There's always a MF harder, richer or better than you
The key is just to be happy yet ambitious
That’s great man I just hit 5 without stopping the other day and yesterday too be proud man ! I used to think I couldn’t do 3
4 miles is a badass accomplishment bro you’re trippin
That is an accomplishment
Dean is a great person. Met him at LA Marathon back in 2008 or 2009. Asked for a picture didn't denie me
You from?
Who's denie?
As an afghan that grew up in war back then. I can 100% agree that Running is cure to alot of problems, mainly mental health issues. I suffered from depression, Ptsd, toxic stress which I still do if I take a break from running. Running changed my life and became a lifestyle, a habit just like breathing. I highly recommend it to anyone cuz nowadays almost everyone suffers from Insecurites, self doubt, loneliness, anxiety, fear, stressed because of the boss at job that always yells. Go running and look at it as a mental exercise not a physical. That's when you see the most benefits of it. Push yourself past your limits, don't give up in the misery moment for that's the exact moment when you build mental toughness which you can use later in your life when approaching a girl, talking in front of public or under any stressful situations. Guess what fear is actually a muscle that you can train.
Salam walekum brother thanks a lot for your very insightful comment. Hope peace and Stability rein Afghanistan.

Back in my freshmen year, I started cross country. I just got out of a summer with 2 terrible relationships and horrible regrets during that time. When I started running, I made better choices to further myself from the decision, met great people, etc. I eventually went from running as an average JV athlete to being the top on my team and making it on school leaderboards 4 years later. Not too long ago, I ran 21.6 miles to school since I moved far away and it was one of my best memories of 2023 so far. I felt so at peace during most of the run as I was alone. I felt so free. I eventually got to school in pain, but I had a smile on my face.
I have been a runner all my life, except for a few years during my early married years. Interesting i grew up in long beach ca. Just a rocks through from Deans home base, graduated in 1981 from woodrow wilson high school. Married a east coast gal from new Hampshire. I did complete 8 ultra marathons and a slew of other distances, probably over 200 races in my lifetime. But in any case as Dean puts it running is incredibly uplifting to ones spirit. No matter what a individuals goals may be, it can transform ones entire life. At 58 im still at it, and God willing i hope im running up until the day i leave this world...peace to all...
Your decision to follow your heart and embrace both the pleasure and surely the pain of running is an inspiration Dean. ❤
He can run more than my car😂
True 😂
But u can cover more distance to a him 👀👀👀
Wait....I thought he was “drinking himself into oblivion” on the same night that he decided to “celebrate his birthday by running instead of drinking”. Something is fishy with this story.
ZHERO ZHERO he was probably already used to running miles because ain’t no way a rookie can just run 30 miles off the bat
He was drinking, thought fuck this, and just ran. Maybe he was a runner and thought the drinking was dumb, maybe he was drunk and didnt feel the pain.
Anthony b I ain’t buying his story. Sounds like he pulled one of those “Million Little Pieces” type of stories for fame and fortune.
@@efilwv1635 maybe
@@efilwv1635 No it's legit. He was getting hammered, started to get smooth talked by a girl, left the bar and started to walk home, only to strip his pants and put on a pair of garden sneakers and boxers and just run. It wasn't fast or strong, but he made it just over 30 miles away
this guy is a legend who will live on forever and forever.
While running one day I felt pain on shin but I couldn't stop. I had this question popping in my mind. What's pain? Then my answer was it's a temporary feeling but regrets are permanent. I rant for 2 hours straight non-stop. Running is freedom any dude out There trying to overcome an addiction or depression just start even at the slowest pace and be consistent your life will change. That's my descent opinion. May God bless you all.
Damn he must be saving a lot of fuel/gas on travel
food expenses through the roof tho
I love this guy. Running is also part of my life.. thank you for the motivation
Las Cruces New Mexico is PROUD of You! We enjoyed you're video! Keep up the good stuff....
Gratitude from the Sticks!!!!
Jordan and Autumn
The way I would run a marathon is go at my comfortable pace never give up motivate myself and last of all stop thinking and just make your body as loose as possible.
I'd probably walk it to be honest, but I'd need a good reason to.
I did one not too long ago just on my own. I live far from school so I did it in my own time since it started late for me. I was going a very slow smooth pace for me. It was actually too comfortable at first, but I got used to it. I didn't stop thinking for about 17 miles as I was happy and very observant. After that, it got a bit challenging so I just got into the zone.
This is easily the most athletic thing a man can achieve
Dean, thank you ❤
I'm watching this right after running 1 mile and I'm dead
"anybody can do it" But he also has a genetic condition that lets him not build up lactate
What is lactate

