The slow motion of top pros show the wrist is really not moving during the contact zone. However many coaches teach using wrist to add spin or snap on serve.

Big hello frome France. Incredible : it’s what I suffer right now (about 2 months) !! And someone told me exactly like you : it comes from the arm not only the wrist ! Thanks you again for your videos. I like them very much. Keep going !🎉

As a tennis coach, I find a common cause is not striking the ball out front and on the rise. The stress to the arm and wrist hitting the ball too far on the side, and not out front causes greater stress and shock to the wrist and forearm.
I also feel some of the crazy extreme grips add to wrist and forearm injuries…especially in younger players that are just learning the game.

My daughter had a TFCC injury in her wrist from tennis (over use). Months of physical therapy did not help, eventually had to have surgery and the surgeon smoothed the freyed areas of the tendons. Took 6 months after surgery to be able to hit full power with no pain.

Both times I ever had wrist pain was when I used Yonex rackets. One was a 270g Ezone DR Lite and the other was a Tour G 310g.
I never had wrist pain when playing with my Wilson K90 and RF97 even when both weighed around 370g.
My guess is lighter rackets let me get away with wristy swing motions, whereas the heavier Wilsons force me to lock my wrist and use my entire body.

    most common causalities are :
-having a too heavy of a racket for the swing type
-too big of a grip size with fast swing, too small and gripping too hard
-over extension at the end of a swing (exaggerated follow through), mostly on low-away balls or reaching high on a flat serve

WRONG WRONG nonsense , Nadal grip size 2 , Djokovic 4 + overgrips Wawrinka racket 372g .... All problems with the wrist , forearm , elbow are WEAK MUSCLE so improve strength in the forearm so you get less impact on surrounding tissue and ligaments !!! Hand grip squeezers are amazing works for me

I got over a freak finger injury and it was two months, and I've had golfers elbow and that took six months but I haven't had a wrist injury. I have been doing Flexbar exercises for 14 years and I do regular weightlifting and maybe that helps. I suspect using classic forehand and backhand strokes would reduce the stress compared to modern strokes but that's just my speculation.

My experience with doctors is that they often recommend unnecessary surgeries, primarily motivated by financial gain. While physical therapy might offer some relief, many therapists lack specialized knowledge about specific injuries, resorting to generic treatments and maximizing visits within insurance limits. It seems neither doctors nor therapists prioritize the patient's best interest.

From my experience as I am recovering from wrist injury (scapholunate ligament insufficiency) and tennis elbow.
    What caused my injury:
    - changing rackets and strings
    - playing with old strings for too long
    - using stiff polys like Tour Bite or Confidential
    - bad technique on forehand (being late and using too much wrist)
    - not doing stretches, excercises, not warming up before playing and not stretching after playing
    How i fixed it:
    - most important: I've started doing excercises with dumbells, stretching my hand and arm and strengthening them
    - lowered string tension to 18kg, now 19kg
    - using one string (currently ending reel of MSV Swift black which is nice soft poly)
    - playing with wrist stabiliser, tapes and kinesiotapes
    - restringing after 20-25h of play
    - fixing my forehand swing and contact point
