You notice the lyrics asked the angel how to cross the river, HE asks the question. The angel answers and that's when the female voice joins for the first time in harmony, SHE answers. She's telling him to transcend all that drags us down to become what we were meant to be. To be whole in heart and mind and cross together to the other side. Just my take.
Tool is the head/brain,
I always felt this song was written about humanity. And seems a bit prophetic now, like can't we just stop fighting and hate to move forward as a civilization... I think most of us really want the same things in life and Eden is big enough for us all
If all Americans could open their hearts to this song and its meaning we would be able to move forward together into the future, or the humbling river.

Guys, don’t worry about where you enter the “Puscifer Waters”. They’ve evolved so much in their time, but not in the same sense as Tool. Puscifer’s evolution is not one that has a required path. Their music is a perfectly engineered mix of synth and instrumental, and also a 180 from Tool. MJK falls into the background with Tool, but is outlandish with the characters of Puscifer.
Maynard's lyrics kept me from not ending myself innumerable times
Omgosh I just love watching & being part of this musical journey & discussion with you guys. This song has such a beautiful, ominous tone. So completely opposite of Conditions of my Parole, which is hilarious & funky. Puscifer is such a mixed bag, can't say I totally love all of it but when MJK makes us wait 13 yrs for new Tool, I'll listen to whatever he wants to experiment with!
Gosh I love his lyrics always deep meanings. His voice gets me everytime. I love hearing the different incredible voices of Maynard. I dont think most people realize what an amazing and versatile voice he has.

Congrats fellas. This, in my opinion, is another stone of Maynard Knowledge that you have soaked in extremely well. I'd highly recommend Perfect Circle- disillusioned. It is very accurate pertaining to how people these days live their lives VICARIOUSLY through many outlets rather than living for others and for ourselves.