@@isaacalzate8262 thanks
Wasn't this guy on Stan Lee's superhuman show thing?
True. This is why The Iron Cowboy and David Goggins are both tougher/more inspirational in my mind. But Dean popularized ultra running and is still a phenomenal athlete and a great person.
Did Dean drink alcohol before he took off from the bar to go run 30 miles on his birthday? If so, what did he drink and how much?
@p radioactive spider venom
I personally think running is as important as sleep it does a mental rearrangement and a physical mot of every cell in your body.
Correct
Shut up stupid Gamer You guys just do gaming laying on bed all day what u know about running even?
running even helps you sleep, big bonus
Damn.. this guy even beats most horses at endurance running
0:09 *he ran through the f**king ocean*
He says he’s not special but he is. His body is able to continually flush out lactate or lactic acid (causes the stitch feeling you get in your stomach) and so making it so he can run much much longer. Don’t compare yourself to this guy please, measure yourself to what you did last week and the week before that and so on.
All I hear are excuses. Skill issue!

Legend. I bet he is also really good at ping pong.
Jennyyyyyyyyy
He ran for more than 80 hours, nonstop. Can't even wrap my head around that. Now that I'm 40 y.o. I can't even stay awake for more than 30hours, let alone run more than 1 of them nonstop. Kudos to this beast.
I’m calling cap on this
Running kept me sober from alcohol. Currently 54 days sober
Running is a gift for those who want to embrace it ; run smart
I dont live in New york i live in England but i heard that the Manhattan bridge is like 1.21 miles wrong so if i ever go hopefully i will thats were i will defiently go

This guy runs even in his dreams.
What are you running from
Run Forrest
350 miles That’s almost the distance from Socal - Sacramento. Truly amazing. I could never not even a mile 😂.
I totaly agreed..............
He would be the most feared person in distance track and field and cross country lmao. all seriousness great job to this dude!
THEY DONT KNOW ME SON
Wish i could run like this man , under the stars, while considering transcendence of our world, and a greater relationship with creation. , you could and should market more running and fitness gear, autograph books, shirts, hats, insignia running watches, etc, safe travels and good fortune to you and your people.
I like what he said but I do not agree with what he said , "anyone can run a marathon", I am sitting with 2 total knee replacements, I am thankful that I can walk & I am not in a wheelchair. Not all the bodies are made the same way, I remember a physician who warned me almost 40 years ago, don't run, at every step you exert a jerk of 500 pounds on your knees, may be your knees are composed of steel, mine were made up of lead.
I read your book years ago
Great job. Have a Gud life great achievement
is it a coincidence how the video is 3:50 long?
I find this VERY hard to believe when did he drink water?!
He has a genetic condition that makes his body not build lactic acid which causes his muscles to not feel tired and break down.
Probably had someone driving a "chuck wagon" by his side in the more remote parts of his run to support him.
Bro out ran his ptsd
This guy is a god non stop running.

He put it all in stamina, thats not even fair i just put in size
Hey karnazes what did u drink that night
This guy runs more miles than my car does on a full tank of gas.
Till this day no one has been able to beat Forrest Gump
Omg wtf his legs are broken now
This man can run 20 cities in one day
gas prices gonna get people in this mans mindset
David Goggins will break this record by a half of step soon.
He still needs to break the records of Yainnis Kourros
Frankenstein can really run!
He has more miles than my ford truck which already broke down.
Average car mileage: 300 miles
Dean: I don't need that.
what was his avarage 1k pace?
He ran 560 km in 80h44min so about 8,39 min/km
Does he even walk in between?
no he doesn’t he was born with out a organ or smt i’ve forgot the name of it which pretty much means if ur not born with it it takes u a very long time to get tired so he never gets tired he can run for 50 days straight and not get tired no stopping nothing
dude was running away from his eyebrows
Man is the real Forrest Gump
Well many runners end up jogging in the morning straight to a heart attack, so Mr. Dean good luck to yah!
@ödīñ ŵïlšøń lol good one.
I guess im the only one whos thingking about INTO THE DEAD
Basically there is this guy who ran for 80 hours straight because of a rare genetic condition that speeds of the clearing of lactic acid in his muscles. Why don’t we all have this lmao
Yeah this is the same guy. “I don’t have a gift”, yeah you do.
I saw people can't even run for 5 mins with that pace on treadmill
just saying that this is not possible unless you're loaded, very few perople can just quit their job.
But Forrest Gump ran for for 3 years, 2 months, 14 days, and 16 hours
How can you burn 60 thousand calories without having to eat
He does eat, he eats a lot in order to do this
OMG
Oh this is nothing, by dad used to run to school.
Damn and I thought my 600 meter straight run was impressive (I don’t know why they used meters I’m in Canada)
I fucking hate this "record", cause it's bullshit.
If you read the article about it: "required shoe changes every 50 miles or so". So yes, he DID stop.
I want to know the longest run WITHOUT stopping, like AT ALL. No water break, no shoe changes, ACTUALLY no stops. But you can't seem to find that information online, pretty annoying.
How do you shit
