I would love to see the 100K in the Olympics. I've heard that the reason for not including this race is that the Olympic Committee likes the tradition of the marathon as the longest running event.
Respect 👏👏👏 I did 100kms in 12 hrs on a 1km gravel loop track once. I could never comprehend that pace for 100k . Just running 100 straight is hard enough.
Can't imaging how much effort and training there goes into something like this. Just to run 100 KM no-stop is crazy by itself. I can barely close a 10K sub 40 mins and that is hard for me.
Sub 40 mins 10K is pretty fast though bro. Don’t underestimate yourself.
@@WegrennerX Thanks man, I know it's not generally"slow", required effort for me to get there. But compared to this elite monster, I'm far from that.
You are a great guy Jim, full of admiration, amazing run👏👏👏👏
This is insane. Looking forward to his breaking the record in the near future!
Bro we all know you ain’t
Legend! That is extremely painful and inspiring 🎉
Even in my car with coffees and music , get tired on 100Klm...

JUST UNBELIEVABLE 👏👏👏👏
I can’t imagine running that long with no music! I can’t run without headphones
Same, I'd be bored out of my mind
the only time I ever get bored while running is when I'm
1. alone
2. on a treadmill
I don't use headphones because it distracts me so much.
I don't get people who are bored when they run. Are you just not even trying to go fast or what?
thank god there's a video on this. Seen it on Strava and I was FLABBERGASTED
Why don't you put up the pace in min/km as well for all the non US-American watchers
idek what a mile is :(
multiply mile by 1.6 and you get kilometers.
Think about the cheat day he must’ve had the next day after burning around 7000 calories with this insane effort.
Ran 6 hours to miss the record in 11 sec
Im so sorry for him

This man inspires so much! Hope to one day hold the record for the 100 miler. Bleeding shoulder, lonely road, and a ticking clock. You cannot show anything but respect for his mental strength! "Who is gonna carry the boats?? → He is carrying the boats!"
When you love running but your body made for couching 😉🌍🇿🇦😂
he is amazing. lookin forward to watching him at UTMB 2023
Even with my bike i can't hold this pace !!!
Thanks, what a phenomenal athlete!
built from another material. 99% percent cant run 1km at this pace.
Absolutely mesmerizing...wow! 😮😮😮
