - perhaps y'all made some valid points - I wouldn't now, you lost me within 5 minutes.
It smacked of sour grapes, tall poppy syndrome..and smearing someone with a false take, driven more by personal jeolousy than by actualmoral imperative.
It's pretty pitiful, really. Stevie is the kind of guy that probably would have collab'ed with at some point had youn(I'm directing this to the utuber now..) asked...entirely for YOUR benefit...but you'd rather try to light a fire under him intead.
That could probably work.
TBH it's not THAT much a stretch from stand-up comedians having to do clean material on late-night TV and having separate uncensored material for live tapings at clubs and audio recordings so I think he could (but sadly probably wouldn't.)

I’m not saying sponge Bob is not a kids show but....... it does have some innuendo
yes
I mean yeah, SpongeBob is a program primarily aimed at kids, and I totally think that Stevie T is exploiting that, I totally agree with you. But seriously, there is some dark stuff in there that goes over children's heads. Not as crass as Ren and Stimpy or something, but I absolutely think that a good chunk of SpongeBob viewers is at least in their 20s or 30s.
But you could say that about anything the target audience of the show is still kids therefore the target audience of a video about sponge bob would still be kids
@@rooctherooc2418 I guess you could say that about anything, but it wouldn't always be correct. At least part of SpongeBob is aimed at 30-year-olds. So, by your logic, it also follows that a video about the show can be targeted at 30-year-olds as well. What's your point?
