The bramble might have actually been useful against the last boss for getting rid of the smaller enemies. Since they'd take damage walking past the boss it'd mean they'd stop taking the first 50HP of damage in each attack that wasn't a bomb.
Glorius SuffeRing basically gives you a -2 base / -3 crit damage, but you gain +2 base +2 crit for every regular peg that you hit. Therefore if you hit two regular pegs and crit, you'd be doing a net +1 damage that would also increase the more you hit other pegs. This is the kind of relic that you want to use in a build that focuses on doing massive bouncing combos. With your overwhammer, this would mean that you could use your Daggorb to crit, bounce all over and gain a massive boost in damage due to the already high base damage of the critical for it, then pierce enemies with the overkill damage. Given the fact that you were going for hybrid bomb/crit, this would also serve a good purpose as it would start your bob-orb off doing 0 damage, but the more you bounce, the more damage it does and the more bombs it makes. However, due to the fact that the Chalice was there, I can't fault you for your choice as it is the more consistent option seeing as that is +4 to each critical hit over the variable +2 of the Ring.
@@willnash7907 oh yeah, especially when he got the rubberized ball literally next floor, as that would proc per hit rather than once and then not again. Durable makes that item even better ngl.
There's a program in the background constantly creating morb puns by the minute. Some say it orbiginally was an AI develorbed by the military but all it would do was play pachinko and make puns all day but those people are morbons in my orbinion.
This made me buy the game instatntly. I played through the first Forrest area and had a great time. Can't wait to sit down and really hammer away at it!
I've been enjoying this game. Something that I didn't realise at first that makes a big difference; you get your discards back after you fire an orb, not just on a reload. You can actually bin every other one if you need to.
I love how the giant blob being blinded somehow made him miss you... while you were inside him. You'd think accuracy would no longer be a concern at that point.
This looks fantastic. Jon if you enjoyed this you need to try Roundguard. Similar concept to Peglin/Peggle but it adds enemies you can kill during levels and choice based decisions about where you travel next, dependant on where the final ball lands. Superb game!
It would have been cool if the Slay the Spire ladder was itself a pachinko level, adding an element of randomness on where you go instead of essentially choosing your path.
oh no, Jon's become a peglin! we'll never get him back! well until he misplays a little too badly and rage quits :P Icicle is just a entirely better daggorb!
Dang, that Glorious SuffeRing would have absolutely been overpowered with your build. Essentially it punishes you for small number of hits, but the longer your hit combo the more damage is done each hit. On some of your turns you'd have done close to 600-700 damage and if definitely would have won you that last battle, yet you thoughts for some reason it was bad? It said start out with -2/-3, and gain +2/+2 for each peg hit. This means if you have your daggorb at 2/12 it'd start out at 0/9, then after one hit it's at 2/11, after two hits it's at 4/13, after three it's at 6/15, and so on. It would also have made your boborb do much more damage after a few hits. If you hit more than 2 times on average it's a really powerful item.
4:10 For those keeping track, Jon has passed up a treasure chest on the left path (which gives you a free relic) to instead rush down the right to a boss fight in the hopes of an relic if you survive. Perception strikes again!
The minibosses are better than chests because they give you either a new ball or an upgrade to a ball as well as a relic. They also let you choose between two random relics instead of being given one at random.
You think losing 3 hours is bad When I started Space Engineers years ago I lost 14 hours, I started at 6pm and was confused when I was tired at 8am because the sun was still up
I bought this game! Then spent the next three hours just hitting pegs with balls. (Every bit as fun as it sounds, but quite a bit less erotic. Although... anyway...) That ball that respawns at the top of the board is basically game-breaking against bosses.
I bought this game halfway through the video, somehow I managed to get 25,000 damage with a single bouldorb. I have a feeling the game needs some balance, it's a bit too reliant on RNG and I feel like if you don't go for certain items and builds you don't stand a chance in the 3rd level.
Welcome to MATN's first X-rated video. 🤣😭💀 It doesn't help that the title is Balls to the Wall so reading Peglin wrong at first glance is completely understandable mate lmao.
Day 767 of requesting Zoo Tycoon. I've vaguely heard of this game before, and now that I know it's addictive I know I should probably avoid it... no problem watching it though!
Thinking about how the blinding artifact that John was so excited by, in the final fight, ended up with only a 21% miss chance at 11 stacks. what a shit artifact lol
Why would destroy such a great game like Peggles with pixel look? That is my biggest problem I have with Indiegames. You take a working game play formula add some new ideas, put minimal effort into graphics while people applause you for the "cOoL ARtsStYle" and throw that shit on the market place.
43:00 Jon forgets the easy to hit reset will trigger crits with the allorbnothing and throws it away…never change Jon.

Watching him bin the allorbnothing with an easy shot at the also-a-crit refresh was incredibly painful. Jon please
Sometimes, I'm just amazed by the themes some games use as base construction layer. Thank you for showing me something new Jon
I think this might just fill the Peggle-shaped hole in my heart. I miss that game so much. Thanks, Jon!

the suffering upgrades per pegr so unfortunately unless you refresh in order to bring the peg with the +2 back, you aren't getting any extra damage
The amount of great nostalgic influxes of other games in this is immense.
YES. So excited to see Jon play this.
I've loved this game since the demo. Super excited that Jon found it.

love this game and would love to see it come back as a livestream
Love this game and the video! Can't wait to see more of it.
Peggle but a roguelike is already amazing, but being a goblin is the icing on the cake.
Oh my god this game looks amazing and I need it.

This has been on my steam wish list for awhile but I need this now.
BTW, a reminder you can run the game at 2x speed, it makes the overall gameplay flow a lot better IMO.

Jon totally forgot that R's were also Crits in the last battle
Even though he hit the R and it caused a crit only two shots before he tossed the allorbnothing.

Small correction: You get 1 (by default) orb discards *per turn*.
It's a great game - been watching Aliensrock play it recently and it has loads of depth - would love to see it again on the channel
The all orb nothing was so op (even more op than you thought because you didn’t read all of it) and you never had the opportunity to use it
I have been a fan since the kill everything times. I have never seen a more livestream game for Jon since ftl
You can skip orbs at no penalty.
So using a dag-orb with no crits on the board is a bad idea and it's best to skip it.
He knows. He did this at 43:00 because he couldn't see a good crit for the alorbnothing... Despite the fact refreshes were crits for him.
