All these hardpads are evolving very quickly. Each iteration has a better and better coating and overall the quality has become much higher than we had 2 years ago. I have a Cerapad Kin Osmium, and a GLSSWRKS Kazemi which I now main. I'm curious about the Tekkusai Beast, and drooling over the TJX Kin X simply because the artwork is gorgeous. My bank account is crying.
It's very different in my opinion, the kin v2 was way more textured and had a very organic feel to it in my opinion. this pad feels more like glass in that it's super consistent and smooth (but not too fast)
hey log, I was just wondering what the original resolution of your image was. I'm also interested in picking up a custom kin x and not sure if it will still look good with a slightly upscaled image.
Hey man, the image i used was 4k, but I'd honestly suggest you go higher in terms of resolution if you can. Mine looks great and I'm happy with it, but it isnt as crispy as the TJX Zara pad I have here. I havent checked, but I'm sure there'd be an AI bot or something could upscale image to a higher resolution for you, if its relatively simple in terms of design. maybe that tool doesnt exist but its worth a look. I hope thats helpful dude, go for as high a resolution as you can.
i like the innovation but im concerned about the artwork being at the top layer, my cat would probably scuff the hell out of that also i'd really like to see a full silicon backing at this price point
@coyotex850 I had similar concerns at the start, but after using it for a number of weeks and being quite rough with it, I no longer worry about it cos it's very resilient. I'll do a long term review in a few months time covering it all

The TJX PlastX and X-Ray Obsidian Pro have been the best Dot skates I've tried on glass. The TJX Exact Skates are also amazing
