The definitive review I've been waiting for! I'm personally disappointed it seems to be faster than the Kin V2 (was hoping for the same or even slower) and they've discontinued that. I ordered a couple V2s just to have as backups since they've been on sale. Might try the X anyway but the V2 is already pushing the limits for me.
What your not understanding is we are not using an all in one factory from China. These pads are made in the USA. And we had the chance to put silicone on the back the price was not much more than this carbon fiber vinyl. What we wanted was to create a surface that is not able to be copied and that is owned by us. That's where the majority of the funding went to in this project. It's not really a glass surface. Also because of this coating we are Able to custom print any image any one wants. Which is not available anywhere else. Also having six pad sizes with 6 different price points. That is also not available anywhere else. And this pad surface has the least skin stick out there. And the coating we made in the USA allows for the clearest image printing on any surface available. So there is a lot more going on with the KIN X than going to a factory and ordering one size with one image complete. We could easily do that, but why. We want to create our own factory here in the USA. There is an insane amount of firsts with this kin x surface. Especially the KIN X By You service. And also when we were in talks with our distributors about creating this pad. 2 of them asked us not to use silicone backing as they have nothing but problems with returns as the silicone shifts a ton in temp and humidity changes.
@@tjexclusives Sounds like a long way of saying you just wanted to cheap out. As much as I want a Kin X I HATE the 4 corner bases. My wallhack 3.0 has it and its annoying af having it bend in the middle. Im good.
@@tjexclusives I actually dont care where this pads was made. Whats really important - you selling your glasspad for the same high price like competitors. But all of them have decent full base without any flex, and you using trash flexing "base" from 2020. The surface itself may be good, my comment was only about base, which may hurt user experience and stability. Its terrible decision and ur arguments about "silicone shifts a ton in temp and humidity changes" is weak. I have 5 glasspads rn with full base and they all excellent and sturdy. When you selling piece of glass for 100$+ these risks "silicone shifts" must be on you.
good to see, glass pads pumping out everywhere, thats how your know that price tag is super inflated. will keep eye on sub 50$ ones, probably will be like 90% of the same stuff anyway.
Hope MaxGaming gets these in store, looks great, main selling point for me is the width of the pad, so few hard pads go wider than 500mm ish. For a low sens user that can be the only factor if its usable or not. 610mm might be just perfect. Looks like they could do better with the base though, not a huge fan of the corner dot backing, but hey.. Also how thick is the pad itself? did i miss it ?
I wish these glasspad companies would stop putting so much graphics or at least have options for solid colors. The graphics can make it difficult to match the colorway of your setup room.
that base is actually terrible and its way to thick of a surface in 2024, the performance seems good but those seem to be standout with it, i wish i knew they were gonna make a v2 version anytime soon but with how long it took to get this pad out im not really waiting on them lol

Wow, the base is actually terrible for the price. I thought i will never see something like that in 2024.
agreed, the pad itself seems great but that base is a massive letdown
Wtf, thats actually insane for 127$. Was about to buy but nvm, ill stick with my sp-004

Unironically the base is fine if you get some rubber pads for a few dollars online

This or the hana? Which would you prefer? In terms of the art popping out and smoothness. Also, which is faster?
Color popping will be similar. The Hana may be a tac clearer. The Kin X will have a more unique surface and won't be as fast

A little bit of a big difference lol. For some reason that's an amazing phrase
Its cool they make something larger then 500 width, imo a 600x400 would prob be the ideal size for me.
is it slower than wraith cosmic v2 ?
Moved to glass/aluminium silicate mouse pads.... I'll never go back to another kind of mousepad
Aww man, I really didn't need another mousepad to buy. I love their stuff and that art is beautiful (unlike most of these art pads).
Do you think this or the sp-004 is better
Two different glides. This is a control pad, vs a speed pad like the Wallhack SP004

The Kin X launched in solid black alongside the soar version.
what’s ur colorway?
yeah they trying a bit too hard it is a bit cringe now, espicially all the art pretty much is AI anyway, just a quick money grab.
They're also launching a custom print for an extra 10 soon. Can do a black and white but I also believe they're doing solid colors
does this pad have coating?
It'sa ceramic coated glass pad
@@dakebakeuly5193 so it wiil wear out overtime?
@@ciw8688tj did a test I’m pretty sure using some pretty hard skates and apparently the pad is quite durable no wearing but who knows

Man seeing AI slop with a signature as if the person did anything remotely artistic in making that prompted image makes me laugh.
Pretty sure tj said themselves that the art is done by a local artist no ai bullshit involved
