Yes! You hit the nail on the head. If I’m wearing something that looks good AND is comfortable, then that helps my emotional state. I can focus on the important tasks at hand. Some of this for me is childhood trauma of not having any current trend clothing and always feeling out of place. Thanks to you, I have now put together a capsule wardrobe that works both casually and professionally-- and was affordable. Keep doing what you do. You are the best! AND I get compliments about always looking nice and put together!!!
Barrel jeans, they look so flattering on my apple shaped body. I bought a pair this last summer and now have three! Gap has a wide variety of barrel shapes, from a hint of barrel to all the way rickety 😊 I for one am loving this trend.
Super fun and I love the long-range fashion forecast approach. I'm in my 60s and have learned to hang on to good pieces-- ie, my original JCrew barn jacket (1994), my JCrew cords in "mocha mousse" (1979), my wide leg jeans (2005) and my mom's mini polka dot dress (1965) #wearyourownvintage 😉

Fun video. I love that like me you apply “to thy own self be true.” I love looking at and putting together styles and colors that work for me. it’s so important for anything in life. Fashion, home decor. I like that, unlike the many, many other trend and fashion videos, you don’t tell us as adults to find a way to use these styles, but rather take what works for you. and leave the rest. I am 5’. 7” with matchstick legs and a skinny long neck. The last few years I couldn’t find anything that fit well that was cut for my body. However, with Talbots extreme discounts this year, and that their cuts were different, I was able to get a new wardrobe of a top and pants for casual,career and dressy styles. I even found a pair of ballet flats and I could wear. For the last 15 years, at age 78, I have just been wearing my favorite SAS tie shoes. Bummer that it’s too cold to wear the ballet flats right now. Some of the trends I modify. Others I don’t do it all such as animal prints which for me send the wrong message for our wildlife.
I know a lot of people dislike barrel jeans but they suit my figure and get compliments when I wear them, I found a pair in H&M not too wide. Polka dots could easily make us look like Minnie Mouse.

I always appreciate your trends videos! Many of these fashion trends are a flashback to the 70s when I started caring about fashion as a middle schooler. As a very petite 59 year old with pale skin, I'm going to struggle with the color, print and pant leg trends this year. Oh well!
I definitely still wear skinny jeans… they look better on me than some other styles. I want to wear some of the fun items, however I know my body type and being short doesn’t allow me to wear some of the jeans I really like. Thank you for giving us ideas on how to implement some of the styles 😊.
If you want barrel leg jeans without buying them take your wide leg jeans and put a snap or button on the bottom of the legs to bring them in narrow at the bottom.
I recently, at age 58, bought horseshoe jeans. They were surprisingly flattering and I got so many compliments! People weren't used to seeing me in something so baggy and thought they looked great. I even styled them with a short top that some might say was way too young (teenager) fo me. It was fun to wear something so different from my usual.

Thank you. I have a fun cow print faux fur jacket I recently got from Nordstrom‘s. I live in a Western state so it totally works here. The barrel jeans and no pants look are a hard no for me as well. Happy new year!
I gave my sons-in-law the Quince cashmere sweaters for Christmas and they were just beautiful. Not too thin (like the ones at Marshalls) and soft as can be. They were a pleasure to gift, classy looking and the guys looked awesome on their date nights. Oh, and also for my 17 year old's boyfriend. It was perfect. I appreciate your thoughts on trends. I was a blue jeans and straight hair 1960’s girl and never really understood trends until the last couple years. Watching UA-cam videos and dressing in a more up to date way helped me feel better after a divorce. Recently though I have been thinking I should stick to classics as I have watched some of my purchases go out of style. Liking Quince lately. Anyway, you are among those who helped me feel better at a difficult time.

Very interesting that the oversized batwing sweater is number one on Amazon. I was just inspired to buy some oversized slouchy sweatshirts online. They were popular in the 90s but not that easy to find anymore.

I have black cow print mules and a matching belt and brown cow print booties and a matching western belt. I love both and consistently get compliments on both when I wear them. I don't know that I would wear a shirt or pants or skirt like I do with leopard print, but IMO cow print accessories are a super fun way to liven up an outfit. 🐄

My 17 year old granddaughter and I had some laughs talking about fashion. She is a cool girl and she admits I am stylish grandmother. We got the giggles trying to imagine each other in the other’s clothing. I still believe she’d look so gorgeous in straight jeans and a cashmere sweater, but she’d stick out like a sore thumb in school!

That was fun! I definitely agree on the barrel jeans. Why do they do this to women and why do some buy and wear them? Love pink but you will get more negative feedback on suggesting pink than if you had suggested wearing real fur. Why are women so resistant to pink? Nope, no, never to the animal prints. Too cheap and cheesy for my tastes. Throw back to seeing it on the 'tarty' ladies back in the 60s! 😂 Love that you noted the designers and trend setters decide to rename everything to 'fool' us into thinking this is all new and we must purchase more. Do they think women are really that dumb? Money is too tight right now for playing games with it. I gave my sons-in-law the Quince cashmere sweaters for Christmas and they were just beautiful. Not too thin (like the ones at Marshalls) and soft as can be. They were a pleasure to gift, classy looking and the guys looked awesome on their date nights. Oh, and also for my 17 year old's boyfriend. It was perfect. I appreciate your thoughts on trends. I was a blue jeans and straight hair 1960’s girl and never really understood trends until the last couple years. Watching UA-cam videos and dressing in a more up to date way helped me feel better after a divorce. Recently though I have been thinking I should stick to classics as I have watched some of my purchases go out of style. Liking Quince lately. Anyway, you are among those who helped me feel better at a difficult time.

Those ponte pants are a great find and they have them in navy, which is rare. (I have ponte pants in black and brown.) Great price too. I will think about that... This was a very fun video. I have always loved animal prints. I've never worn cow and I also don't wear snake. I would like to find something in zebra.

Very interesting that the oversized batwing sweater is number one on Amazon. I was just inspired to buy some oversized slouchy sweatshirts online. They were popular in the 90s but not that easy to find anymore.

I have black cow print mules and a matching belt and brown cow print booties and a matching western belt. I love both and consistently get compliments on both when I wear them. I don't know that I would wear a shirt or pants or skirt like I do with leopard print, but IMO cow print accessories are a super fun way to liven up an outfit. 🐄

My 17 year old granddaughter and I had some laughs talking about fashion. She is a cool girl and she admits I am stylish grandmother. We got the giggles trying to imagine each other in the other’s clothing. Love that you noted the designers and trend setters decide to rename everything to 'fool' us into thinking this is all new and we must purchase more. Do they think women are really that dumb? Money is too tight right now for playing games with it. People are looking at their housing, utilities and grocery store prices first before their nearest retail clothing stores.

1:37 my problem is I have a long torso & have gained about ten lbs. I can not wear the shorter shirts right now until I lose that weight so until then there are not a lot of trends I can’t wear right now. But I am on my way
